We went to the parade downtown! I am so glad we didn't whimp out yesterday. My DD and I had a great time. It wasn't too cold and we had a great spot on the street! It's actually on TV right now by me!

Here are a couple parade pix but they didn't turn out too good....

It does get you in the spirit!!

Hi everyone. I'm finally getting over the worst part of my cold. The cough is so bad though. Cough medicine doesn't even help that much and I bought the good stuff.

Debbie, that's great that you can get a dvd made up for you. My dh made a cool menu w/music for our last Disney home video. He is really good at that kind of stuff but doesn't always have the time to do it. This week he is building shelves into the wall in the playroom. We really need the space up there. DD is so spoiled. I'm glad you had fun at the parade. We went one year and had a great time but I wasn't feeling so great this weekend.

pbharris, I know how you feel about going out looking not so great. Today I went to a birthday party w/no makeup. I know that is not so bad for some people but I have pale skin and when I'm not feeling my best it shows more w/out the makeup.

tinklvr, I also am a tink fan. So is my dd. She's 2 and I have already started the Disney brainwashing on her, which we all know is not so hard.

Well, bye for now.
Hope I'll be back soon. Love to hear from you all.

I hear about all your colds and coughs and I feel so bad for you guys! It stinks to be sick! I am so....parinoid of getting sick! We went to the Museum Of Science & Industry and saw the trees for the holidays today. It was nice. A lot of people though. We didn't realize it was FREE day there! Yikes! Not a good place for a germaphob either. Oh well, you can't live in a bubble, right?
Debbie

Good morning guys!

How's everyone doing???

I redid my DVD today WITH the pix that were missing and they said they would cancel my first DVD (that I wasn't as happy with). So hopefully that all gets worked out. I did receive an email that said they took care of it all already. :)

We went and saw the "Christmas Around The World" trees yesterday at the Museum Of Science & Industry. We really try to make it a point to utilize everything the city has to offer. I love it down there!

My Thanksgiving plans are in the middle of being messed up. Long story short My SIL saw us Sunday and said to us as we were leaving "See you at 3:00 on Thanksgiving"! A few weeks ago we told her that we were going by my side at 3:00 and she originally told my DH that she would have us over around 1:00. So now we are probably not going to go by his side because we obviously can't be in two places at once. :confused3
But...I don't want anyone mad at me or to look like the bad guy because we aren't seeing DHs family but it isn't my fault they changed the time, right?

Talk to you guys later...
Hope everyone stays or gets healthy!
Debbie

Debbie,
I know how you feel about Thanksgiving. When my dh and I were dating we tried to go to both families houses. We ended up getting to my grandma's a lot later than we were supposed to because everyone at his family's wanted us to stay longer.
Did you get my PM? It doesn't show up on my computer that I wrote it. I am so online illiterate.

Hi there!!! Sorry I haven't been around for a few days. I've been making candy, a pie, more candy, shopping, and so on. I didn't even cook dinner this week. Thank goodness for take out! But I get a breather tomorrow. I dread the day I have to cook a turkey! I've done ham before..once and it turned out good! Maybe I'll stick with ham. Everyone is better..I'm stick coughing up a lung, but hey..I have another one! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a SUPER, SUPER Thanksgiving!!! and Happy Shopping Friday!!! :woohoo:

Pam

Hi! I got back from WDW on Sunday and, overall, we had a good time. There were some problems at the beginning of the trip....a flight delay on the runway with a cranky one year old and missing luggage (my husband didn't put his ME tag on his suitcase!). The weather was really nice and up until Sunday, there were no crowds. My oldest DD and I had so much fun at MVMCP. The babies were really well behaved.

Thanks for listening and understanding. It is nice to be able to talk to people who understand...most people IRL tell me, "just don't worry." Obviously, that is easier said than done!

Debbie and pbharris-thanks for the reassurance. You really did help to calm my nerves before my trip. The checklist was very helpful.

DisneyOhana-I have the brainwashing going on full force with all my kids. This was dd1's 4th trip to WDW, ds' 2nd trip, and dd2's first trip. I like Tink, but my daughter is crazy about Cinderella. I did get to dress her up as Tink for Halloween when she was one, as she didn't have her own opinions on costumes like she does now!

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! I wish I could go shopping on Friday, but I am working all day. I hope you find some great deals!

Hello, my name is Cherie and I have serious OCD!!! No....seriously! I thought I was the only one who tried to plan every second of my disney trips! It's nice to know I'm not alone. I am starting to plan our trip for May 07 and my poor dh has to hear about it every day, pretty much every time we have a conversation! It would take me too long to list all of the things that I worry about! But once I get there I'm fine, it's just worring about all the things before that can go wrong! :Pinkbounc

Awwwww :grouphug:

Tink..glad you had a wonderful trip!!!

Cherie...Welcome!

We should have a welcome saying!!!

Tinklvr, Glad you had a fun trip. I am nervous about my first flight with my sometimes whiney 2 yr old. That's not 'til May though. Lots of time to worry. I tried to buy my dd a Cinderella dress for halloween this year since she likes the movie. She didn't seem to care and she kept putting the dress back. I just used a costume from home.

Cherie, Welcome.

Debbie, I too am thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving. It's been a long but wonderful day. I need some sleep. Good night to you all.

Debbie

We went to MK the morning of MVMCP and I saw a sign saying that it was sold out. Of course, I immediately began to worry. I thought we might not be able to do anything, but when we got there, it didn't really seem too crowded. We went to "Twas the Night Before Christmas" show. We got there about 1/2 hr early and we were able to get seats. It was really cute! Then we headed over to Frontier Land for the parade. We were able to get a decent spot, but it wasn't up front. A really nice women asked my daughter if she wanted to stand up front with her..I thought that was so nice! We had hot cocoa and cookies and enjoyed the parade.

After the parade, we found a spot to watch Holiday Wishes. It was the most amazing fireworks display I have ever seen! I even started to cry. After that, my husband took the babies back to the room, and my daughter and I were on our own. There was a dance party with Suzie and Perla in Fantasy Land and my daughter had SO much fun! She was dancing like a maniac..I don't know where she got the energy. I think she would have happily stayed there for the rest of the night.

We finally left the dance party and she got her pic taken with Belle and the Beast. Belle had a beautiful holiday dress on. Then we had about 1 and 1/2 hours left and we just walked on every ride she wanted to go on. Finally, on the way out, we saw the snow on Main St. She loved it! She was running around, trying to catch the "snowflakes" on her tongue.

The entire evening was so amazing...it was so much better than I could have even imagined. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I did because I went to my husband's cousin's house, so I didn't have to worry about getting anything ready. It was so relaxing!

I am so happy that I found this thread...everyone here is just like me!

Sounds like you had one magical day at the MK! Glad to hear you and your family had such a wonderful time! :0)

Disneyohana...I bet your child will do fine on the flight. I was worried about my 3 yo DD, but she did much better than the rest of us! It was my older DD10 who kept asking all t e dreadful questions..what if we crash over water, what happens if we crash, what was that bump, etc. It was so hard to comfort her when I was scared sh**less myself. But my 3 yo..was giggling playing with sticker books, and drawing, and watching Max & Ruby on the DVD player. I'd love to kiss who ever invented that thing!

Tinklvr Your MVMCP sounded so great!!!!! :cool1: I would love to do that one year. We always do MNSSP and my DD too did not want to leave the dance floor and like you, we sent the baby back to the hotel with the guys and it was just my Mom, myself and DD3(almost 4) and it was the best!!!!! She went all night too.
I'm glad you had a fun time. You have to post some pix if you can here. It's a little tricky but once you learn how it's easy!

Lisa,
My spoiled DD has been on a plane every year of her life and has done fine! They are pretty amazed by the whole experience so it kind of makes the time fly. Like Pam said DVD player baby and of course the essentials...stickers, crayons, books...
I always go to the Disney Store and buy Disney stuff off that little rack of items to surprise her with on the plane. There's mini coloring books, little characters, etc. Plus, I buy Disney cookies and candy from Walgreens mainly.

FromScratchMom
...Did you do a "from scratch" Thanksgiving! That would seem like a TON of work. Hope to hear from you soon!
By buds,
Debbie

Okay, I know I'm a little late (that's what happens when things get out of your control), but I'm here now. I'm a take-charge-in-control personality TYPE A. Whew thanks for letting me get that out.

My name is Karen and I'm a control freak. Not so much a worry wart (dh does that), but definitely not one to relinquish control of situations lightly. When I'm not in control, I worry (OMG I am a worry wart).

I need to have a place to come and vent, but I DO NOT want to change. I seriously like my control freak personality and would be happy to be a control freak inspiration to others. We are the ones who rule the world and we are the ones who accept full responsibilty for our freaksihness. :thumbsup2
