I honestly think Club rD had NO idea DL races would be coming back when they wrote that and opened registration. With DL reg being in a month and already listing club dates, I don't see them re-opening a new club membership for west coast in that timeframe, but I suppose anything is possible. My guess is this year, we'll be grandfathered in. For the next year, there will be a pricier Platinum tier that includes both coasts.

Yeah I assumed this to be the case, because they already have club rD registration dates listed for DL (in 5 weeks!). Maybe they roll out a fall (labor day?) DL race and then separately sell DL club rD for 2024-2025 season?

Landed in MCO, outside bring stick on tarmac waiting for plane to leave so we could park it was as smooth as could be. Luggage battle commences and then off to Wilderness Lodge - so psyched!

This is substantial drop in runners from my first DW in 2018 for the 25th anniversary. I believe there were around 25,000 runners starting.

Also, I haven’t seen anyone mention this yet, but DO NOT RELY on the apple wallet download of your expo pass. When you pull it up in your apple wallet it only gives you your name and birthdate. It does not include your bib number, which you need to pick up your bib (you line up by number, not name). I figured this out when I added my expo pass to apple wallet at W&D and it was a hassle. Thought they would fix it this time around so the wallet pass included your bib, but no. Another example of runDisney IT at its finest. I now just take a screenshot of my expo pass on my phone.

If you click on the three dots and select “Pass Details,” it shows the Bib and Shirt Size along with some additional details.

Was there last night (Disney springs), and fit2run DOES have garmins. I, however, second the idea of doing an Amazon order to your resort or an Amazon locker (if you’ll have a car) if you have a couple of days and want to save money.

Well… runDisney will adamantly tell you no. Now it’s typically possible yes. However, it’s also possible you could be out of luck. I suggest doing the best you possibly can to get to the expo.

They aren’t. I’m not sure they really have a desire to be tho. This is more than 2022 of course. Wine & Dine was also less than pre pandemic but felt “full.” This might be their sweet spot.

Jinxed myself... Flight currently posting a 2.5 hr delay after I arrived 3 hours pre-original departure time. Not going to think about the possibility of a crew timeout .

On the plus side, LGA's renovated terminal is great and it only took 10 min to get through security. 5 min of that was TSA pulling out my bag of epsom salts for being suspicious.

Yes, for the 5K. However, you will still have to go to the expo later that day to pick up the rest of your bibs and shirts for the challenge since they will only provide the 5K bib.

Random question... I arrive @MCO on Thurs at ~4:45 pm. Expo goes until 7pm... Would I be allowed to walk around ESPN area wheeling luggage (carry-on)?
Pretty sure I don't have time to get to hotel first, so thinking of taking uber/lyft directly to ESPN complex...

Last year I saw lots of people there with luggage.

Made it to my resort! I shouldn’t have gotten excited about my Comfort+ upgrade on my flight. The guy sitting next to me brought Popeyes fried chicken AND he took his shoes off and let his foot encroach my space. Like he put his smelly foot on my side of the seat divider and it was touching my backpack. I jinxed it!

My room was ready when I landed and it said the fourth floor. I had to stop at the desk to connect my two reservations so I asked if there was any higher floors and I got 8! Decided against popping into a park and instead eating in my room and going to enjoy a morning of sleeping in with no kid duties Hoping for an early VQ spot (boarding group?) for the expo in the morning.
