AKK
I've never been a drinker, but I don't begrudge those who do it responsibly.
That said, I'm sad at this news today.

I also trust that Disney will instruct their servers in "responsible serving" (to Disney standard) in BOG.
Strangely, I once had a Magic Kingdom photopass CM tell me that due to my Corona tshirt some of my photos wouldn't be on the CD unless I covered the logo with my arms or camera strap. She was right! Some of my photos didn't show up! Seems that they have changed their values somewhat at the Magic Kingdom.
Is alcohol only available with dinner or is lunch included as well?
How would you know this?
No, then it will be different than it is now and some of us don't want that change. I enjoy a drink too now and then but at the MK? No, it's different there, it's so sweet and special and I wish they'd just let it be.

Admittedly not Disney World. However, why has the MK stayed alcohol-free for so long?
Alcohol is the only drug in the U.S. that is legal & it kills innocent people.
I totally agree. Well I don't know about declining standards with the expansions and such going on. There are things that are not being fixed or painted as quickly as before and I have seen pics of trash floating in Splash but it's a question of priorities I guess. Next Gen is costing an amazing amount of money and again I'm worried about how that will impact the experience but I guess change is going to come!Waltgirl said:I do not. This is indicative of current management strategies. They are changing WDW, some for the better and some for the worst. I see it as another step further down the path of declining standards. As someone who has observed public drunkeness to the extreme in Epcot, the day I see that in the MK is probably the last day I go there.
.
A quote from 56 years ago from someone who died before MK even opened doesn't mean much today.
But I'm curious. Which wine goes best with french fries?
