Karajeboo - my kids have that 'dress as a literary person' thing at school and I have no idea who they should dress up as. They want to wear their costumes - Belle and Giselle, but I'm trying to make them understand that's not really a literary person. Oh and hello they tell us this on Monday with a phone call last night - mom and dad whip up those costumes for Friday. Give me a break!!! How about a few more weeks of a notice people!!
ITA!!! At least Ally's is just a "character" so she can wear her Halloween costume - Belle - and get away with it.
I have to just tell you quick, about the songs (and different words). This morning I was trying to get DD9 moving (tired from the movie) and I was trying to get her into the shower. I started singing
"Take My Hand, I'll Take The Lead, I'll Get You In The Shower, To Get Clean..."
She thought it was funny, she's 9 and not into the "you're embarassing me" stage her sister is and was at this age (thank goodness!!!)
Just had to share...it was funny!
Very cute! And I loved that song and dance number!
Tinalala -We have dress up days once a year - last one was a literary theme - Alice in Wonderland is a good one, do you have the "Hungry Caterpillar" - head to toe green! Harry Potter, Narnia, Golden Compass etc all provide a few "different" ones. Mine went as the 2 girls from The Lion the witch and the wardrobe in their grandma's long fake fur coats!
We have a dress up based on "celebrity" next month.... a known person, present or historical, or a recognisable film or book or comic book or TV character. Makes it easier with so much choice - but mine want to be Hermione from Harry Potter and Kim Possible!!! At least they are easy outfits!

Oh, get this, over here Harry Potter is banned in a lot of schools. Can you believe it??? it's not like 5 year olds are watching and reading these books and movies. It's tweens and they know the difference at that age, I would think. Again, it's this polical correctness that drives me nuts!!! Some of these leaders take what was written innocently and turn it into something evil. I just don't get it.

I got some great pictures but, holy cow, I couldn't help but be a little freaked out!
We still do have alot of leaves on the trees but with the way the wind is blowing today, not sure how many will be left. Yes, it's freezing here but thankfully, no snow. And they are calling for it to be 60 degrees on Halloween!

GEts me every time.
I would love to see London - and that you get to do it over the weekend... well....
