Marathon start/finish

The marathon in Oct. is going on while we're going to be there. I can't find any other information on it. DH thought it ended in Epcot on Sat. the 8th, which we had planned to be our Epcot day. We're trying to figure out if we need to adjust our plans. Does anyone know where it starts/ends and when?

sorry the only marathon i've ever seen any thing about is in Jan. how is it different than the regular marathon in Jan?..maybe if you give more info someone could help( like is it sponsered by someone)

October 7-9, the Wide World of Sports Complex will host the "Go the Distance" Expo, displaying a variety of cutting edge products and experts on hand. As part of that event weekend, the 2005 Komen Central Florida Race for the Cure 5K walk/run will be held Saturday, October 8, 2005. Then on October 9, Disney's Race for the Taste 10K will be held in conjunction with Epcot's Food & Wine Festival. Athletes will begin the race in the Disney-MGM Studios with hors d'oeuvres and a toast, then continue along the Boardwalk, finishing in Epcot's World Showcase. Thanks you guys! DH found part of that info. after I posted the thread, but I still didn't know where the race was on the 8th. Thank you for the help! Looks like we scheduled it perfect without knowing it....we're in Epcot on the 8th, AK on the 9th morning, and MGM at night....we will perfectly miss the crowds and craziness without planning for it!
