Oh man. This got brutally honest. I wonder if he’s reading it. Pretty sure he commented he felt a sense of camaraderie here.

I tuned out on his posts a while ago, though (I don’t utilize the ignore button as much as I just keep scrolling). He was obnoxious.

Ehh, there's plenty of posts on the Funny Memes thread that are more suggestive than that. The phrasing as used - in that one post - is a pretty standard and tropey sitcom-style joke. Now, other comments of his, yeah, maybe. I'm just surprised that it is this one that is being singled out.

I agree. I know I am not going to like or agree with everyone on these boards. And that’s okay. Just because I don’t agree with someone or like what they are posting, it doesn’t automatically make them a bad person and it doesn’t make me a bad person either. It simply means we aren’t compatible.

It is human nature to be curious when someone you have been interacting with in an online forum goes offline. But unless that person chooses to come back and share, I just have to let it go and wish them well. I don’t know what any of my fellow posters are dealing with at any given time, and if they want a time out I am not going to bother them.

I didn’t follow Lord Manhammer although I did see posts here and there, some I agreed with and some I didn’t. I have no idea why they stopped posting, but I do hope they are okay.

Nobody said I hadn't been a prior Diser. People make a lot of assumptions as to why's and what's. I haven't even tried to hide who I might have been in the past. You can't change a user name and be active so you have to start from scratch which I had to do for serious personal reasons.

Not related to this thread, but if you needed to change your user name on the Disboards for "serious personal reasons" then perhaps reconsider making it obvious who you used to be. It is very strange to me that the Disboards allows people to just jump from screen name to screen name, especially when they make it clear that that's what they are doing. How does someone not get points for that?

Out of curiosity, was it a safety related thing? Obviously you don't have to answer if you are not comfortable, but there was another DIS member who mentioned a safety issue related to another member a while back.

It was back some years ago, but someone in the TR section of the DIS mentioned that a woman stalked them (or something?) when they posted their trip plans. Not sure if the same thing happened to this poster? You never know who is out there, I guess.
