Looking for hidden Mickeys in Ocean City NJ!!

You guys are really making me miss OCNJ. Now I Have to make a quick trip there next month.

Kohrs, Johnson's, Mack and Manco...yum!!!!

DH HAS to get his chocolate covered macaroons from George's and his Polish water ice.

And yes.... love Old Salt. It's my favorite shop.

I just love getting up early and walking the boards, watching the sunrise....aaahh. Gotta go now...and check hotel availability.

Love OCNJ - it's where I went to vacation every year and now my parent's have a house. Before they bought a house, we used to stay at the Tahiti!

We stayed at the Biscayne Suites at 8th and Ocean. It was a great location and the accomodations were spacious. I agree with the other posters: Mack and Mancos and Kohr's Ice Cream are an absolute must! It was raining when we arrived Sunday so we got Mack and Mancos delivery! Monday turned out to be a great beach day and we enjoyed a nice surrey ride Tuesday morning. Had dinner at the Chatterbox Monday night and enjoyed several visits to Wonderland. We came home with Johnson's caramel popcorn, Fudge from Fudge Kitchen and three new hermit crabs. All in all a great beach trip! :thumbsup2

My daughter continued to find hidden Mickeys in the carpet throughout our stay! When I played along and pretended to see one too she said "Good thinking Mom, but that is just a leaf!" Looking forward to searching the carpets at BCV again soon! :goodvibes

Leaving Thursday for the Beach Club. Daughter really wants to stay at the Flanders sometimes, anyone tried it since it's been remodeled?

We rented a house and had a fabulous time in OCNJ last month. Looking to do a motel/hotel next summer...can anyone recommend one for a family of 5? We did pass the Beach Club (so ironic as we will be checking into Disney's Beach Club a month after OC) and loved the idea of being able to relax by the pool while having a view of the boardwalk/ocean.
What about the Watson? Any recommendations will be appreciated, thanks!

Also, don't forget to check out Johnny B Goode Ice Cream Shop...they have nightly entertainment for the kids!

We usually stay at Watson's Regency. The nice thing about Wastson's is that it has an indoor pool and hot tub. If the weather is bad, swimming is still an option.

The suites at Watson's are all configured the same way. They are owned by individuals, so each suite is decorated as its owner chose.

It's nice to have a (small) kitchen to prepare lunch or eat takeout.

We used to stay at Biscayne Suites, but the last time we stayed there (2005 or so) we were given a room that smelled like cat urine and was poorly maintained. They immediately moved us, but that kind of soured us as we never thought the rooms were that great. They recently remodeled the building's exterior; I'm not sure about the rooms.

The Beach Club is nice, but it's one of the most expensive rooms in OCNJ. There are very few boardwalk motels, with the Port-o-Call being another (expensive) option.
