I’m not gonna lie….I’ve always been a fan of rice cakes. I don’t always buy them though, because I don’t eat them all the time and then they go stale and I end throwing them away - stale rice cakes are awful. I started eating rice cakes in high school, which was 37 years ago. I’ve struggled with my weight since I was a teenager - I’ve never been someone that could eat whatever I wanted. There’s a lot more rice cake flavors today than what there was 37 years ago, but I don’t buy them all. I’m going to the grocery store today and rice cakes are on my grocery list, which is what inspired this poll. I’ve had a taste for them lately, so I’ll pick a package up today. For those that want to learn about rice cakes, here ya go……

I was surprised to read they’ve been around for 9000 years and that there’s all those different types. It’s always good to learn something new. So, now I want to learn what your opinion is of these flat round disks. Give us your rice filled answer today……..

What is your opinion of rice cakes?
If you eat them, what time of day to you eat them?
(multiple choice)

*Please post what flavor(s) you enjoy and what you put on them - this will help give others different things that they can try.

For Me……I like them a lot, but not love them. I normally buy regular/plain or chocolate, with chocolate being my favorite. I only put peanut butter on them, but after reading the info I posted, I may try putting tuna on them - I never thought to do that until this morning. Putting peanut butter on the chocolate ones is sooooo….good! This I love! I really hope the chocolate ones are at the grocery store today - they sell out fast and aren’t always there. When I eat them is in the afternoon for lunch or for a snack if I know I’m eating a late dinner that night.

They are OK. For me, it's a trade-off: Low calorie vs. high glycemic index. Mostly we'll get chocolate or caramel rice cakes, to put in the LittleGuy's daily school snack. We don't normally eat them other than that. However... I did NOT know mochi are considered rice cakes; might have to rethink that!

I’ve had them in the past they’re OK but after reading this I may give them another try because you know I need to get off the chocolate🤣🤣🤣 And I don’t wanna be eating chips so these would be a nice choice when I want something but I don’t want to be eating something fattening so I need to give these another try it’s been years and I gotta go to the store today myself so I may pick me up some very enlightening thank you so much!!!😊

I don't really care for them and never buy them.
high glycemic index definitely makes them a NO. Not worth that at all.

I don't buy them. It's been decades since I've had one. I don't strongly dislike them, just not something I'd generally eat.

They're ok, but I don't like them enough to buy them.

I do, on occasion, but those frozen mochi ice cream treats if they're on sale.

I haven't had them for a while, but I sometimes buy the small flavored ones in individual serving packs to go in lunches. I used to like rice cakes for breakfast with yogurt and fruit.

I've had them in the past but not recently. I ate them back in the days when gluten-free options were scarce. But now that there are plenty of options, I don't but them.

My attorneys Duncan & Hines advise me that this product does not meet the qualifications for "cake" and that any comment from me could be misconstrued as an endorsement of said product;)
