Magic Double-dip "SCOOP AWAY THE POUNDS"

Peggy Jo
Keep up the good work!!
Rachel
I have been doing the cleanse. When I first started I felt lousey but not has bad has you are feeling. I contacted the company I got it from and they explained that the more toxic you are the more difficult it will be on your body. Can you lessen how much you are taking? I hope you are feeling better.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes! I feel a little less crappy today. I contacted the company and sat on hold for an hour when I finally gave up. I'm hanging in there with it because I'm in hopes it's releasing toxins and that's why I feel so bad. I'm on a low amount to begin with, but hey, I guess it's doing it's job!

Congrats on everybody's losses! Keep up the good work !!!!! Onward & downward....

Rachel - how are you feeling today? I thought about you this morning when I took my cleanse. I thought maybe it might be ok, to stop the tea and the pills and just do the cleanse for a couple of days. I think it's that combination that made my DH feel crappy. It will still cleanse you because that's got the physillium (sp?) in it. So you will at least get part of the cleansing process.

Well weigh in is today - after my weekend of feeling yucky and yesterday too. I realize now, I most likely had a bug, one of the guys I work with was ill over the weekend too.

I ate soup yesterday and then at night was starving and stopped off on the way home and ate a slice of pizza...NOT ON PROGRAM. I know that sounds silly, but I realized that what I was eating was making me feel bloated and no matter what I ate it didn't seem to matter. So I had the pizza and nothing... I just went to bed early and this morning put my pants on (a button was missing on the waist band) but because there are three sets of button on these particular pants I just skipped the first one. I went potty after my first morning assignment was done and guess what???

I buttoned my pants OVER ONE BUTTON!!!! So my waist has gone down!!!! I loose it first in my chest and waist as I am a "G" type (hippy) well, actually I'm a JLO type gal with a butt - which right now is more like the size of a barn door. But it will be nice to continue thinking (visulization) of myself at a "normal" weight and how nice it will be to get around easier... whew! I feel so much better today, THANK THE LORD!

Hope you are all drinking your h20 - gals... our cruise is getting closer and closer!

I'm hitting the gym again tonight, I've noticed that the swimming is re-shaping my legs already! (They will require tons of work - I hate my legs). Unlike my sister ibouncetoo who has the best legs in the family!

Ok, back to work for me! Michelle - Kaykels - Rachel- FairyGod Mother how are you gals today?

WOW, everybody is rolling-I am so proud! Congrats to everyone. I had my weigh in on Tue and I stayed the same. I was OK with that because we went to Williamsburg for a Mother's Day weekend trip and I ate like a HOG!!!! I have been looking into the cleanse and I think once school is over (end of May for me) I am going to give it a try. One motivator that I am using this week that may help you guys- I put a bottle of suntan lotion near my fridge. Whenever I go to get something I shouldn't I take a wiff of that lotion, imagine myself on the deck of the Magic looking skinny and then I put the food away! Give it a try! Keep up the good work everyone!

Peggy Jo
You go girl :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Nothing better then realizing you are shrinking. That is always so much more important then what the scales says. Keep up the GREAT work.
Sherry
Always not loosing is better then gaining. I love the suntan lotion idea.
Hope everyone is doing well. This has been a stressful week for me Angelina was home Tues and Wed and I have been working on all of the projects that I got envolved in for Vito's grad. So even though I am not overeating my body is holding on to its reserve, so I know I wont loose this week. Hopefully I dont gain.

Mom2dil.. We must be close to each other if you are talking about Williamsburg VA. Congrats on the status quo. Love the suntain lotion idea as well.

Michelle hang in there it will happen.

Well in an hour I will know if the walking and raquetball had any effect. I will update later.

edited to add: I lost .4lbs. I was hoping for more, but I will take it. I am gonna stay on my weekly points this week and see if next week is any better.

faireygod mother: Yes ma'am- I am talking Williamsburg Va, I see that you are a VA Beach girl! I live in Chesterfield- do you know where that is? I also noticed that you are from NY but have transplanted here- I am sure you love your home town but has Virginia won you over yet?

I'm a little worried that we haven't heard from Rachel. Maybe I should p.m. her.

Dee - you are my mentor, you are consistent and it's paid off - not only for you but for me as well. I remember back when I was having such a hard time getting going... now I'm swimming 3x a week and last week I took a water aerobics class for an hour and loved it. Total loss so far 7 POUNDS!!!! YIPEE! I have my mini goals set and my plan worked out for exercise for the next couple of months. BOY what I would give to be able to play racquetball again, and know my knee will hold up. One thing is, every pound that comes off, my knee is getting better and better! I used to play racquetball in NY on a company team (softball too) and boy did I love it. Wanna come to AZ and visit and we can play in the fall? I know saying now wouldn't be much enticement with the heat... ;)

Michelle - you hang in there, it's a roller coaster ride for sure... don't give up.

Sherry - I LOVE your idea about the sun tan lotion...awesome motivation getting the smell sense involved too! See, why I love you guys?

Down another pound for me this week! :thumbsup2 I had a couple of slip ups from the plan (a french fry incident :guilty: ), but all in all a pretty darn good week. Sugar doesn't see to be an issue any longer....getting 'clean' from that really helps...it's like a drug, you know? And the LA Lite bars help with the need for chocolate. Still having a salty-crunchy issue though...any suggestions for help with that would be appriciated.

Now that we've hit the 25 W2C (weeks to cruise), I'm feeling that under-the-gun pressure and, as a procrastinator, I work better under pressure ::yes::

Gotta get in fresh supplies and dream up some interesting lunches. The next two weeks are going to be very hectic at work and I don't want to resort to running to a restaurant and grabbing something fast OR fattening jsut because of that pressure. I'll need plenty of on-plan snacks available too.

Have a great week everyone, and check in with us NO MATTER HOW YOU ARE DOING....Ok?

I'm still kicking, thanks for the concern everyone! I'm not quite myself yet but I'm not down for the count. It's a little flu-like but I'm hanging in there. On the flip side,
Colby is better. He's back in school but still coughing and wheezing. He is such a trooper. He's out looking for snakes and frogs with my hubby. I'm sure he'll come in looking like a swamp rat.
.... oh, here he comes as I'm typing..... carrying a caterpillar. He's huffing and puffing from chasing a rabbit. Can't keep a 5 year old down!
Thanks for the well wishes
and Peggy Jo, Jackie and Dee, you guys are great inspiration. I can't wait to get well so I can MOVE.
Where are you from in AZ? I have a lot of family out there and our next trip is in March. We're flying into Phoenix, visiting family in Wickenburg, then heading through Sedona and then on up to Page. Page is heaven on earth. That's where my mother lived most of her life, before it was a huge resort area. I wish I was there now, we're sick of the cold rain in Philly!
CONGRATS EVERYONE!

Glad your back! I'm also glad to hear Colby is out and about being a boy again! Jackie and I live in Phoenix. I was married in Sedona and would live in Flagstaff / Williams 1/2 the year if I could manage. I do love Page/Strawberry and Heber (rim) too. This is the most fantastic state for diversity. Maybe not people wise I'd have to give NYC that one! But for topographical rating...

One of my dear friends (Dave the pilot) lives in Wickenberg and flys to work (S.W. Aviation Insurance) everyday over to Scottsdale Airport. We've hiked Vulture Peak (check it out when you hit town).

If you have time for a dis-meet while you are here it would be great! I could take the kids horseback riding... we can play it by ear of course - so you can feel at ease about us not being axe murderers...(had to throw that in!) Ok, I really should get off the computer and get ready for work. I'm already late, but I just don't feel like WORKING TODAY!!!!! ARRRGHHHH Chat with you guys later!

Peggy Jo I'll have to pick your brain about hot spots to visit since we'll be covering so much territory (Pheonix on up to the Utah border)
My cousins live in Pheonix, and my grandpa was from Jerome. My mom was born in Yuma and they landed in Page and stayed until my grandma got sick and then traded houses with somebody in Congress. Which always cracked me up!
I'll drop you a line before we're coming. Maybe we can meet up for some authentic Mexican!

Mom2dil.. I have adjusted to Virginia. I do believe I know where Chersterfield is.

Okay, you guys are really keeping me going. On Friday I decided to walk up two flights of stairs in the parking garage for some asditional excercise and then was going to catch the elevator. Well I did the 2 and thought, I can another 2, and then I was to embarrased to take the elevator for the last two. Needles to say my legs were feeling weak and I huffed and puffed all the way to the other side of the garage. :rotfl2: Could hardly wait to get in the car. Sure hope it helped.

Tiggerspal, Congrats. What an awesome loss. I would love to do some swimming, but we are not going to open the pool this year as we close on the house the end of June. I used the pool last year to work out and what a differance that made.

Rachel, glad you are starting to feel better.

Jackie, I know what you mean about the sugar it is the same for me with the carbs. Hang in there and keep ou the good work.

We are becoming a bunch of big losers. :teeth:

Hey Guys- you guys are rocking the weigh-loss good for you!

kaykels: your Colby sounds like my little boys. They love all things frogs and worms. Throw in some sticks and rocks and they are all set. Don't you just love little boys! They are too much fun!

ibouncetoo: You so consistant with that weight loss- I am so proud and I know that you will keep it off because you are doing it slow and steady. Those type of losers are the best! For the salty thing- have you tried whole wheat tostito chips? They are really good- throw in a little salsa and I have myself a little party for one!

I weigh in tomorrow! Wish me luck and pixie dust! If I have a decent loss (or at this point I am hoping for any loss at all) our team could take the money for this session! I will keep you posted!
Sherry:)

mom2dil...sending you luck and a little magic :stir: and some pixiedust:

Hope your team is a bunch of big losers

mom2dil, be sure and let us know how you and the team did!

I officially hit the 10 pound mark this morning!
:jumping1: :jumping1:

I spent a whole 20 minutes on the treadmill at work last night....just kind of strolling along, not exactly what you could call a work-out, but it's 20 minutes on my feet!!

ONWARD & DOWNWARD everyone!

Is it too late to join? I've checked this thread several times, as I've been working on losing since January! I am the slowest weight loser in history, I swear. Anyhow, in the past 4 months, I've lost 10 pounds. But, I'm frustrated and I've been for a month or so...really just hanging on a scale bungee. Up two, down one, up three (this morning:( ), down two. I figure if you all will let me mooch off of your goodwill, maybe I can spread a little of my own and karma will help me melt a few more. I could stand to lose many more than a few, but I'm a "baby step" kind of gal.

Even if the goodwill doesn't work, I'll tell you I am so amazed at you all for keeping up and keeping steady. Weight loss sure can be tough going at times.

Hang in there, all....Carolyn

ibouncetoo: You rock girl- keep up the good work!

Carolyn: Hello and welcome- you will find some wonderful support here! Good luck!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I weighed in today and lost 3 lbs this week!!! I was so happy and I appreciate all of the kind words you guys had for me! My team finished second so we didn't take the money but that is OK with me...I feel like I am still a winner for getting this jump start and finding you guys!
Keep up the good work losers!

Hey Carolyn! Glad to have you join us. I was the champion of the down two, up one, down one, up three game! When Peg went back and joind LA WeightLoss I decided to 'get real' too. I'm just kind of following her plan with slightly more portions in protein and veggies as I'm 'bigger' than my little sister! ;)

The more people checking in the better. Post your success and your struggles (as we all have both) HEAR THAT YOU LURKERS!!!!!

mom2dil sorry your team didn't take home the $$$, but 'loosing' in this case is still a good thing!

Now I have to go eat some veggies!
