Thanks a bazillion for the water. :lovestruc

Also, what is up with the weather down there? I noticed like 50% chance one day (Nicolas' birthday no less) and I thought about watching the weather, but then I thought I would just ask Ms. Weather Expert! :goodvibes

Never watch the weather! It means nothing until you are actually there!

nerd queen talking. ;) you can replace your theromsat very easily. There is one or two wires running from your heating and air conditioning units and then the power supply. You will want to turn off your electricity to that part of the house that controls the thermosat. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to connect the new wires. The toughest part will be the actaul mounting of the unit. Check out WWW.DIYNET.COM they should have a good instructional video.

I'm paranoid over the flu thing. Beth will not keep her hands out of her mouth-between thumb sucking and constant filddling. Her fingers are always near her mouth.I'm sure we will get some part of it. I will just know to keep her home if it gets bad.

The trip is so close. I can remember that excitement. Now with my crazies um not looking forward to going in 2 yes. I know blaspfamy. I think we will most like stay off property at my girlfriends 4 bedroom condo. It will really bum me out but with the horrible sleeping patterns these two have it might be my only hope. I'm really down on that right now. I want beth's intensity to get rained in but it is a never ending cycle with her and me now. There more intense she gets the more upset I get. I need to get away.

Have a great time!! I wants lots of pics!!!!

Tessa, that is so wonderful! Congratulations! Stick with it. My first 4 weeks on plan, I always lost about the same as week one - then like week 5-8 it was 5 one week, 2.5 the next - which sounds small, but when you start doing the math, 5+5+5+5+5+2.5.... it adds up quickly, or should I say subtracts quickly! GOOD GOING! :cheer2:

WOW - I wish I had your metabolism, genes, WILLPOWER, whatever, I always find (note the ALWAYS..... how many times have i been here.....) that I lose big week 1 - then 2 pounds week 2/3/4 then 1/1.5/2 till 20 pounds then 1 up and 2 down like a yoyo for the next 20..... generally the right direction overall, but no where near week one... then after the 40 I usually give up, eat more and end up back where I am.... then start all over again..

Anyhow, that's all the negative stuff out of my system, it will not happen this time!! - I made a batch of veggie soup for lunch today which smells sooooooo good... for NO WW points, so can fill up nicely. I love the springtime over here with all the lovely fresh spring veggies, really puts me in the diet mood.

And, this will probably sound CRAZY - but getting guinea pigs has helped - I have to prepare fresh veggies for them every day - so I do them for me at the same time. Should we market it girls?? The Guinea pig diet.....

Debbie - by the way - I make Mickey nuggets at home!! They obviously stole my idea!! Flatten a chicken breast use a small mickey cookie cutter to cut the shape, dip in flour (I mix black pepper or paprika in for some flavour) then egg then fresh breadcrumbs mixed with crushed salted potato chips, bake for 20 min in oven - YUMMY!!
I do joke fish fingers for the kids too -same as above, but use flat fish fillet with a mickey hand cutter... leftovers make yummy fish pie!

All I seem to think about is food this week -:confused3

Tessa

Oh, Tessa - the guinea pig diet!!! :rotfl2: Love it!

OK, so in all seriousness, we're going to talk about Disney tonight. Depending what I hear today on the news, we may seriously cancel this weekend. I know, I know! But I'm going to take this seriously. Even Jeff, Mr. It Can't Happen to Me, is a little apprehensive right now. There is just no reason for us to chance this swine flu, since we live so close and can go whenever. Yes, we want to go, yes, we will probably still go, but not committing until after today.

And they are getting very serious about Jeff transferring, even talking about how to handle our house here. The ONLY way we could do it is they buy the house outright, pay all closing costs, AND compensate us 100% for the addition in back. Financially it is a smart move to make. Jeff would make more, and our house would cost less. But sometimes its not all about money. We like it here. We've become Floridians - who'd have thunk it???

wow! I can't imagine you not going to disney to see BSIL. BTW have they even heard of the flu? or is that too much planning. I totally understand. As long as you aren't kissing every water fountain or stranger you see you should be fine and just wash your hands. Tim is paranoid about going on a plane on SUnday too. I am very torn. It's not me so it is easy to push out advice.

WOW!! they are going to still consider moving him to SC despite those costs! They love Jeff. I meant to ask, if you go back will it be to the same location that you left? and will Ally be back with her really good friends? My heart goes out to you. It seems ever other year there is an opportunity to move to Chicago for us. I love you Debbie, but it would be a hard move because we are so attached to the family here. i do feel for you.

Lorrie-- did you find shorts for Carlos at Kohls? Just keep the kids covered in anti-bacterial and you will be fine.

Good job debbie for attacking one pile a day. You will be surprised how fast it will go away.

Tammy- hop e all is good since Jim is gone.

Cammie- has everyone recovered from your rounds of illness?

JIllian- are the inlaws still here?

Tessa- I'm heading back to weight watchers tonight. Free registration. I need a plan to get me moving.

Hi to everyone else!!!

Good Morning All! I don't have time to give individual responses right now, but I wanted to fly by and say hi! Hope everyone has a good day, and stay healthy!

I have the kids today, along with invitations to send out for my Image
Workshop, orders and emails to do, things to print for my makeup party tonight, clothes to iron yikes! I spent 3 hrs last night re-vamping my makeup stuff to fit a new system we are doing, and rearranging some stuff in my office. Most of it looking for things I had missplaced.:sad2:

Oh well, we are meeting at a Mexican Rest, so maybe I'll reward myself with a Maragarita after - oh, who am I kidding - I won't have a DD so I'll have to stick to Iced Tea.

Have a great day everyone!

Kara - Truth be told, if I was in your position (and I WILL be in 17 days!:cool1:) I'd still be going. Don't play into the hysteria. You know how the media is - they focus in on something, exxaggerate it, and beat it to death. Not to say it isn't something to be concerned about, but truth be told, poor hygiene habits can leave anyone vulnerable to picking up anything at any time. I've always been a believer is just living your life - wisely and carefully. Like Laura said, I'm sure if you just take extra precautions in cleaning, I'm sure you'll be fine!:)

Well, it's back down to 60 degrees today. Much more comfortable. Never did turn the AC on yesterday. It was really just me home for the afternoon - Amanda didn't get home until 4, and Lauren had play practice until 7. I had all the windows open and there really was a nice breeze. But now my allergies are starting to act up. Anyway, I feel a little better not using the extra electricity - because I know once June hits, my AC will be on 24/7!:thumbsup2

Okay, so on the swine flu - I think for us that just means to really watch hygene. Seriously. I'm glad we're taking our own stroller, loaded up on wipes because of the kids - no waterfountains, but all else should be fine.

Here is my thought - I could run into someone at the GROCERY STORE who sneezed on me too. You just never know. :confused3

50% down here means that there is a 50% chance of a shower or storm which would last about 1/2 hour and then clear up - not 50% chance of all day rain.\.
I'm so glad you brought this up, because here it means rain all day, or at least a good portion. I forgot how short those things blow in and out down there. :goodvibes

Okay, so thanks for the therm help. I think I may ad that on the to-do list. You always know so much stuff! :worship:

As for Beth, I'll let you know how this trip goes with us in a room for 7 nights. Nicolas = super light sleeper. Mia = heavy sleeper. :confused3 It will be a crap shoot. We'll see. I will have the condo which is 4BR to compare it to. I gotta say, I like condos. ;)

week -:confused3

Tessa
The diet makes sense! MARKET IT! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Girl, I wish I could find my willpower again. I wanted to get pregnant again and not have all the complications (aka - newborn being transfused), so I had that as a motivator. Wasn't about me but about the health of the baby, so I just did so well. Since then, not so much. :sad2: I will say if you follow it to a T you will be surprised how much will come off. And I DID NOT exercise either - so if you add that in, you'll be rocking!

And they are getting very serious about Jeff transferring, even talking about how to handle our house here. The ONLY way we could do it is they buy the house outright, pay all closing costs, AND compensate us 100% for the addition in back. Financially it is a smart move to make. My first reaction is, Kara - are you kidding me?

Then I realise, you do live very close and just last night they were saying they'd have it all under wraps in about 2-3 months. I don't know what to say. I'd love to see you, but I understand too. When we had CBR booked when Nicolas was 2, I was 8 weeks pregnant, we decided to cancel 2 days prior to leaving. It was the big anthrax scare then. Nothing happened, and we didn't go on our trip. You just never know. Then again, we can't just drive any weekend we want either.

As far as the transfer - is that SC? I can understand you being so torn. I mean, :headache: you do seem to enjoy it there except for the school. :confused3 Goodness!

Lorrie-- did you find shorts for Carlos at Kohls? Just keep the kids covered in anti-bacterial and you will be fine.
YES I DID! I got him 3 pair, and he LOVES them. They were $30 each on sale for 11! I am seriously thinking about heading back and getting a couple more. Gosh, that place is cheaper than Target, why I don't go there more often is beyond me. :confused3

My friend had surgery, so I'm keeping her son today after school. I was going to skip practice for soccer, but she asked if I could just take him to practice, so I guess we'll be going to that tonight too.

I've got to clean today, it is always something. Okay, off to start my day up.

HI GIRLS! I am completely trying to agree with Cammie but my mind does wonder....
Think of it this way...low crowds!

Kara...I feel for you with the whole transfer thing. You probably have such mixed emotions!

Gotta run...I AM actually getting stuff done. My goal was to start May 1st so doing the stuff I am doing now is an added bonus. How about you Tammie!

I've just cleaned the kitchen & bonus rooms, so that is good. I've got to pick up kids soon, so I thought I would take me a little break to say hi! :goodvibes But everyone must be playing outside today. :confused3

I'm exhausted all ready.

I didn't want to sound like a broken record, but I've been dealing with allergy issues again. My ear has a lot of fluid on it - has for 3 days now. It is at least not getting any worse. I'm telling you, I think I'm allergic to flying. :rotfl2:

When I get back time to go through toys again. We are bursting at the seams with all this clutter. ERRRRRRR!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

i'm not outside-too yucky. I'm doing house maintanence. Just checked my credit score. Not bad. I thought it was a lot worse. I'm not perfect but in the comfortable category. I guess I am not a low life afterall. Stupid CC company. Oh well. it will be interesting to watch what happens.

I'm about to just freak out or cry!

OUR ROOF IS LEAKING! MAJOR

They think the soonest they can get to it is NEXT WEEK.

Carlos is going to want to ditch the trip. :sad1:

It isn't a trip to wdw unless there is major houme repairs to be done. Remember my bethroom ceiling? I hope you guys are okay. What caused the leak?

Oh Lorrie - you can't cancel! Won't you lose money? Can't they just give you a temporary fix until you get back?

Okay, I'm much more calm now.

I go up to the attic, and look around - I see no leak. Then I look down at my feet. Guess what is overflooding? The drain pain to the air unit.

Basically, the switch that is suppose to switch the unit off when that happens FAILED, the pipe they have to drain it - yeah some dufus put that going in an upward sland. Guess they've never learned about gravity. :rolleyes1

Then for some reason it just overflooded the pan, traveled across a joist and drained down into the light.

SO... the restoration people were here. 3 days to dry it out. I have a industrial fan going & a humidifier in my kitchen. I told them they needed to be done Friday - he said if not they could let us keep the equipment inside until we get back. I'm wondering at what fee.

So we switched the air unit off. It is raining, so I can't open the windows. At least I keep our house artic, so even though it has warmed up in here, we're still at 72. ;)

Carlos - no where to be found - finally said he was coming home this afternoon. I told him he needed to get dinner. The air unit people are coming tonight between now and 10 pm. Lovely window there - huh?

What sucks - is I think this is all my fault. I mean, we had the new unit when Mia was born. They said no need to service for the first year. So I just haven't called to get back going - so I'm a year late. :confused3

At least it isn't the roof though. :headache:

am I allowed to add my ear feels full of pressure and my throat is starting to feel sore?

Oh Renee.....it's always something right! Vent away....we are the therapy so if you can't let it out here where can you let it out! I am glad the roof is OK. Nothing is stopping you now! Just think positive and get back on some meds!

I tell you, I knew it was allergy related. It is all just allergies. So I go to the weather channel -

our area: Here is the pollen count:
Grass High

So maybe when I get to FL I will be better. I'm on all my meds, and adding Patanase into the mix tonight too. Stupid Grass!

So I call Carlos who wants 50000000 instructions for dinner. "How about Pizza Hut?" I think under my breath, I could have done that. "FINE" he was about to ask me to call it in as he always does. I told him "YOU TAKE CARE OF IT". I think he knew that was it!

The kids are being good. Just noisy and kids, but at least they've been good. The machines downstairs sure are loud.

crazy lady here....have them check for mold when the are repairing the leak. It could be part of your issue. Trust me otcis amazing how fast mold can grow with a little water. BTW I haven't had a heating/ac guy out here since we've moved in 10+ yrs ago.
