Magic Bands info for the new test dates in August

So the question is, say this 4-day rule ends up being true, can you use the regular FPs on the other days?

This four day rule is probably not true but even if it were true, you could still use regular fastpass on other days.

My point in mentioning this call was that there is just absolutely no consistency from one phone call to another. :confused3 My question when I called had to do with upgrading my 10 day ticket to an annual pass and if it would affect my already booked fastpasses. I'm guessing the CM was simply confused about the "one park per day" thing with regard to FP+, and instead interpreted it as "one day per park". Those two things sound almost the same but mean something completely different.
 

For those that were invited to test FastPass+ in August, has anyone looked into getting a FastPass for the Be our Guest Restaraunt during lunch?

I read that they were testing this option on a blog that seems totally seperate from FastPass+ for rides, however I wonder...

It's not an option when you look at selections at Magic Kingdom. It only lists rides. I even tried under Dining Resevations while logged on but there is no option to make a reservation during lunch.

On a side note, I found out through the boards that those staying at Pop during Aug were being invited to participate in FastPass+. I went online, ordered our Magic Bands and made our FastPass selections on a Sat. By Wed of that following week, we had our bands. On Thur, I received an letter (via courier) and email from Disney inviting me to partiicipate but I was already set by then. :)

Even though I've never received an email invitation for either, I have both fastpass+ reservations and a BOG lunch reservation. Right now the BOG lunch reservations do not seem to be linked with the fastpass+ reservations on MDE.

Where did you get your reservation number from?
 
People in the previous post were using their DME number as well, it has to be all numbers, no letters.

After I customized my magic bands the status of my bands were listed as "shipping soon." Right underneath this was a 12 or 13 digit confirmation number. This is the number I used to book my BOG reservation.
 
We received our customized MagicBands today and I was also able to make a FastPass+ for BoG w/an arrival time between 1030 - 1045 (followed DisneyLover99's advice from a few posts earlier). It appears that you can modify your selections for the meal after you have made them if you change your mind. I was able to modify my sandwich and got rid of everything but the roast beef and bread. I'm holding on the Disney MagicBand test phone line to see if I need to cancel one of my existing FastPass+ reservations. Of course, I didn't wait nearly this long last night for another question...

We received our customized MagicBands today and I was also able to make a FastPass+ for BoG w/an arrival time between 1030 - 1045 (followed DisneyLover99's advice from a few posts earlier).

Glad I could help! :) You can also go back and make the arrival times later if you wish if you feel that 10:30 is too early for lunch.
 
Thanks. I thought about eating a little later, but we plan to eat an earlier supper to avoid the lines. I'll go back and pay a little closer attention to the choices (was rushing since it was counting down the time till the offer expired). Still on hold waiting to see about having to cancel existing FastPass+ (1.5hrs now, reckon lots of questions from folks since it's a test). Afterwards I'll let y'all know how it worked. Should I start a new thread, or just use this one?

What is your question? Honestly, the people on these boards are more knowledgeable then the tech specialists! :rotfl:
 
Was curious about whether or not I needed to cancel one of my existing FastPass+ selections. I do not. I also moved my arrival time for BoG to 1130. Who knows what answer someone else will get, but again, the CMs are learning since this is one of their first real opportunities to work with the system. I've been through product rollouts in a factory (Industrial Engineer) and there are growing pains.

The following is for folks who are on the fence about participating or opting out. If you want a seamless and magical experience, you should probably opt out. We, who opt in, should expect issues and be happy to have the chance.

When you choose your FP+ options you are limited to 3. We received a bonus FP+ (Haunted Mansion) so we were at 4. BoG made 5 and I wanted to make sure if one went away, I got to choose which one it was.
