Oh I got in trouble! I tried to bite my tongue when he got home but obviously didn't. He said I was putting a damper on his happy Christmas shopping morning! :rotfl2: He did get some stuff on sale at least but he also got a couple unnecessaries! Oh well at least he's sweet enough to want to shop for us! I'm over it!
I went shopping in the afternoon and got $10.00 off my $100.00 purchase at Toys R Us plus had a coupon for another $3.00 off. I was mad at myself because I let a $5.00 off one expire!
Then I went to the Disney store where I got another 20% off of the stuff that was already on sale for 25% - 40% off!
I ROCK!

I just think about how much he spent. He is a good gift giver, but he gets me things that I could have gotten myself much cheaper. He sent me flowers when I went back to work after my maternity leave, and my first thought was, "oh no, I wonder how much these cost."
::yes:: ME TOO!! We need a smiley that means "agree"

Quick story: (Sorry) We'd been dating for 13 months (way back in 1992-93) and I had a FT job in an office and a PT job at the mall in a mens store. He comes in with a watch on (never wore a watch back then) to say Hi and said he was doing shopping. I said why the watch? Well, the Dallas Cowboys were on in 1.5 hrs. Okayyyyy. So he left. 15 mins. later I went on break. There he was at the jewelry store 2 doors down and across the mall from my store and he was filling out out a long sheet. So I knew he was buying me an engagement ring. I never said anything. He gave me the ring Xmas Eve. I then told him I saw him buying it when I went on break.
So he didn't plan that very well. But he must have been looking before.....well I hope so..I'd hate to think he picked out a ring for me in that short amount of time!
Cute story but you do know as a man he could have picked that ring out that fast!! :rotfl2:
See ya tomorrow!

I'm freaking out a bit too much to right now. I can't even write it all out. But I'll get back in touch after and let yall know how it all turned out.

Debbie...I know what you mean about biting your tongue. I try REALLY hard, but apparently, I roll my eyes a lot (usually I don't even realize I am doing it) and so DH can usually tell what I am thinking. And I do feel bad about it, b/c like you said, it is wonderful that he cares enough to shop. Ahh..sometimes it is so hard to be a control-freak :teeth: But at least we are considerate control freaks and we try to look out for other people's feelings. My older sister is an inconsiderate control freak, and it is NOT pretty.

Fromscratchmom :wave2: Try to stay calm. I felt the same way before I left in Nov. I worried about everything, but for the most part, everything was fine. There were a few glitches, but they were easily resolved. I tried really hard on my trip to be calm and just go with the flow. It is so hard when you are an obsessive planner, but I know in the past, I let little things ruin my fun. This time, I really tried to just relax. I know you will have an amazing trip. Don't miss Holiday Wishes at MVMCP...they were amazing. Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This made me chuckle.

FromScratchMom...deep breathes...deep breathes...

Cupons! it irrates me to no end! I clip them, mom forgets them and I cant fit them in my purse (too many migrane meds). GRR I hate when she does that. I once signed up for two credit cards to get $30 off a purchace on each (score $60 bucks).

I started packing today and freaking out that I only have 5 pair of shorts! AHH Darn I gatta see how many point I need to shop for new ones. Credit card rewards are great. ANyone got good cards with huge rewards? Freaking out about things now because I had two high blood counts one month, a normal and a low. this is very odd and can be a sign of cancer

I shop the same way. After putting my groceries in the car the other day I carried my dd back into Jewel because I found my $6.00 coupon. Lately, when I am buying something that there are coupons for, example at Carsons, the lady just gave me a coupon from the book. It happened at Babies R Us too. Sometimes you just get a nice cashier.
I missed the show on hotels and sickness. What kinds of illnesses do people get? I know my sister got sick in Cleveland when we went to see the MMC and we thought it was because of our room. It was musty and had cobwebs. You felt like you couldn't breathe in there. I would think that there are a lot more visitors at the Nick hotel though and I would assume they clean it good since they are a well known place.

Flying babyb - I hope you're okay. I don't know much about high and low blood count. My husband's dad, sister, & grandparents had cancer so I worry a lot about my DH and DD. But, being the worry wart that I am, I worry about so many things that could happen to any of us that I sometimes get sick to my stomach.

Love ya,
Debbie

Tinklvr...I have a question for you. I have been taking two Alieve during the day and two tylonol PMs at night with this whole shoulder/arm pain but now I have taken nothing today because I feel like I am really irritable and retaining water. I know....I'm coo coo. Do you think it could be from either of those meds?

Debbie..Aleve can cause you to retain water. It's not too common with the dose available OTC, but it is possible. Can you switch to ibuprofen? They are in the same class of medication (NSAIDS), but you may not experience that side effect with ibuprofen. HTH!

I thought maybe a anti inflamitory would at least help my arm get better. Nothing seems to be doing much. I might have to go to a doc. I am crazy so I weigh myself every day and today I gained 5lbs overnight! That's just wrong! I figured it had to be water. I think I already did lose some water weight from not taking it today.
Thanks Tink!

I will find out on thursday. Im worried. I guess my main fear is if its major and requires surgery I will have to get better in under 3 months or miss my calafornia adventure. If its cancer, well darn it, I go to disney sick and bald. NOTHING (aside from death) will keep me from disney.

Have doctors mentioned the "C" word to you?

Debbie...I agree, its probably time to call the MD. Maybe they can give you a muscle relaxant and a stronger NSAID. My husband's back acts up every once in a while, and he swears by Skelaxin (a muscle relaxant) and rx ibuprofen. Hope your shoulder feels better soon! Keep me updated.

I heard that the Bears won last night on Mon Night Football. I was excited for you. The Eagles are going nowhere fast this year. None of our teams are even competitive this year..its so sad :guilty:

Flying babyb - I know not all surgeries are the same but after my c-section I had to take a lot of pain killers and still it was hard to get up. I would feel this pinching stretching feeling. Anyways, it took less than 3 months to recover so hopefully it would be the same for you if that is what is needed.
Debbie - Sorry you're still in pain. Sounds like you have a great husband helping you w/Christmas shopping.
Well DH has some type of cold or flu. He has a fever but he is a strep carrier so you never know if it is the strep or the flu causing it. DD has a little nasal congestion but doesn't seem too bad. DD's b-day parties are this weekend so I hope we are all well by then.

Flying B: A big hug for you. I hope everything goes well for you.

Debbie: I'm sorry your shoulder is still hurting. I'd go in to have it checked out. If you haven't already..keep giving that side a rest.

Hi everybody else! :o)

I am such a control freak, too. I thought it was just me! I'm never, ever as bad as when planning a trip. Especially a trip to Disney. This is odd for me, because I live half an hour away, DH works there, and we go at least every two months for a full day. You'd think I had the routine down, right? WRONG. Every time, I drive everyone in my house crazy planning. I start reading up on tips ahead of time (like 2 weeks!) and making lists. Lists of what to pack, lists of what I need in each bag, lists of things to do before leaving the house... it gets ridiculous. I tell you what, though... we are always prepared for anything on our days in the parks.

I'm turning my DS into a list-a-holic as well! He's 12, and he's getting as into the planning as I am. Sometimes I feel bad. :rotfl: No I don't!

am I the only one that starts planning 3 months in advance? Ive started packing already. I trying to figure out what to do with my luggage tag since its a ugly hot pink. I want to make it stick out on the baggage cart. its like a leather type thing thats coated in vinyal (sp). Its gonna be on my checked bagage (GASP, I actually have to have checked baggage.
