Quite a few people who buy into DVC stay in studios, so clearly there is a market. At least with the Fort there is a Murphy bed in the other room, just like a 1 bedroom villa.I feel like a family would outgrow the bedroom situation rather quickly. It's fine when the kids are young and small but does mom and dad want their 12 year olds in the bedroom with them for a week? I wouldn't want to buy a 50 year deed for that. Long and the short of it is the cabins are 100% not my vibe.
To me, it’s not that different from the 1 bedroom set up, especially given the points difference. Put your 12 year old in the Murphy bed and walk quietly to the bathroom, and save a ton of points.
We wouldn’t want to own there for other reasons, but I think the bedroom setup really is overblown. And if you really need the bathroom attached to your room, pay the points for a 1 bedroom.
