Does anyone have set dates for this?

The latest I heard was early June to mid August. We are going mid Sepember will will "force" ourselves to also go earlier if the parade will be gone in September. We love it and did not even bother to see Spectro the last 2 trips, but will go early summer just to see MSEP.

I don't *think* there is an official switch date yet.

This is NOT official, but I am of the opinion that they aren't going through all this just to undo it 2 months later. I'd like to see MSEP parade again, too. Spectro is the better parade, but a change-up is fine with me at this point.

I'll be waiting until after the summer, though. I think it'll still be there.

But I could be wrong and end up missing out entirely. It's a risk I'm willing to take, though. Christ himself could show up for Summer Nightastic and I'd be saying, "...but it's so hot..."

There is an official start date. June 6. Haven't heard if there is an official ending date though.

Doesn't Disney know the money they could make from visitors if the parade was around for at least a year or two? MSEP has always been my favorite. Looks like I'll not be seeing it's short return.

There is MUCH speculation (and credible reasoning) that says Disney will simply extend the run of MSEP and/or Summer Nightastic Fireworks well beyond the Summer "end date" of August 14.

Yes, they do.
Which is one of the "credible reasons" that they will likely extend the run of MSEP and/or Summer Nightastic Fireworks well beyond the Summer "end date" of August 14.

It is simply much too early to know this.
Disney will wait to see the kind of reaction to those Summer shows before
making a decision.

The June 6 start date is why I booked an offsite hotel for June 6, which is our last day.

There is no mention of any of the new offerings continuing beyond the promotion. If you want to see MSEP, I would go when you know for sure that you should be able to see it. If I can talk myself into going in the August heat for SNFS, you can do it for MSEP.

There never is, at the beginning of a promotion.

If they extend it, they make that announcement at some point during the promotion.

There are some "extenuating circumstances" that lead many to expect that the MSEP (at least) will continue for awhile.

Time will tell (and so will the DIS.)

If you want to see MSEP, I would go when you know for sure that you should be able to see it.

It's not the heat I'm worried about, it's convincing DH!!!

Yesterday he oversaw year end inventory working 13 hours then sitting at home on the laptop. I did not quite work it into the conversation. Maybe tonight...
