So sorry it has been awhile for an update. I hoped to have gotten one this past weekend but it was a no go. We went to the pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins, ran errands and I worked on school stuff. When I last left you, we were trying to get everything together so we could head off to MK for Lilian’s first visit.
It was about 2:45 when we made our way to the bus stop, which was very close to our room. All we needed to do is walk downstairs (or use the elevator) and walk to the outer edge of the parking lot. So close! Lilian was so excited to be heading off to Disney finally!! We got to the bus stop and she preoccupied herself by playing with the rocks
This became a trend the whole time we were there.
This particular day she had us chose a rock, which became a fun game for us adults. We could not just say a specific rock or point, we had to challenge her to find the right one we wanted. We waited about twenty minutes for the bus but with Lilian occupying us the time seemed to go quickly.
The MK bus came and off we went. We realized on the bus that this was Lilian’s first bus ride ever, one of the many firsts for her on this trip.
We arrived to MK about 3:20. On the way into gate area, I snapped the picture of the MNSSHP party sign that was already up:
Here were the crowds that had started to gathered at the NOJ entrance:
I noted down that we made our way through the gates at around 3:45, so not too bad but we had a bit of a mix up when we ended up in line behind the NOJ ticket holders, which were waiting for 4:00. After getting into the correct line, we finally got a good view of the train station:
I do not know if you can tell, but the flag was flying at half mass in remembrance for 9-11.
After moving through our first entrance, I asked to stop at the Photopass photographer right outside of the train station. Here is the first photograph we have ever had taken by a photopass photographer:
After we had family shot done, we asked the rest to join us, here is our first group shot:
DMIL and DFIL had a photo taken of just themselves (their first obviously):
I had fun with the borders when I went through our photopass pictures—normally I’m not a big border person but I thought why not try them especially because I got to keep the original intact. Oh and a big tip for those who don’t know: if you want to print out pictures larger than a 4x6, you have to save each picture as either a 5x7 or 8x10 too or they will not print properly!!
I snapped some pictures of the fall decorations on the outside of MK:
After our first photopass pictures, we finally crossed under the station, took a whiff of the popcorn smell (which DH did not believe they pump it in—he thought it was coming from down Main Street
) to finally come up and see the beautiful site known as Main Street and Cinderella’s Castle. Here is our first view of Main Street/Castle this trip and Lilian’s first ever look at Magic Kingdom:
