For those wondering how FP+ is going with the additional FP, here is how our day went yesterday. After we used our 3, the next ones were available immediately. As in we got a FP at 404 and could use it at 405.

Around 3 we decided to see just how many FP+ we could get in one day. But we ran out of steam by 7! This was our first no kids trip in a while, we would not have been able to do all this with 4 kids!

That's incredible -- thanks for posting! We were just in WDW right before they implemented the 4th+ FP system and things also ran very smoothly for us even then (Easter week). LOVE this new system! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

At the most, yes we Waite 10 minutes. In the summer and once this catches on more they need a lot more kiosks if you can't add from the app.

Some things worth noting- EvERY kiosk has a CM manning it who does everything for you (as I'm typing this my husband is telling me he saw one area that had a larger amount of kiosks where people did it alone) . We never touched a machine. For those of us who knew what was going on and what we wanted, total time at the machine was 1-2 minutes tops. Some families who were confused were there for 10 minutes or more with cast members trying to explain the system.

It does sound like things are getting better though. Be curious in the weeks ahead to hear if the bottlenecks continue.

It would be much better to do it from the phone. But considering at one point Barnstormer had a 40 minute wait an we walked right on (went straight from kiosk to loading) after waiting only 10 minutes at a kiosk, I wasn't too upset.

As long as you use the 4th, you get a 5th. And on and on til park closing.

Wow, I did not realize. I need to find somewhere to print out the directions and rules for the FP+.

We were at MK the same day and had a similar experience. FP+ kiosks ranged from walk up to maybe ten minutes. So much better than waiting in a standby line though.

Couple other things... You can change the 4th (or whatever number ) on the app after you leave the kiosk. HM had been down earlier in the day for hours. Once our first three pre books were over we hit a kiosk. HM was up so we grabbed a FP for the current time. In the short walk over, HM was down again. Talked to the cast member who told me to go to the app and change it to something else or leave it open and then could come to HM anytime later in the evening and it would work. Leaving it would have prevented getting the 5th FP so we switched to buzz - again the current time, no waiting. Later got a 5th, 6th and 7th. By that time the lines were so short it didn't matter to have FP for what we wanted.

If your party splits up, make sure everyone knows how to use the kiosk, make sure only those who you want to assign get assigned (whole party is linked by default but you can change that like on the app). I didn't set my teenagers up on the app before we split up so I had to move some things around on the app for them when they changed their minds. So that was confusing texting back and forth. Should have given them an app tutorial before I set them loose!!

They will definitely need more kiosks during the crowded periods. Yesterday was a dream - a soggy, rainy, chilly dream but we probably did more with smart use of FP+ than with FP- and we thought we were good users of the old system. When it works it is great!
