Next Sunday, we are having dinner at Ohana, and we're hoping to go to Magic Kingdom before and after (it's an Extra Magic Hours night). We're trying to figure out the best way to get from MK to Polynesian. It looks like we have two choices: Walk or take the ferry.

Is this right? How long is the walk? Are there no busses? My thinking is if it's a 15 minute walk, but the ferries go every 20 minutes, I'd rather walk.

Any help would be appreciated.

The resort Monorail is your easiest choice.

There is no walking path from MK to the Polynesian. You can take a boat ride directly from MK to the Polynesian dock (with a stop at GF first).

Other choices include heading to the T&T center and heading over to the Poly.

But, to keep things simple, I suggest the resort Monorail.

boat or monorail, no walk...either one is a good option...if you can see the boat take it

The Resort monorail (be sure to take the resort monorail) will take you right to Ohana. (stops at the Contemporary and the TTC first) The station is on the second floor of the Grand Ceremonial House, as is Ohana. If you walk out to the beach afterwards, or would rather see some of the Polynesian grounds, pool, etc, take the resort launch. Perhaps you could take the monorail to Ohana, then after dinner walk out past the pool, down to the beach area and take the boat back to MK. It might be fun to go one way and return another. :)
