Hi all

Sorry not been around and haven't really read back i have had Chloe at home poorly, many horrid bugs going around school, thankfully she seems on the mend so back to school with her so i can go finish my christmas shopping off tomorrow!

Hey Tammie i hope your dad is doing better and he is in my thoughts and prayers

Hello to everyone else .. Take care and wrap up in the warm

i love southwest...they have airfare to orlando for $192 in May plus the $61/day...hmmm a trip to WDW again??? i'm going to beg

Good Monday morning all!

Got up yesterday at 8 and hopped on the computer to make a movie of our Disney trip in May - Christmas gift for Jeff's parents. I downloaded "muveeproducer" and it came out great! I had that on my old desktop and it was great. The only thing is you can't cut the music, so once you choose music you have to add or delete photos to fit. It's a pain, but I like the final result.

Long story short, I finished at 5:30 last night - and only took a couple of 15 minute breaks. I had no idea it was taking that long until I looked at the clock at 3!!!! I downloaded "When you wish upon a star" and used that for MK, the Epcot medley for Epcot, "You've got a friend in me" and "A whole new world" for all the photos with characters, the monorail loop for, well, photos taken of and on the monorail, Louis Armstrong's "bibbidy bobbidy boo" for Ally's visit to BBB, "I just can't wait to be king" for AK, and "Be our guest" for resort, DHS, and dining pics. Then Louis Armstrong's "When you wish upon a star" for the ending, all Specto and Wishes pics. It's 25 minutes long and came out great!

Of course what do you think got done around the house while I was doing that? You got it! NOTHING!!! Then I felt horrible for not spending time with Ally yesterday. It's tough having an only child sometimes. I feel bad not doing things with her - Jeff agreed he messed up not going for a bike ride with her while I was working. It was beautiful yesterday.

Then on Saturday Ally and I made cookies for about 4 hours! That was our mother/daughter bonding time this weekend. And I still have more to make!

Tammie - glad your dad's surgery went well, please keep us posted on his progress.

Renee - Another sinus infection??? :scared1: I really hope they can get that figured out!

Well, time to get back to work - I worked until 7pm on Friday night, it's been unbelievably busy at work. I stress out so bad! But my boss knows how bad it is and he knows how late I work. So hopefully he will "take care of me." ;) I keep teasing him about it. But he knows I'm serious. If I weren't 7 hrs away from him I'd march into his office and plead my case. He wants me to drive up (Chattanooga, TN) in January so we can go to dinner and talke about a raise. I need it. Bad. This year has sucked at work.

He invited Jeff and I to the Christmas party in Nashville - but it was too hard for us to make the trip. First we'd have to go to SC to drop Ally off at the inlaws on Friday. Then on Saturday drive the 5 hrs to Nashville. Then Sunday morning leave early and drive 5 hrs to SC, get Ally, and drive another 7 hrs back home. That's a 12 hr drive!!!! Not worth it - even though I'd be right by Renee!!!!

Renee, if I do make the trip to Chattanooga this winter, I'll call you and maybe we can meet up somewhere between there and Nashville!!!!

Good Monday Morning girls.

Looks like we may have found a buyer for our house. We'll see I don't think they look to promising. If so we would be out right after the new year which means I need to find an apartment right away, we are going to wait to buy a house. We are still flip floping between NH and Florida. I think I am leaning toward NH I still want to be close to my parents also this will allow us to stock pile some money away and buy something with an in law apartment.

Tammie- Hoping all is going well

Kara- Nothing gets done in my house yesterday I did online shopping yesterday and only have 3 people left to shop for. Mike was so busy watching TV he ignored Luca I told him to keep it up and he could finish the shopping. Why is it the presents always fall on the women? We are going to have a talk tonight to decide where we want to be if we are moving to Florida I will give you a call I am going to need a buddy.

Laura- I would be planning that trip. Deposit would be down and everything. I usually put together a budget for mike and then he has the details I also put where I plan on eating etc... I asked to go for my birthday this year and he said he would work on it I think it would be a quick 3 day trip I may try for his birthday (sept. 1st) we will have annual passes so I want to use them.

Good morning!

Kara, your movie sounds wonderful. I don't know if I could figure out how to do that. I get pretty frustrated by tech stuff.

Laura, did you book? I saw the deals right after I booked at Buena Vista. I have always wanted to stay at CBR, but I think I'll stay where we are. It would not be $61 - it would be $124 for a 2 dbl studio, where I'm getting a King jacuzzi suite with free breakfast for $121. They have a shuttle too if we change our mind about renting a car. Those SW fares are great! I still haven't found a good one from Portland, where we'll be leaving from.

Erin, I'm sorry Chloe is sick. Those kiddos can really spread stuff at school! I hope she feels better soon.

Renee - how are you doing?

Cammie, I'm lovin' your TR!:thumbsup2

My dad was a little better yesterday - sitting up and talking and eating. He may go home on Tues. They are making him wear an eye patch to try to cut down on the dizziness - he can only see out of half his right eye, and they think that makes him dizzy. My two sisters and my brother came yesterday - my brother brought my two nephews. My dad was quite emotional when everyone got there, and then after about 2 hrs he was really tired, so we all came over here for lasagna that my aunt had left in my frig. It was a nice family time, just not for a good reason.

Thanks everyone for your prayers! :grouphug:

Jillian! We were both writing at the same time. :goodvibes I hope you found a buyer. Can Mike just choose where he wants to live? Of course I would vote for FL - who doesn't want all that sunshine? :confused3

For shopping, I just have our dads and my girls. I think I'll give them each a GC for a scrapbook store - they both have cricuits now - and of course some Arbonne.

Well...I had a scare last night. I was in the ER with Elizabeth. She told us her heart hurt so we went there just to be safe. To make a long story short they didn't find anything wrong which I was obviously happy about. This was about the 3rd time she has said this to us. Now in hinesite I am hoping it was something silly like gas or from coughing or something minor. We will follow up with a pediatric cardiologist just to be safe. They did hear a little murmur and Mark does have the AFIB thing going on so better to be safe then sorry, right.

Tammie...I am glad your dad is doing better.
Erin...I hope you guys are on the mend on your end.
Jillian...good luck with the house and the decision making.
Kara...the video sounds GREAT!
Everyone else I will catch up tonight hopefully!

HOly cow, Debbie! How scary! My sister always says (and I'm sure the medic in Jillian will agree?) that you should always listen to kids if they mention their chest hurting. It happens..... HOpefully it won't be anything major, but good for you for getting her checked out!

Tammie - glad your dad is doing better!

Jillian - yea on the house! Florida? Honestly, if I could move anywhere in the country, I'd go back to SC in a heartbeat! I miss everything about Spartanburg, SC. Loved it! Florida would not be high on my list..... That's just me though.

After chasing lizards and frogs out of the house. The plate sized spiders, tree frogs attached to the windows at night, armadillos digging up my yard, black widows and brown recluse spiders everywhere, and stepping on a snake in my backyard???? No thank you.

Now, on the bright side, it's going to be 70 degrees today......

OK, gotta get back to work. I'll be glad when we slow down - I still need to update my TR - it's been over a week!

Debbie - Hope everything is ok with Elizabeth. I agree - I wouldn't take chest pain lightly either!

Tammie - Glad to hear your dad is feeling better. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Tues! And thanks for checking out my TR!

Jillian - Good luck with the house sale! NH or Florida? Man, those are two extreme locations. As much as I would LOVE to be closer to WDW, I still think I'd miss my change of seasons.

Erin & Renee - Hope everyone is feeling better in your houses. This is not a fun time to be sick!

As for my foot - it feels a little better; but I really think the left ankle looks a little swollen. It doesn't hurt when I touch it though; just when I walk. I'm dying though because I haven't worked out in a week because I want to rest it and I can just feel the pounds piling onto my thighs, butt, and gut!:scared:

I still have so much to do. I'm just about done with the girls Christmas gifts - they're easy! Now I need to get the nieces and nephews. I still got a butt-load of baking to do! I usually make about 6-8 different types of cookies and give them out as gifts to the various nurses, therapists, teachers, and etc. who help with Amanda. I just can't afford to do gifts for all of those people this year. Hope they appreciate my "homey" touch.

Ok - I've got meatballs to make to put in my sauce for dinner. Later!

okay no trip for me :( I just got laid off. I guess it is a good thing because with Tim's new job he will be doing LOTS of travel in Jan. I do get a small severance pacakgae. I'm done tonight. Needless to say I am bummed out. Oh well it will be for the best.

Debbie good call on taking her in. It never hurts to be too safe-okay it hurts the checkbook but I wouldn't chance a heart thing.

Tammie-Glad to hear Dad is doing better.

I am being told I need to be done...tim's home ;)

Laura - So sorry about your job!

It really stinks to have to happen at this time of year also! Hopefully, this will turn into a positive for you and your family!

Laura - I'm so sorry to hear about the layoff. But I firmly believe that things happen for a reason. You weren't really happy there, you mentioned Tim travelling a lot in January, and more time to enjoy the family over Christmas. Maybe this is the "push" you needed to get out of that job. I hope things all work out for you and your family! :goodvibes

OK, gals, I need advice big time.

Let's start with Ally having an upset tummy all weekend. Then last night we went to eat and she kept putting her head on the table, complaining that her tummy hurt, spending forever in the bathroom, etc.

Yesterday after school she came into my office and gave me a blank sheet of paper and asked me to sign it. Uh, no. I played that game when I was young, so I refused.

Then this mornning she brings me a scrap of paper on which she's written "I got a zero on my science test" and asked me to sign it. So I questioned her about it, still refused to sign this scrap of paper, and she basically told me she got a zero for cheating.

We questioned her more, and found out that her teacher took the test away from her last Thursday and gave her a zero for cheating. So I just emailed her teacher, then called her to find out what's going on. I think I'm going to schedule a conference though - something's going on with Ally. She doesn't talk about any of the kids in her class this year, like she just doesn't have any friends. I don't know what's going on.

And the fact that she's known since last week, and tried to get me to sign a blank piece of paper and then she was going to write her note on it!!! What a sneak! I just don't know how to punish this one. Jeff and I told her no Disney this weekend. So basically no Disney this Christmas season. We weren't going anyway, but she doesn't know that. And all week I'm thinking of sending her to the guest room to do her homework and read and study. No TV, no toys. We are in uncharted territory here. This parenting stuff is tough!

Hi Girls!!!
Laura...I agree with Kara completely. It will ALL work out!!!!!
Sorry Kara for what you are going thru. Definitely talk to the teacher and good luck with it all. I think telling her she isn't going to WDW because of this was VERY smart!
Cammie...sorry I missed your injury report! I hope it heals fast but you know how it is with ankles. It takes forever!

I will be back girls. Between here and facebook I need to back away from the computer. So many people to talk to and I have SO much to do! On facebook we actually have a news guy Mark Suppelsa who has a facebook page and he actually talks to us! It is crazy fun. During commercials during the news he talks to us on his wall too. He has actually addressed me personally. It cracks me up!

Wow Kara that is a difficult one. I think taking Disney away was the right thing. As for me I would take away the TV and Video games. Also maybe she needs to write an Paragraph for you on why cheating is not a good idea? She may be stressed about moving and friends it's hard no matter how old you are.

Debbie- Mike has been taking the Laptop to work so that is helping me stay off the computer. With this weather it has been to cold outside to even think.

Cammie- Hope that ankle is better I broke mine 10 years ago and it still bothers me in this weather. By the way it is freakin freezing!

Tammie- Hope your dad is doing better. Please let me know if you need anything.

Ok girls I need some help. One of my dear friends is going thru Chemo right now. I am having a really hard time just calling her. What is wrong with me? I love her she is such a good friend, but I just can't see her. I should have prefaced this by saying in my teen years my grandmother and grandfather died of Lung cancer and they lived with us I took care of them both while my parents were working to afford their medicines. Any ideas???

Yeah, they had a lot of fun. I told them last year we'd go see it when it came out so they were excited to go with a bunch of friends. They were all decked out in HSM attire, mu girls had earrings, hairbows, neclaces, bracelets, shirts, coats, jeans and socks. They even wore their HSM perfume, not that anyone would notice!
:woohoo:

OMG They just arrested our Governor! How embarrassing!

Hi everyone!

Laura, I'm sorry about the lay off. There are alot of those right now. I know things will work out for you. Maybe it is time to work for yourself?

Debbie! :scared1: I'm glad Elizabeth is okay - and definately get that checked out! And I have learned from my dad's incident, that be sure Mark really watches his heart rate - if it goes too low, that's when clots can form.

Cammie - I'm glad your foot feels better - wierd thing, huh? You can send some cookies my way - I haven't had time to bake yet! :rotfl2:

Kara - I'm sorry miss Ally is having troubles. I think you really did the right thing to make the consequences for her cheating big. As for her stomach aches, it is a good idea to find out if there is anything going on at school, and then keep an eye on her - if she gets a fever or anything, take her in. I had a little friend when I was little who kept having stomach aches, so his mom didn't listen to him and he got a burst appendix and died! I don't mean to scare you, but sometimes it will act up for awhile before actually becoming abscessed.

Jillian, thanks for your kind words. I think my dad may go home tonight! He was doing really well last night!

I'm so sorry about your friend. I totally understand. I have a hard time with things like that. I just don't want to face it, so I feel like if I put it off it isn't happening. You went through so much with your grandparents, it is probably doubly painful. But, you don't want to have any regrets, you really need to be a good friend to her right now, and make the time count!

Okay everyone, this week needs to look up now! This time of year is really hard sometimes, isn't it?
