Magic Goes Texan! Eight Crazy Nights (3/1/2013 Bahamas)

Glad you got the info and thank you for taking your time and organizing this for all of us. Happy New Year everyone.

Ok, friends...last post of the day, I promise! Regarding the Facebook page, please post a message here if you would like to join the FB group and have not already done so. I have gotten a few shady requests to join (I think one may have even been from a DCL crew member), and there are a few members who will be removed shortly if we cannot identify them. To make sure we don't exclude anyone who truly is a part of the group, it would just be easier if I had a heads up so I can accept you (or your spouse/traveling companion, etc). Thanks!!

I think it depends on how princess-oriented your daughter is! :-) For Lilia, there is plenty of princess interaction on the ship and she wants to ride rides on her WDW day. One of the things we love about the cruise is more personal character interaction. Some little girls will still probably want to meet the princesses at the Magic Kingdom, even if they already saw them on the ship. This is made much easier now that there's a princess meeting spot right inside the park. Just be sure to get there early or grab a FastPass for it, because I heard it gets crazy!
Okay - I will relook at some park things. She is still very much into the princesses, so maybe it would be good to something!

Then you shoud book at bibbidy boppity boutique to turn her into a princess and reservation at the castle for lunch or dinner. Almost every princess is there and they come around to every table for pictures and autographes. They get a wand and a picture with Cinderella also. I booked mine new year's day and the earliest they had was 1:45 for the boutique. I would book it today because it books up fast. Happy planning!

One alternative to the lunch with Cinderella (which seems to book up fast) is to have lunch at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. All the princesses are there as well, and a printed photo with Belle was included with lunch. Our girls enjoyed the meal.

However, we also went on a DCL last year, and there were plenty of opportunities to meet princesses on the ship. You might want to focus on the rides when you get to Disney World.

I second the vote for Akershus! We did breakfast there a few years ago and loved it. It's definitely an excellent choice for families who want Epcot but need princesses.

Okay, so when is this dinner? Does everyone attend the character breakfast or is it something we reserve and pay for?

Yes! On the first sea day after your Animator's Palate dinner, I think.

Everyone will have a reserved character breakfast and you do not have to pay it is included. They will let each of us know when we get on the ship along with the dinning rotation.

I reserved our Palo dinner for the key west night, but I'm afraid we'll end up missing a "special" dinner that night...

I think I saw a post on this earlier but I couldn't find it. For the FE was it decided to do family gifts or gifts for each person or is it open for either?

Thanks!

If it is the first sea day will that run into the meet time of 9:30

Some people will definitely have their character breakfast on the first sea day, depending on their dining rotation. Did anyone request a specific rotation? Ours is LAPLAPLA, so we don't have character breakfast until the second day at sea.

Does anyone know if we can find put which characters will be at the breakfast?

It is usually Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip n Dale, and maybe one of the Ducks and/or Minnie. They won't guarantee it ahead of time, though.

I need more posts... there's a lively laundry room discussion - anyone ever scrapped over laundry onboard?
