LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I'm thinking that if the transmission really is "WE ARE THE SURVIVORS..." then perhaps Boone heard survivors from a different section of the plane that is located somewhere else.

When Locke smiles, he does so with his whole face. It makes me smile, too!

Well you noticed in that one episode that Locke was starting to lose the use of his legs again (We still dont know do we how he lost the use of them).
Is the island taking the "gift" back?

Do you mean how he lost them originally? Sure we do, it was from the car accident after he left his father's house upset at finding out that his father used him for the kidney.

I don't recall seeing a car accident. Did I miss something? I thought he said he was paralyzed for 5 years or something, and I was under the impression the kidney thing was longer ago than that???

Some places I've read said that the transmission was "There were no survivors of Oceanic Flight 815!"...a possible clue to the plot.

There was no car accident in that episode. I too thought he had only been paralyzed for 5 years and I agree the kidney thing happened before that. Also, there had to be some serious activity involving walking for at least a few years to take him from Toys R Us-type employee to McGyver, so I think there is no way the paralysis happened right then. That would be really strange writing by a very good team, too, to pile all that on him in the same timespan--way too melodramatic. Finding birth parents, betrayal by birth parents, kidney removed, and then a paralyzing car accident? Unless, of course, he was hanging out with Hurley. Then I guess it's possible. :teeth:

I wish I could remember the episode better (and it was so recent too). I just thought I recalled him driving away upset and something happening. Oh well.

He did drive away upset...but that's all we saw. No accident.

Plus I think he was in the wheelchair 4 years before, not 5. Not that it's any big deal. Just that I seem to recall it was one of those "number 4" things.

If you read a few pages back, you'll see the "controversy" surrounding this particular quote. Seems they "changed" the line.

Like I figured, it was just a recap of everything we've already seen. I fast forwarded through most of it just looking for something new. The narrator didn't provide anything new either.

Locke is my favorite character. I don't care if he is good or evil as long as he remains interesting.

The transmission in the plane with Boone was different than what was originally aired. The first time, I heard "there were no..." and this time, I heard "we are the..."

I think they are screwing with us on the transmission or they changed it after the original airing. I also heard. "There were no" during the original broadcast but heard "we are the" in the promos/special. I keep my captioning on and the reply was not captioned just Boone and the VO. I'm sure it was done on purpose because everything else was captioned. There wasn't even a generic caption letting you know that something came over the radio like there usually is in situations like that.

I don't remember Locke in a car accident. I do remember some speculation that he may have been the driver who hit Michael.

ETA does anyone have the link to the site that is keeping track of the timeline. I know it's somewhere in the last 100+ pages but couldn't find it. thanks.

Any ideas as to who pulls the trigger? I'm going with Shannon
I think Shannon does it, too. On the other hand if they really want to surprise us, I might just go with Sun.

I was watching 20/20 tonight and the previews for next week has the cast of Lost with them giving insight into their characters. Should be interesting.

Did anyone see Sayid in the preview? I did spot Sawyer

Here's a dumb question but I need answers: which characters have real accents and which accents are a good fake(i.e Sawyer,Clarie,Charlie,Sayid and Jin to name some)

I've been watching the series 24 on DVD and in season 2 the actor who plays Jin is on it. He has no accent at all which really surprised me.

Naveen Andrews was born in England (Indian descent), Emilie de Ravin was born in Australia, Josh Holloway was born in California but raised in Georgia, Daniel Dae Kim was born in Korea but raised in America and actually speaks very little Korean at all, Dominic Monaghan was born in Germany and raised in both Germany and England.
