How is it any different that Club 33? It's still only one restaurant serving beer and wine and only during dinner.
Exactly. And they serve at lunch, too. BEST mai tai I've ever had, and woo I was buzzy for at least an hour, walking around "dry"
Disneyland.
Anytime alcohol and MK are mentioned in the same breath, someone always trots out this old hack and it is SOOOO infuriating!!. And it is not even slightly relevant. Club 33 is a private club. It is not open to the park. Joe Schmo from Idaho can't just waltz in and order a brew. The public areas of Disneyland are dry.
The public areas of Disneyland have people walking around who just had a margarita at DCA, a beer in DTD, a mai tai in Club 33.
I'm a normal average person, and I have a friend who made a reservation for me and my family. Can you just walk on up and make a reservation? No, it has to be done in advance and only if you know someone or have a membership, but sometimes some of the reservations at WDW seem like that, too! (and you have to do it further in advance at WDW, too!) But still, normal average people can, and do, eat and drink there every day.
And then walk around the parks under a bit of the influence.
To me, who has been to Club 33, it's not an "old hack", it's a very real comparison.
This is a test, and I have every reason to believe that beer carts will be lined up with the Mickey bar carts before long. And you complain about the aggressive parade crowds now?
Alcohol is a depressant.
I have been carded buying a beer at WDW, and I'm 42.
Booze is EXPENSIVE there.
Also, beer is sold *everywhere* at Universal, even in the line for Forbidden Journey when it's hot (I've seen the cart, but it's never been manned b/c the line hasn't been long enough for it when we've been), and I have never once seen anything *near* aggression at Universal. Nor have I ever heard of it on the Uni forum here.
The people who go to MK are often the same that go to Universal...why would they behave themselves at Universal, surrounded by beer all day long, compared to one single place serving beer and wine at MK?
Alcohol is the only drug in the U.S. that is legal & it kills innocent people.
OH, except for all of those prescription drugs that, I'm fairly certain, kill FAR more people than alcohol does.
Exactly.
The family park idea was what he wanted for his own family as well as others so yes, goodness of heart right there.
And then he smoked all over them and came up with the concept of Club 33.
