So today I made the mistake of looking at the calendar and counting how many Saturdays were left before our vacation ....then I made the second mistake of looking at one of my fellow cruizers trip report showing a very well organized "stash" of stuff for their cruise Sigh....

I so can't wait for our vacation, just the thought of walking deck 4 after a lovely dinner with the fresh sea breeze .....

Alright everyone, panic mode is setting in. I can actually see the cruise date on my calendar from today's date. It's not that I am not motivated, because I cannot wait for my cruise vacation Its just a time thing....working FT (which things are crazy at) and going to school FT is squeezing every drop from me, then add in time for DH and family......sigh - I know its nothing that everyone doesn't deal with but if I just didn't have to sleep I could get so much more done!

I really need to make a trip to the Disney store outlet but it is quite the drive....maybe I will try to fit that in this week sometime. Of course this would be the semester with the hardest class known to mankind - Financial Management me + accounting =

So I started a "schedule" to fit everything in, yes friends, you read it first here - the QP has started a schedule Good news is I have a 3 day weekend so I will be burning the midnight oil and of course making regular sanity stops at the disboards.....oh how I cannot wait to be smoothly sailing across the crystal blue seas.

We are thinking of cancelling our excursions. We have the stingray snorkel and dolphin excursion but are thinking about just enjoying the ports with some friends. Not sure on that one yet. Well more to come folks but thought I would stop in to share my latest "unpacked" terror.

Alrighty folks, things are starting to rev up in the planning department. Two weeks from now, we will be relaxing either in one of the clubs, on the 4th deck or in our cabin....

After some distraction this week as Ike came through hug: to my fellow Texans that are having a really tough time), I did a pretrip shopping trip today. Found tide packets for $1! I know, such a little thing but just love those little victories. Also had major success finishing up picking up my goodies for the fish extenders - found some cool things, decided I will put labels on them after all. Also picked up the final touches for my secret mickey presents. Just have 2 little things I plan to pick up when I get to WDW the day before the cruise. Now just have to figure out how to get them delivered to the room. Probably will stop by guest services to see if they can help me out.

So, really hoping that since Beverly Hills Chihuahua is premiering why we are on the ship, that they will show it onboard . That looks hilarious

So this week I am going to pull out the suitcases and start working on packing - this is a HUGE improvement for a self-declared procrastinator. Last year, I was literally finishing my packing at 2am the morning we left bad idea, wouldn't recommend it

Since hubby and I are working on our MBAs and working full time, this trip is really something we are looking forward to. Bummer is I found out that one of my teachers isn't feeling too generous so I will have to log on and submit things during the trip - oh well, guess if I have to do a quiz anywhere, there is no place like the big blue ocean !

So the other night I popped on to check for openings for Palo.... and there was one showing!!! So as my fingers clicked and submitted as fast as possible, I was dismayed to see the big red error - "sorry, this time is no longer available" oh well . Okay back to my preparations - more to come in the next days!

So I have reached a crucial stage of my pre trip planning - its the "doing laundry for the trip so I have to find other things to wear" stage. Yep, thats right folks, it is time to make that final clothing decision and start packing them away.

This of course means I have to spend the next week wearing my "not as favorite" clothes but the sacrifice will be worth it when I am not doing laundry at 2am on the day we leave (no I don't speak from experience )

I have also reached that stage of vacation day dreaming. Probably isn't helping that I have this 8x10 picture of DH and I standing in front of the Magic staring at me all day long

Well I convinced my sis that for HER birthday she should allow me to take her to the Disney Store here in town after a lovely dinner of course. Oh the sacrifices I may for sis I figure this should get my Disney fix in and sustain me until next week - at least I hope it will!

Okay, this may make some of you laugh, but I only procrastinate about some things. DH is always on me to "just do things" instead of putting them off. But there are some things that I do so fast it makes his head spin! A perfect example: I have not begun to pack, still have to finish my FE, etc but I spent an hour today looking at the 09 cruises to figure out what one to rebook on board See, I get the fun stuff done ahead of time

Alright down to serious business. Here is my to do's for the weekend:

1. Start packing
1a. figure out which suitcases to take (do I take the Mickey one I bought during a trip last year when I ran out of room or the larger bland red one) to be branded or not to be branded

2. Keep checking my flight to make sure they don't downsize my plane and move our seats around

3. Make the labels for our FE - yes I decided to do it after all

4. Pick up the final gifts for our secret mickey - I love that stuff!

5. Figure out how to fit all the FE in my luggage with essentials like clothes, deoderant, etc

6. Look for a cheaper car rental - Avis is gouging me

7. Wash everything that could possibly be dirty

8. Vacuum AGAIN - why did my dog have to start shedding again this week

9. Get highlights touched up (why yes, those blonde streaks are natural )

10. Decide if I am going to get a pedicure - I have never had one and every cruise I think about it....just the thought of someone staring at my feet and I am soooo ticklish.....

Yes, we really cannot wait for our trip - it cannot come soon enough (although its a good thing it isn't today or I would be going with empty suitcases!)

Well the shopping bug hit me today and before I knew it I had been sucked into our local outlet mall. After a visit to the Disney Store outlet, I found myself standing at the register of a women's clothes store with 3 bags of merchandise!

Now, that is the "bad" news - the good news, I "saved" $317 alone at the clothes store But DH it was SUCH a good deal, look how much money I saved YOU

I got 3 sundresses, a new swimsuit, new capris and some unmentionables (honey I got you a present)

At the Disney outlet, I got my last gifts for my Secret Mickey - I cannot wait to deliver them! I really hope they like them!
