HI-- I was wondering if any of you knew of a website with games or flashcards for our DD7 (first grade) to practice adding and subtracting up to 12?

thanks so much-
jen

I would recommend buying a pack of index cards and making your own. You can customize them, even color code them if you want. It doesn't take long to make them. Some of my favorite memories of my mother are after taking a bath, she would let me sit by the heat for 1/2 hour while we worked on the flash cards, or she would read a book then we would do the flash cards. I must admit, I can do math in my head faster than most people, so it does work. Have fun.

They used to have arcade type games to teach the facts. The kids loved them. They were made for Apple. I don't know what they have now, but I'd guess that they have them somewhere.

Here's a funny from my 1st grader. He told his teacher that we weren't using flash cards at home. I was shocked and told him that yes we were using FLASH cards. He said, "Mom, your cards don't blink!"
