Kara - and on the whole economy thing. My husband is an economist, so things can get real intersting around here. Sometimes I feel like I'm in another lecture at school :sad2:

If it is any help, he has commented about the state of things, but I've not heard the tighten down the hatches speech yet either. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand your DH, but it is our patriotic duty to go to Disney and throw $$$ into the economy. For me, I'm telling DH that we were given the economic stim check with the intention for us to spend that money, so I'm doing my duty and spending it on a Disney vacation :rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2 So there you go!

Secondly, my season pass holding friend - are you guys going in May. It would be cool if were were there at the same time! I told DH that Epcot is one of the places I want to go. His response about dinner planning - as long as we have that one where the girl is almost in the bikini with the "I dream of Jeannie" pants. JASMINE - men! :rotfl2: :lmao:

I totally agree!!!! And for May next year? Our passes expire 5/8 so I'm sure DH would love to get in a trip in early May again - have I mentioned how much we love Disney (especially Epcot) in May? :rotfl2: Besides, didn't someone once say that my goal was to have a DIS meet with everyone on our thread? I'd say I'm well on my way! :rotfl:

Tell your DH not to worry - Jasmine is always out in Morocco in the World Showcase. Last trip, Jeff kept saying "Jasmine is Daddy's favorite princess." This trip it was Belle.

Jillian - I read that Pop Warner week begins the 7th so right now we're planning the 4th to the 7th. I think most of them will stay the weekend after so we might be good the 6th and 7th. And then if I wait until two weeks later, the price goes waaaaaaaay up, but I definitely want to see the Christmas decorations.

I think your sis would love BBB! I'm just worried that Ally will want to do it every time we go :scared1: and that's $50 that could be spent elsewhere!

Good morning girls!!!
Just checking in now and then hopefully later this afternoon. DD is off of school and it is supposed to be 72 and sunny!

Hi everyone! Just a quick fly by - I'm getting ready to leave for our retreat weekend. We'll be having strawberries in white choc. fondue, champagne, lots of wine, quiche, tri-tip and baked potatoes...yummm lots of pampering and bonding.
Anyway, about the breakouts - as we start to age, the magic time usually being 40, two things can happen. One is a hormone imbalance because we start to suppress the production of progesterone. "What your doctor may not tell you about PMS" or "What your doctor may not tell you about menopause," by Dr. John Lee talk about this.
The other thing is that we don't turn our surface cells over as fast as when we were younger, so good ex foliation is important. Debbie, if you have broken out badly, don't use the scrub - use the clay masque or an enzyme masque.
Thanks for the info Tammie and have a GREAT, relaxing time!

Can you help me out? Disney Shopping has free shipping today, so I thought it might be a good time to order DD a dress for our upcoming May trip
Ever since she was tiny, she has always been drawn to Snow White Not sure why, she has just always loved her. So naturally, I'd like to get her a snow white dress. She is a tiny thing. 5th percentile for her weight/age. She is average in height. She will be 2 next may (turns 2 in March).
What sizes can you first start getting dresses - I think I've seen the smallest as a 3-4. Suggestions? I've found one on EBAY for size 3, but I"m afraid it will swallow her whole!
Let me see if there is ANOTHER code to add to free shipping! I'll get back to you.
I am the wrong person to ask because I already have a Belle Christmas dress and a Enchanted deluxe dress because I got such great deals on them at Disneyshopping. DD loves Jasmine now! Go figure. I want her to love a princess with a big flowing dress!!!!

Here is the problem with the acne. It HAS to be hormonal because I have been using Arbonne for a few months now and I love all the products and my skin looks great aside from these outbursts. I wash, I ex-foliate, I take better care of my skin then I EVER have since I turned 40 and can see my face aging.
ALSO, I have seen a derm and have antibiotics and antibiotic wipes...
SO....NOTHING works! It's like over night there is a change. I go from being miserable where they are inflamed and big and then after about 3 days I can feel them drying up. I swear from nothing I have done.
Thanks for sharing all your experiences with me.
Jillian...like you I NEVER worried about my skin. The worst I ever had was break outs on my back when I was in high school.
Oh well like us old 40 somethings have said IT SUCKS TO GET OLDER!
I mostly hate that getting tired around 3 feeling. I need to cut back on caffeine and all I do is think of ways to add it.
Night time between 6 and bed time is really getting bad around here because DH & I are so tired!! We just want to veg out at that time and our kids do NOT entertain themselves well. They just get into trouble when we aren't paying attention. It is frustrating and I need a new plan!

Kara & Laura you guys are just lucky enough to have the dis while you are working at the computer! That is cool. If I was still working that would have been VERY dangerous for me! Those poor students of mine would have been neglected like my kids are!:rotfl2:
Laura the pix are great! I haven't finished looking yet but I love how you edited the "stranger" out of the evil step sister pic!

Cammie...I so love Lost but I am really getting brain fried from being so confused through out each episode. Why won't it be on next week anyway????

One of my favorite things happened yesterday!!! New good friends of ours want my help planning a WDW trip!!!:cheer2: Get this....they are twin boys that my DD has fallen in love with and they might be there the EXACT time as us...and get this too....they are probably going to do GF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cheer2: I know I am freaking her out with all my ADR talk but she needs to get a cutting!

Kara...sorry for your money woes. I have realized i am spending way to much lately too and worried I am going to get us in trouble. Thankfully my DHs work has been good in an industry (construction) that isn't doing well.

Just saw your pix when I went to post. LOVE them!!!

Laura....your pix reminded me of our CRT experiences. Even though it is so pricey don't you think it is something you HAVE to do at least once! That's where I had my 40th dinner and wouldn't have wanted it any other way!!! I wish it was less and we are actually taking a pass in September but I just love that castle!!!!!

LIVE365 is on! LOVE it! Now I am thinking I should get one of those desk top radios that pick up the signal from your LIVE365 account. Then I can bring it anywhere in the house more easily!!!

On a bad not I think are drier is dying and I told my Mom I would by the next one!!!:scared1: You put your clothes in and the drier is hot but when you go to take the clothes out they aren't dry. Like it is shutting off in the middle or something.

Shout out to Tessa, Tina and Erin as well. Pam are you lurking or did you ditch us again!

Have a great Friday. I TRULY can't believe it's Friday. This week flew by!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie - had this happen twice. Once it was the element in the dryer - had that replaced, but it was under warrenty so I can't comment on the cost.

The other time, it was that lint had clogged up the line. The repair person went outside and found a clog in the exhaust that caused it not to be able to flush the lint/air out. He removed the clog and it worked fine. I guess it has a sensor that cuts the heat off when it overheats. Ours was clogged on the outside, then they had to actually clean the whole pipe out. They said it was a wonder it didn't catch the whole house on fire. :scared1: After that, the dryer worked fine.

Thanks for the code! That is a good one. I'm not sure I will order anything. They don't have a snow white dress :confused3

Renee- That looks like a good deal. You get both? It looks like it is in good shape. Pinning will do wonders.

By the Way

THANK YOU

I'm sure it could be done, but I'd wait until closer to the time you leave to make sure it fits. I
Love the pictures of Ally! Yeah, there is a dress I love, but it has a fringe that looks scratchy. I'm really trying to find one that is all soft. GOOD POINT! Now, you can't tell me to wait - what is up with that!?! :rotfl: What I figure is there isn't a size smaller. Found out XXS is it. So 2/3 will probably either just barely fit, but more likely need altering. I THINK my DM can do that. SOOOOO... might have to bid on that $15 one. I think too we might use it to take Halloween pics in this year. DS is already screaming he wants to be Buzz again  Of course he does! I gave that one away!:sad2:

Yeah, but I will have to tell her that I only need the dress. No sense in shipping the Dumbo. I have no use for it. Maybe she can relist that one and sell to someone else - that is IF I win it. :rotfl: I always get ahead of myself on EBAY.

Got your PM- I'll get to the boxes soon. It is a good motivator for me to actually go through the mounds of stuff - so it is really helping me out! :) DS would love that they are going to a firefighter home. That is what he wants to be when he grows up. Kinda an all in the family type thing

Hey,my Dad said he can feel the tube and it is warm and that he does not think it is plugged because we see it coming out of the house. Does that sound right?

Also, I checked for codes and it looks like there aren't any new good ones for now besides free shipping. Sorry.

Hey - am I right that this stuff is scratchy?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=290230730737

Love this dress the most, but it looks itchy.

Kind of but it seems like any princess dress will have something scratchy to it. I put stuff on under it like a TShirt or turtle neck (remember it can feel like winter here in October). That one you posted looks really nice. Plus, you want the dress a little big. Otherwise it is a bear to get on and off.

I better run!

We had no heat coming at all through it. Kinda gross, but we actually touched it and it was clogged with lint right at the exit, so we could pull handfulls out there. It seems in some homes they put a little mesh filter in to keep small animals out. Works for that, but causes clogs. If your dad can feel heat coming out, you may have had an element go bad. That was the other issue I had. Once it was replaced, the dryer worked fine. Call repair guys and see how much that might cost? It might be cheaper than replacing the dryer if it isn't that old. :confused3

When the element went out, the dryer would get warm. At the end of the cycle, the clothes would still be exceptionally damp, but feel slightly warm. YOu could dry a load, but it would take like 4 long cycles to dry something like 3 towels. Hope that helps some!!!

Your DS is too funny. That dress looks great I think it looks less itchy than the first one. It seems softer. Also a pair of "bike" shorts might help.

We had the same problem and it was going to cost more than the dryer was worth it came with the house. Just to come out and look at it was going to cost $100 so it may be worth it to cut your losses?

It is the gold fringe that I worry about being itchy. I'm wondering if I can tack that part down on the dress so it isnt' constantly touching the skin.

Did you know you're supposed to clean out that line every once in awhile? I had no idea! We had NEVER done it once in the first six years of living in this house; after my divorce, a neighbor pointed it out to me as something I should keep on my to-do list.

As far as financial woes - I hear ya! I never can get ahead - and I'm sure my Disney vacations don't help (will NEVER give those up!) My appliances are almost 15 years old and I'm just waiting for something to go; but everytime I think I'm going to lay out the money for new ones, money is needed elsewhere. In January, orthodontist decided it was time to put on Lauren's braces; in April, the tv went. Now I'm just hoping nothing konks out through the summer and I can maybe think about a new dishwasher in September.

And, to top it off, everytime the girls come back from a weekend at Dad's, I have to hear about the latest enhancements he's had done at his house: stereo surround sound in the living room; turned basement into workout room; re-did their master bath. And did I mention ....... he's leaving tonite for a 2 week European vacation -- 3 months after his 1 week Cayman Island vacation. Nice, huh? Seriously, I'll choose my week in WDW with the girls anytime but it just gets my goat that he can even afford to do things like that! Ok - my jealous rant is over. I know I'm very fortunate - so many others out there have it much worse. Perspective, Cammie.

Jillian and Kara - I've been to Disney several times during Pop Warner week; and unless you're staying at the same hotel as them (which are the All Star resorts, I believe), you hardly notice them. There is one night, though, where they close DHS early (@7 or 8) so they can have the park to themselves. It's usually been a Friday nite of their week; so that whole day is pretty busy at the Studios. Other than that, I never even noticed them.

Laura - The pictures are so cute!

Debbie - Lost isn't on next week because that stupid Grey's Anatomy is having THEIR 2 hour season finale. How dare they?:snooty:

Tammie - Have a great weekend. Sounds like alot of fun.

Laura- Your DD is too cute! I love the one when she was done w/ BBB and the look on her face is just too much :rotfl2: Also the father daughter dance is great.

Cammie- I would like to be able to walk onto the rides. Did you find this possible? Or should I wait until Jan to go?

I am from Divorced parents and We had the same problem Dad and Step mom could vacay and my mother and stepdad struggled because they had to take in my cousin and raise her too. My dad only paid 65 dollars a week Child support and my DM couldn't take him to court she couldn't afford it.

When we moved in here, we were told to have the outside pipe cleaned out twice a year, and sure enough there are signs on the road that advertise "dryer vent cleaning." Our builder told us to just use one of those people to do it. Never knew this before!!!

I also read that the past couple of years Pop Warner stays at one of the PO resorts? Jillian, you may want to check on this - aren't you staying at POFQ?

OK, I just read the funniest TR - actually I'm not even halfway through it - she writes it so funny, like a novel! OH, shoot, I lost the link. Anyway, it's under the TRs and says something about Wicked Stepmother and Manners. It's a hoot!
