Yes Expedias only showing me 3rd party hotels nearby (Wyndham).

It must be an international thing - whenever I enter my dates and press 'search' a blocker window comes up telling me I cant book less than 7 days out. I've tried the .com website but it just diverts me back to the .co.uk one.

Assuming you're still in UK....have you tried accessing the sites via a VPN set for the US?

SAFD: was supposed to fly on Tuesday but don’t want to stress over lingering weather issues in DC at 4am then, so I’m in the airport now waiting for my backup flight. I also want to enjoy the one day of nicer weather all week tomorrow I have a cheap Ramada by ESPN booked for Tues-Thurs (uber to the expo for CrD on Weds), then Pop Thurs-Tues. Once I’m in the air I’ll book a hotel for tonight and tomorrow night- have been going back and forth about whether I’ll add on at the Ramada or splurge on a Disney hotel (and move hotels x3 ). I saw some great AP deals yesterday when I looked and it’s hard to turn that down. I’ll be laying low working remotely all week from the hotel(s), except for dinner at Epcot Friday. If all goes well on Sunday I’ll be at MK that day and probably Epcot Monday.

SAFD: I arrive Tuesday morning. My stuff arrives Monday. We've taken to driving my wheels whenever its not to over the top of a trip. To prevent the airlines from damaging my wheelchair or handcycle (already had it happen before). Since while the laws are changing to require the airlines to actually train their employees on how to handle medical devices. Its going to be a while before that's an actuality.

And I still don't trust them to not pull irresponsible stuff like they've done. Thinking yeeting peoples medical devices is appropriate actions. (not my experience but I've seen videos of them tossing racing chairs. And sliding chairs and causing damage like its a game. And that's not even starting on the amount of damage I've dealt with. Like its bad enough that during the planned trip to DL that I'm renting a scooter for the last day rather than risk taking my scooter on a plane.)

Will be at expo Wednesday. Hoping for a decent VQ.

Side note any Dopeys not seeing the photophass claim showing? Wondering if because of last name or being wheels I won't see it until its pretty much useless to know my bib number.

I actually did this for my first/only marathon in 2023. I’d like to blame my Garmin that had a daily 5am sleep summary pop up, but I had successfully clicked past that the first three mornings but for whatever reason I flubbed it at the start of the marathon and didn’t actually hit start. I didn’t realize it until roughly .75 miles in.

Okay gen question when did it become two separate numbers? Because when I did it from 2016-2020 and 2022 it was two bibs same number.

Hmmm it IS two bibs but now that you say it, I'm not sure it is two numbers. I did Dopey in 2022 and 2023 and honestly don't recall. Just repeating the speculation I'm seeing elsewhere.

Yeah, I saw that too. Curious if it is referring to the barges being out/on, or if it’s just a locational marker referring to the bridge over the water pageant storage canal and the audio could be for some other form of entertainment in this area. Very curious to see.

Me too. I very much want to get excited about them actually being out and functional, but won't hold my breath. I had the same thought about that being close to where they are stored.

I think the speculation about Challenge runners not having photopass info (bib numbers) is because there are 2 or 4 different photopass codes needed instead of one for singular races.

Driving down via I-95, I-4 Tuesday morning, stop in at Murray Bros. Caddy Shack for lunch! Bringing everything in the closet! Checking into CS mid afternoon and heading to Epcot for the evening and QS supper. AP’s allow us to come and go in the parks each day without pressure to stay all day. See you all at Hurricane Hannah’s on Friday, at the light pole Sat and Sun for Goofy mornings, and at DATW on Monday! Oh, yeah, and Expo on Thursday so we don’t wait in long lines.
