Have you come across posts yet that say the voice on the other end sounds like Boone? I read that on another board and re-watched that part. It does sound like Boone. Coincidence???? This show is just plain freaky (and I love it).

I just took a peek at this last page - I have not seen that post yet. But it is something we were discussing on the other board. That is just weird!

I wonder if the blood on Boone in the dream means he was responsible for causing someones death (making nanny theresa run up and down the stairs). now I'm trying to think if in some way each of them is responsible for a death in some way or another, intentional or not. Jack with an OR patient, Boone with his nanny, Kate has already said she has killed someone, Sawyer killed the guy he thought was Sawyer. Hurly's bad luck led to the death of his grandfather (or was it uncle? can't remember) among other bad things. I'm wondering if this all ties them to the island? or am I just thinking too much here?

Did you all notice the religious symbolism in the show last night? How about when, in Locke's dream, Boone was standing on the hatch in the classic crucifiction pose? Can you say sacracficial lamb? I am trying to find out what those symbols on Boone's shirt meant, they only appeared in the dream sequence so they must mean something.

I was so sad for Locke, talk about betrayal....all that was missing was the kiss on the cheek.

I must have missed what was on the shirt. Does anyone have the ability to get a screen cap of that?

Did anyone else think that the plane they found resembled the little plane that Kate took from the lock box at the bank? Especially the odd color

VERY interesting. What could the connection be? Is that how she killed him? Is there more to her as well?

Jin beat the guy up to save his life. He knew the other man was sent to kill this guy.

Wasn't that when he just started working for her father? Maybe he eventually started killing people.

Everyone's speculating that maybe Boone won't die after all, that it will be someone else. I posted this on the other thread...do you think Walt might find the heroine and it will kill him?

Here's a better picture. He's wearing the shirt the whole time, though, not just in the dream sequence. The first picture I posted is from before the dream sequence. The second picture is during the dream.

I'm pretty sure Locke lied to protect the hatch. He doesn't want anyone else to know about it (but why not?). So that really isn't his first deception.

Am I the only one who is extremely curious how someone who worked in a departement store and later for a box company has so much knowledge about so many things? Locke knew what kind of money the "priest" was carrying, he knows all about plants, hunting, direction, building cradles to large contraptions, you name it, Locke knows about it.

Maybe he read a lot when he was first in his chair? Nah, I don't think that is it. I think there is much, much more to Locke.

OMG! All this speculation is giving me such a headache. I love some of these thoughts and ideas. I think the fact that most of them are responsible for a death is a very interesing theory. So do we get answers when the hatch opens or will this only make more questions? All I can say is that I do hope at some point everything falls into place and we do get answers.
Was Locke's mother's name Emily? Does that sound right?

Emily does sound right to me. But then my mind is a bit messed up when it comes to remembering things.

I'm sure when the hatch opens we will be left with many more questions. I think it will be a long time before we get answers. They have to keep us hooked.

This is my first time jumping into this conversation. I LOVE this show, and can't wait to see where it leads.

Excuse me if this has been brought up before, but I just couldn't read 100 pages... Last night's episode made me think of how so many of the castaways have issues with their father. I wonder if this is coincidence or if there is a theme we are supposed to be getting. here are a few I have noticed (won't claim 100% accuracy on details)

Locke - the whole Dad/kidney thing

Jack -turning his Dad in for malpractice; flying home with body when plane crashed

Sawyer -Dad and mother died in murder suicide (I think)

Boone/ sister - Dad abandoned them (?)

Charlie - I seem to recall a reference to his Dad being a ne'er-do-well

Jin's wife (arrrgh can't remember name) - her Dad is a crime lord with heavy influnce in her and Jin's life

Walt - working out things with his Dad while on the island

Does this ound about right? Are there other father issues being dealt with? I am not sure where this might lead, but just a pattern I noticed.

Nothing seems to be too far fetched for this show!

Does anyone else think that the Lost writers feed off all the message boards and make up episodes surrounding what the viewers have to say ?? It just seems that way to me ! we get more questions off of what we speculate about> I just love this show !! Oh and I totally agree about Sawyer still looking hot with the glasses !!!

Wouldn't that be a real shock to us all?

did anybody else notice what Sawyer was reading this week? It was "A Wrinkle in Time" I thought it kind of paralleled the story, kids going off searching for thier missing father with all sorts of paranormal stuff happening.

And I took the plane falling in a completely different way- I felt like the island made the plane crash because Boone WAS contacting someone and the island clearly doesn't want them rescued.

this show is REALLY starting to wierd me out.

I LOVE this show. I read this thread every day (heck, several times a day). the theories are great. I have no clue what to think or expect, but sure love it!
I can't wait till it comes out on DVD.

I re-watched the episode after I posted this and I think Locke was crying over Boone. He does say "I've done everything you wanted me to so why did you do this, why?" So I do think he was upset about Boone. I don't really think he knew Boone would be killed (if it's him). Maybe he now knows that Boone will die (if it's him-LOL).

I think he was crying over Boone too. I thought at that point he already knew Boone was dead - if he is the one to die.

I think he had been working for him for a while and that was when things started to get bad. He was sent to "give him a message" before and apparently didn't quite get the idea of what he was supposed to do.

To the person who posted the link to my post about the DVD coming out, THANK YOU. It is so far away though. For those of you who did not see it is on the Best Buy web site and says that it will come out in September.

And I talked to my DS today and I am going to see her on Saturday so I won't have to wait that long to see the show. I need to start recording it so I can go back and double check things and also if I fall asleep I won't miss it.
