Lord Manhammer....where have you gone??

Ok, I missed this thread, and I cannot find it. What was said?

Yes, I am being gossipy and nosey. Inquiring minds want to know! ;)
He said he loves it when she talks dirty to him.

Which, granted - that poster could be a troll and not a teenage girl. But, when a teenagers photo is the profile, her profile says 16, it's probably best to err on the side of caution and assume the poster is a minor.

Especially since he claims to be a professor, he should know not to cross certain boundaries with younger kids even if you are on an anonymous (for the most part) internet forum.

One time he PMed me asking why I hated him, which made me so confused because not once did I say I hated anyone that posted here.
This thread reminds me of Mean Girls...."Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by Lord_Manhammer" lol. We all collectively raise our hands, even though many of us have had very limited interaction lol

Edited: this was meant to be taken as a joke...I do not agree with what Lord_Manhammer has said, particularly inappropriate comments, but he is not like Regina George. Sorry if I offended.

You're actually taking CW4D seriously? :rotfl2:

It's like all those you tube videos of illegal fireworks.
Where did you get that? I want one.
Somewhere in the midwest.
What store.
Oh THE store.
Oh come on what store and where.
He already told you.
No he didn't....

BTW I have my serious side too. It's my left side.

I have no idea what is going on.
Just the usual.

You know, I don't know the guy and he could definitely be a bit unfiltered, but this quote in question is really a tempest in a teapot. If you look at the title of that thread, the OP is really selling the sandwich with descriptors intended to make it sound good. Picture an Arby's commercial for example. I think it's pretty clear how that can sound a little suggestive. It was very clearly intended to be a joke, the actual identity of the OP of that thread not withstanding. It's not too different from someone using "talking dirty" to describe talking math with mathmeticians or something. It wasn't a serious suggestion. Just hear it in Homer Simpson's voice and you'll be okay.

So, what was the verdict here? He's just at WDW? I don't check the boards too much when I'm there either.

I disagree, and it wasn't just that one it was other similar comments in other threads. But, if you wouldn't say, "Talk dirty to me" to a teenage girl IRL as a 50+ year old man, it probably is not wise to say it on an internet forum when you cannot for certain know you are talking to an adult. Maybe he would say it IRL, who knows?

Heck, I wouldn't want someone making suggestive comments as a 30-year-old woman on an internet forum that is mostly Disney-related. :confused3 If I wanted that, I would go elsewhere.

It's just a culmination of other comments that are sexually suggestive that give the ick factor, like someone else said. Like the eating in bed one, that was eye-roll worthy.

Brian, regardless the setup (I'm not familiar with the thread) that kind of response from what apparently is/was a grown man, is totally not acceptable on these boards. Not even in the controversial sub board. JMO

Ah okay found it. Thank you.

OP of that thread is a troll so I never open their threads. (are they a teenage girl?)
I have no idea if she's a teenage girl. Her posts are always strange. I see the post, and his comment, but is that enough to get him banned from the DIS? I guess it depends on what context people are taking it as. I always enjoyed his posts, but maybe I've missed some that had suggestive comments in them.

Agreed. If he got the 86, fine with me.

I wasn't even mad, just confused.

Maybe it was promoted by me saying I wasn't a huge fan of smoking?

He was/is the only poster I've ever put on ignore here (like a month or two ago)...he just started edging further and further into, as others put it, "ick" and a Disney board, which is all ages and intended to be acceptable to all, was not the place for it. Maybe it wasn't just the comments, but the comments plus the accumulation of how many lifelong posters were using that ignore button in the very recent months as well...

Ehh, there's plenty of posts on the Funny Memes thread that are more suggestive than that. The phrasing as used - in that one post - is a pretty standard and tropey sitcom-style joke. Now, other comments of his, yeah, maybe. I'm just surprised that it is this one that is being singled out.
