I found this great explanation of a Fish Extender and the whole idea behind it. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2519285 just scroll down to the post from ilovedevin.

You have to sign up for the Fish Exchange. And there is a cutoff date. The cruise I'm going on in October has set their cutoff for July 28. So that gives two months for to finalize the gifts we'll be giving out. I know it could also get cut off earlier if we get too many people. Don't want to make it too overwhelming or costly. Like...you wouldn't want to have to deliver gifts to 100 rooms. LOL. The woman heading up our Fish Exchange for October is keeping a list of everyone's names, cabin #, ages of children, food allergies, etc. October will be my first time participating in this even though it will be my third Disney Cruise. I'll be happy to be the organizer for the June cruise unless someone else has their heart set on doing it. It's early but I don't mind starting it.

That would be great Maria. We did the FE group with our cruise in March. It was fun. We had 15 families which I thought worked out well. I know some groups will split into multiple groups if you get too many. How many do you have for your October cruise?

We have 16 families/staterooms for October. Which works out to 31 adults and 16 kids. Seems like a good number, I guess sometimes it's one gift per cabin, or for the adults with the kids getting something different. I've got a bunch of ideas for October. Can't wait to start putting them together.

I'll be happy to start the FE group for our June cruise unless someone else wants to do it.

Here is a picture of our FE that we used on our last cruise. I got it through ebay.

I can't believe there are 2 pages of comments already! :goodvibes:goodvibes I don't know that we'll do the fish extenders, is everyone else committing to that already?! Not having to fly is a definite PLUS for me as I am probably the only travel agent with that phobia!

I'm trying to get a ticker set up, anyone have a link I could borrow?

My husband doesnt like to fly either, that is what is so great about this cruise. We are so excited... my son will be turning 3 while we are on the boat so this is part of his bday gift. And my daughter is so excited to be able to meet a princess. Its a year away, but we talk about itt everyday.. something to look forward to :)

So I know we are over a year out from the cruise - but I am already in planning mode :). Has anyone else thought about what park(s) you will be going to on our WDW day?

I think we will start out at MK. We will stay there into the afternoon. My oldest son loves RNR so he and my DH might head to DHS to do that and I might go to AK to do Everest with our youngest since he is tall enough for it now. We will then meet up at Epcot for the rest of the evening.

Is anyone else crazy like me and already planning??

Ive been thinking about it too, probably just going to stay in magic kingdom cause my kiddies are still small. However Ive been thinking about where to eat with them. I want to do lunch w the princess' for my daughter and then chef mickeys for dinner.

Ive also been worrying about sea sickness, this is our first cruise and I dont know what to expect.

Our cruise in March was my boys first cruise and I was worried about them because my oldest can sometimes get car sickness. I bought Bonine For Kids and gave them each a dose before we set sail. They were fine and didn't need anything the rest of the trip.

Also I have questions about dress code for dinner. Are the men not allowed to wear jeans at all? even on non formal nights?

Ok so 1 dose was fine for the whole cruise? Is it an over the counter or a script.. Thanks so much for the info

I think the official dress code says no shorts, tank tops and swimsuits at dinner. I did see a few people wearing jeans. We all wore jeans on Pirate night with our Pirate t-shirts. The rest of the casual nights my husband and boys wore khaki's and polo shirts and I wore capris and a dressy blouse. We got dressed up on Formal & Semi-formal nights.

No - one dose was just for a few hours. I gave it to them the first evening because I didn't know if they would get sick or not but they were fine. It was over the counter.

Im thinking for the formal night we will probably just eat in our room, there is no way Im going to be able to get my husband to get all dressed up on vacation..lol. My son will turn 3 while we will be cruising, hes not allowed to wear khaki shorts at dinner either?
