Aww, I love that fountain! Such a hidden gem! Ooo, I wonder what caught Lillian's eye? Can't wait to find out!

I loved the fountain. I had seen other pictures of it but I do not remember seeing it on our first trip, if we even did. I hope to get the next update soon.

I believe you...I have smelled the popcorn. I just assumed it was a vendor close by. Ya learn something new every day...still.. pumping the smell of popcorn in? LOL!!!

Of course, they are the masters of setting up an atmosphere at Disney.

Great update, but how dare you leave us on a cliff hanger!! I'm pretty sure I know what would have diverted Lilian's attention, but I don't want to spoil it!

The weather looked perfect! I love seeing blue skies at Disney! I also love the fountain! It's the little things that make Disney so special and that is one place we never rush or take shortcuts! We also like the path to TT that goes behind Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway! It's a nice, quiet little walk that not too many people use!

I had tears in my eyes when you described Lillian's first view of the Castle and Main Street...I really love how you took your time and experienced Magic Kingdom for the first time with Lillian! just so magical!!!

I didn't know they pump in that popcorn smell. Really??? I always thought it was from the carts!

I'm so glad you didn't let anyone influence in taking the Train. I love it when we took our son on his first trip and walk down Main street and around the castle...I think we went the same way you did. I'm wondering what your daugther wanted...Was it Tea cup?
I though my son first ride would be Carousel but he pointed to Dumbo and said Dumbo (he just turned 2 and was so long and I asked him how about? He said no mommy...please Dumbo and he was in love with the ride).

Stephanie, I was just going to go do an update on my Trip Report when I saw that you had one up and I HAD to come here first. Your pictures are beautiful (photopass ones too) and I love the picture of Lily in her stroller after seeing the castle for the first time.

Can't wait to hear what deterred her from meeting the princesses first.

The sky was gorgeous most of the week! I loved the dusk part of the day, the light was just gorgeous.

Thank you Connie! It was a very magical moment for me--everything we had been planning for so long really set home at that moment.

Thought I would join your TR. I am really enjoying your pictures. I know all about family drama. to you for taking on a WDW trip with your extended family. We tried a family reunion vacation with my mom's family. We made it to the 'second annual' before we threw in the towel.

I love the little statues infront of the castle! We took a little toy (on the sly) from a friend's son so he could see his toy on vacation at WDW. We took pics with it on all the little statues. He was so surprised!

Our DS will be be going will be seeing the castle for the first time. Thank you for reminding me to watch him when we enter main street (even though I will be fighting back a tear seeing the castle myself...shhhhh dont tell anyone.)

I knew I wanted to have that first experience of Main Street and the Castle, walking up to it--not cutting over to the train. I am not sure if it is even really faster, just something they always do normally. DGM is not a fan of TT, though it has been a very long time since she has a young one to see the reaction to TT.

I am writing the next update--you will have to wait and see where we ended up stopping. I love how even at 2, DS had definite opinions of where to go. We let Lilian guide us most of the time, which was a great way to see what attracted her attention. Of course we offered up suggestions, but did not force her into anything.
