Hasn't anyone else seen the new Lost in Space on Netflix?

I have and I really liked it. The reviews have been mostly positive, but I have to laugh at some of the replies complaining about the new LIS "feminist agenda" I bet they never complained about the sexism if the original series, where Maureen was there only to cook and look worried, and the 11 year-old son (Will) was smarter, more knowledgeable, more capable than both his older sisters and his mother!

Even as a little 6 year-old that aspect of the show made me cringe! I was always embarrassed for Maureen, Judy and Penny.

Now Maureen is what she should have always have been, a brilliant, accomplished scientist with the brain required for such a mission.

I also live that even if Will is a genius, he is still portrayed as a little boy.

Although this show is family oriented, it is much more mature than its predecessor, which was geared for kids.

I also loved that MINOR SPOILER ALERT: I loved that Billy Mummy, the original Will Robinson, had a small role as the real Dr Smith.

What did you think?

I wanted to like it, and I “kind” of like it.

But I hate every character intensely. I spent every episode wanting everyone to die because they are so darn stupid and they need to die from their stupidity.

They dragged through an entire season with the “oh, I can’t tell X *a really important thing*” I thought that was lame even back in the 70s on Three’s Company... why is it still acceptable on a really expensive “premium” show? Stupid, stupid writing shortcut. And it tells you what they think about the intelligence of the viewers they want.

Here's what bothers me about the Netflix reboot, the ROBOT!!! I have always loved the original series and own all 3 season on DVD, but the robot was the most important element of the original show for me. They should have done something to keep the robot somewhat like the one in the original series.

No Netflix so I guess I can't see it. Does it feature chimps with antlers like the original?

I agree that is pretty fantastic, but I take it for what it is, science-fiction. I mean, the original show was so incredibly far-fetched that I doubt anyone watching the reboot was looking for realism.

It's jut a fun, adventurous ride.

I know, the Robot was my favorite character, and I often joke that it was my first crush. I was really disappointed when I saw him. But the show has grown on me, despite that MAJOR flaw
