Magic deck 2 ocean view - November

What can you tell me about mid ship deck 2 on the Magic in November. Just a bit worried about movement. We typically do a balcony cabin, but it's pricey and our OBB is blacked out.

This will be the Mexican Riviera. We haven't done this sailing at this time of year before.

Very little movement on deck 2, you actually feel it more higher up. We've been in Oceanview rooms near the aft elevators on deck 2 on the Wonder (Alaska) 2116 and Magic (Baltic Sea) 2108. We love that location and love the big porthole. Midship should have even less movement. Just to let you know the laundry is across from 2096, so I would avoid rooms right around that area.

Was on deck 2 of the Magic last month and loved it. So convenient to decks 3 and 4, and close to the laundry station.

We regularly stay on deck 2 and LOVE it. We tend to stay close to the laundry (we've not found it to be noisy, the elevators are what you really want to avoid) The views from the portholes are GREAT. I definitely feel the motion of the ship higher up, so lower is so much better if you're prone to be affected by the movement of the ship.

We have sailed Deck 2 midship at least a dozen times. Always love that location and hardly ever feel movement. An ocean view will give you close up view of the water.

I definitely feel the motion of the ship higher up, so lower is so much better if you're prone to be affected by the movement of the ship.

We actually love being by the elevators as we feel kind of claustrophobic in the hallways sometimes and love having our room in an open area. We have never been bothered by noise in that location (just stayed on Fantasy deck 9 forward by the elevators with no issues...but moved to deck 7 for our upcoming Dream cruise to have a little less sway and was trying to avoid an area with Midship detective agency artwork...so we avoided decks 6 and 8). You do hear the occasional families talking as they walk by, but that can happen just about anywhere. We haven't stayed by the laundry, just noticed how warm the hallway is in that area and thought it might be louder with people going to/from the laundry.

It's great that we all have different preferences, then we can get the rooms we each want!

Deck 2 midship would have the least amount of movement out of any set of rooms on the entire ship

In May we did a B2B on the Magic. We have never been in an OV before and wanted to try it. So I booked stateroom 2590 for the first leg of our B2B. The room was nice and we did like seeing the water through the big porthole, but unfortunately it was noisy. It sounded like they were moving chairs or furniture above us every night. I think maybe Lumiere's was above us. I'm not sure what it was but my mom is a very light sleeper and it really bothered her. Luckily for the second leg, I had booked us a veranda on the 6th floor aft. No issues there.

Big giant porthole, it's great. We had one for Alaska and didn't miss the verandah at all. With three kids in two staterooms, we actually thought that the OV room felt bigger than a verandah room because you didn't have to worry about keeping the path to the sliding glass door clear. You could leave a backpack or park the stroller by the port hole, which freed up some floor space elsewhere.

Overall, being midship, I did not feel much movement at all. I do think location matters; we were not quite as far back as Lumiere's, so I think it was guest services above us, and did not hear much at all. I would not have liked a room too close to the laundry though, way too much chatter in the hallway near there!

Deck 2 mid is our go-to on the Classics. We've stayed in oceanview and verandah higher up and we really prefer deck 2 mid. I probably shouldn't say this because I feel like every cruise we do we have a harder and harder time booking our preferred room!

Hi There! Going on our first ever Disney Cruise on the Wonder and our room on Deck 2 is right below Guest Services which gets me slightly worried. Do you recall what stateroom you were in? It's reassuring to hear that you didn't hear much at all under Guest Services.

We sailed a transatlantic in November. We were on deck 2 originally under Rapunzel's. It was SO loud after dinner service LOL The cleaning up process was thorough... Due to a maintenance problem, they ended up moving us to a room right under O'Gills. We LOVED the location. The only time we had noise was during the 2 hurricanes we sailed around/thru when the waves were slapping the side of the ship. (sounded like someone left a heavy door open to continually slam all night) But that is going to be a problem on all mid to forward rooms during a massive storm. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again on a calmer sailing.
