We have cruised many times before (not dcl) but since they offered kids sail free it is to good of a deal to pass up and we are all so excited!! Our girls are teenagers but truly love anything Disney so better late than never. We would love to participate in the fish extender as well. We are 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters.

You haven't had any trouble getting snorkel equipment the day of? I'm worried about reserving it in advance if the water is going to be cold. We don't do so well in cold ocean.

We have never had trouble getting it same day. The launch of the new ships has really been awesome for cruisers on the classic ships because the beefed up CC to accommodate 4000+ passengers. We've gotten bikes, tubes, snorkel gear, etc, and also awesome oceanfront chairs with umbrellas with no problem!

Also, FWIW, last year at the end of February the water at CC was excellent temp for swimming. I had to drag my family out of the water at the end of the day!

Not yet, but we have most of the details that we need from everyone. I want to give our GTY cruisers a chance to get their cabin assignments so we have fewer changes to make when the final list goes out.

Ok so what is a GTY and PM??? I am new to all this...ha ha ha

GTY is a "guaranteed" cabin category where the passenger is not immediately assigned a cabin number.

Got yeah...so the cabin number they send you when you book online is not a guarantee? They sent us a email with confirmation when we booked and gave us a cabin number

Do you think it's worth it to try to do something princess-ey during the day in Disney or do you think the cruise will offer enough opportunity for my daughter to get her fill of princesses?

I think it depends on how princess-oriented your daughter is! For Lilia, there is plenty of princess interaction on the ship and she wants to ride rides on her WDW day. One of the things we love about the cruise is more personal character interaction. Some little girls will still probably want to meet the princesses at the Magic Kingdom, even if they already saw them on the ship. This is made much easier now that there's a princess meeting spot right inside the park. Just be sure to get there early or grab a FastPass for it, because I heard it gets crazy!

No, if they already gave you a cabin # then you are all set. Only people who specifically book a "GTY" fare are not immediately given a number. It means that they pay a (usually) lower fare in exchange for not being able to request any specifics about their cabin other than the category. They are then guaranteed their category, but not a specific cabin.

I see from your previous posts that you have late dining - we do too! Does your 6yr old make it all the way to the late dining or is it better to plan to have kids eat earlier at the kids club? Or does everyone just shift late on the cruise (late nights/late mornings)?

She is a night owl. She did fine. She actually did not go to the kids club on the Dream.

I would wait. the water runs 60-70 degrees in March
