I'm back! This time with an update!!!!
Can't believe it can you?!
No joke, I have the next update all ready to go!
I hope I still have some dis friends left to read along! I can't believe it's been 2 months since the last time I posted an update! I'm so sorry! Life got a little crazy and I just haven't had time! But I've really, really missed it and am longing for our December trip! I also have a lot to catch up on on other TR/PTR's! Although, I see a lot of the ones I was following finished in my absence! I will go back and read them though!!!
One thing I have been doing is working on my scrapbooks! So I'll have to come back and show you guys the completely October 2009 book!
Anyway, thanks for following along and thanks for coming back to join me on my little adventure!
On with the TR!
Day 2, Part 2 (I think)
After our panic in losing Justin had calmed down we decided to head toward The Land!
We got FP for Soarin with a return time just about an hour ahead! Woo hoo!!
We decided to head over and ride Living With the Land! We always enjoy this ride. It may not be overly exciting or adventurous but we think its interesting and love looking at all the different plants and things!
After LWTL we had some time to kill and decided to get a snack from Sunshine Seasons! I think the only time Ive ever eaten there was when I was a kid!! I have a vague recollection of seeing Kitchen Cabaret and then eating lunch! I swear to you I had a turkey sandwich on a croissant with a Yoohoo! How I remember that I have no idea but I digress!
Anyway, our snack! I had heard soooo many times about the wonderful strawberry shortcake I really wanted to try it! So we had strawberry shortcake for those interested, chocolate cake for DH and BIL, and chips for both DSs as well as sodas all around! I may have mentioned this before but I mention it again. Do you know how much a tray with 10 drinks weighs?! Holy cow!!!! I should have done weight training before the trip!!!!
We ate our snacks and enjoyed each others company and soon it was time to head to Soarin! DH, with his motion sickness, sat out with DS2.
We went through the queue and just about walked right on. I think we waited 2 minutes right outside the door! It was just long enough for the man behind us to tell the women he was with, who apparently was a newbie, that its really cool when you go upside down and completely freak my sister, Jen, out! LOL!! I promised her that he was kidding and I wouldnt be getting on if it went upside down!!
We were soon in our gliders and off Soarin above California! Ahhhh!!!
We all loved it!
Except for one person.
I learned something new that day!
Jen is scared to death of heights!
I am too but for some reason Soarin doesnt bother me! I guess because I know its just a movie the actual Soarin part doesnt bother me and the fact that Im watching the movie doesnt give me time to think about dangling 30 ft in the air!
Jen was petrified! She spent part of the ride doing the Im about to have an anxiety attack and Im trying to calm myself down breathing that I do and the other part with her eyes closed! She held onto BILs hand so tight that she actually left marks!! Oh my!
Then it was time for us to head over to Nemo!

But first we had to stopped and take a picture or 2 of the little kiddos!
I also noticed this
For the first time! Jack Frost really had done a # on the plants! UGH! Everything was all wilted and icky! I felt bad for the Disney Horticulturalists! They had a lot of work to do!
I didnt really take any pictures inside the Seas for some reason! I think this is my only one!
But no matter what we really enjoyed the ride and looking around inside!
We headed back to the center of Future World and part of the family went off to enjoy Innoventions (the boys) and part of us (the girls) went off in search of a cup of coffee for me and shopping at MouseGear! No coffee was found but we certainly found lots of good stuff at MouseGear!
The girls waited a few minutes outside of MouseGear for the boys to return from Innoventions so of course I took some pictures

Then it was time to discuss our next stop!
We didnt have all that long before we needed to head out to GF for out dinner ADR. BIL and Justin really wanted to go on Mission Space so we checked the giant computer board and the wait wasnt too long so we headed over!
Along the way Johnny found a new mode of transportation that he loved!
Riding on Uncle John became a fabulous way to get around during this trip!
Justin and BIL went on their way and the rest of us discussed what to do. We were going to go on Universe of Energy until we realized how long the actual ride is and factored it that there was a 25 minute wait! Not enough time!
So we waited!
We also found me a cup of coffee! Yippeeee!!!
There was a little cart that had hot drinks and cookies and such! We ordered a latte for me (Yippeee again!) , a few hot chocolates and a couple of cookies!
Im not sure if the girl making the drinks was new but it took her forever! Literally it took more then 10 minutes! UGH!
My coffee was boiling hot! I actually burned my tongue! But once it cooled down it was yummy!
The hot chocolate, not so much! It was gross! It tasted hot water with a tiny bit of Swiss Miss in it! Yuck!

Soon BIL and Justin were back and it was time to head out!
We were off to take the Carrolls on their first monorail ride of the trip!!!

I am back! I don't think I'll ever get her on Soarin again! No way, no how! LOL! I felt bad that she was so scared!
It was bizarre to be so bundled up! Especially after the heat wave we had while we were there in Oct! But, we still had fun!

Sounds like it was a fun time. I'm glad that at least most of you liked Soarin. Sunshine Seasons has the best snacks. I love the Strawberry Shortcake. So yummy!

Everyone except Jen really enjoyed Soarin! I felt really bad for her! Had I known she would react that way I would have told her to skip it!
That Strawberry Shortcake was so yummy! Loved it!

I can't believe I just found your TR! It's always fun to travel in a big group isn't it? yet scary at times (sure glad you found Justin). I got scared at the beginning of your report when you said something about crashin' on the plane 
then I realized you meant getting some sleep! 
What a relief that was I remember when I first came on the Disboards and people were talking about standing "on line" and I thought they literally meant there was a line you stood on - what an idiot I was 
We always say standing in line, like in a line so guess that's a West Coast thing (we are originally from Oregon so am learning all the different ways to say things here on the East Coast). Either way is the right way, is what I say 
Your room looks beautiful - I can't remember if you were in a 2-bedroom villa for 10 of you. We are considering adding a night to our upcoming trip and staying at AKL via renting points. We will be staying at BWV w/boardwalk view renting 2 bedroom villa plus 2 studios and can hardly wait (only 5 nights though so we hope to add a Friday & Saturday night stay at AKL).
You all seem to be getting along wonderfully and you have a beautiful family!

I was really missing your TR. I have only been on the boards sporadically, so I missed your last update. Now I am reading at work, so I will try to go back and catch up on the pictures.
Sorry Jen didn't like soarin....I can't imagine being afraid of that ride, but I guess if you don't know what to expect it might be a little wierd. I guess that was her first and only ride.

There's been so much going on around here and I feel off my early morning Dis ritual! Boo!
Not to mention I've found myself in kind of a funk lately. The kinda funk where you want to take your ball and go home. But, I have no ball and I'm already home! Ya know what I mean?
My Dising isn't the only thing that's suffered from this funk but everything else seems to be back on track and now I'm getting Dis back on track to! I will not let it suffer!!!
I also have lots of planning to do!!! LOTS! ADR day for December is fast approaching (YIKES!) and there maybe more planning to do!!! But that, my friends, is for a different post!

We hopped on the monorail and headed to TTC! We did the quick switch and headed from TTC to GF!

We arrived at GF a bit early for our 1900 Park Fare ADR so we took used the relax in the beautiful lobby of GF!
Ahhhhh! The lobby is just so beautiful and it smells soooo good! Just sitting there felt fabulous!

Then it was time to checkin for 1900 Park Fare! We got our picture taken (Sorry, I havent scanned it) and headed it!
We were seated in the back room which was nice and cozy although we were seated at 2 different tables. One behind the other. With 10 people I knew that there was a possibility that we wouldnt be able to sit at the same table at every meal but it made me wonder about the rest of our meals.
We ordered our drinks and went off to the buffet! We all found some yummy stuff to put in our bellies!
Soon the character started to circulate!
I must tell you that when I planned our ADRs I let my sister know what I was hoping for and then what I got. Jessica had done her own research and gave me a lot of input. But that was it.
They really didnt know what going to happen aside from seeing Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Termaine and the evil Stepsister. They didnt know I was really hoping for some fun!
Our first arrival was Prince Charming who was fabulously regal and taught the boys how to stand like a prince!
Next up was Anastasia who was looking glowing in her pink dress! She teased the boys about being their girlfriends and had a lot of fun with them! LOL! As you can tell by the picture they were to scared of her to get to close!!!!
Next came Cinderella who was looking as beautiful as ever! She though Ryan was the cutest thing ever and gave him lots of attention! My little guy is usually a little ladies man, flirting with everyone from the bank teller to the moms at school, but he wasnt too sure of Cindy! Maybe he was intimidated by he beauty or maybe he just wanted her to get down to business and give him her autograph!
Then it was time for some dancing!!! This was our second dinner at 1900 Park Fare, the first was in October 09. I remembered the dancing but I dont think any of the characters danced in the area we were.
This time we were treated to Drizella dancing with the kids in our room!
She was hysterical! She taught the kids all sorts of funny dances and when the music stopped she spun around really fast and screeched at the top of her lungs!!! I swear it made me momentarily deaf!!!!! Oh my!!!
Shortly after the dancing stopped Lady Tremaine arrived.
She was he harsh, cranky self and warned the kids about behaving and eating their dinner!
As you can see from DDs face she wasnt really sure of Lady Tremaine! LOL!!
Then it was time for Drizella! OMG Drizella was by far the highlight of the evening!
She asked us where we were from and thanked us for coming all the way from NY and CT to see her. She commented on her stepsister, Cinderella, and asked if we thought Cinderella was more beautiful then her. She teased us about the big mouse in clothes and mentioned being scared of a giant rodent! LOL!!
Then it was time to get pictures taken! Justin, my 17 year old nephew, was a little hesitant to get up. Drizella seized the opportunity and went and grabbed him by the arm and insisted he have his picture taken with her! It was absolutely hysterical!
DH was having a good time teasing Justin while he was getting his picture taken. I mentioned to Drizella that I thought he maybe jealous. She huffed and said alright but she was really in it for the one in red and grabbed DH by the arm! She kept telling DH that there was no smiling in this picture and to stop laughing! I cant even tell you how hard we laughed!
It was absolutely incredible!!!!
Then it was time to take our group shot!
Shortly after our visit from Drizella it was time to leave!
We headed for the Monorail and made our way toward MK in hopes of capping the day with Wishes!

Welcome Back !! Trust me I get the whole funk and taking a DIS hiatus thing, done it myself! I'm just glad you are back and are feeling much better!!

Park Fare looks like so much fun! I swear I want to go there just for the stepsisters. They must have so much fun at the meals!

Thanks Jen! I reallllllly need to be back! I think not dising actually made the funk worse! But I learn my lesson! I've been working on updates and plans for a few days. I've also been scanning the boards to get back in the swing of things!
