Hi Girls..
Renee...so sad to go through those shots! It is so sad! Plus, that reminds me I have to get my DD in. She is gonna freak!!!!!!

Cammie.....yeah LOST!!

Kara.....congrats on the photopass. Believe me I know what an undertaking that is..been there done that!

Tina...Happy dance right on to better work days!

Sorry about work Laura! That sucks. I wish we were all independently wealthy!

I am so tired again. We went to a nature museum today with a BEAUTIFUL butterfly exhibit, DS was at home with my Mom all day.

Something is going on with my body! My face is breaking out all over with adult acne. Completely came from left field and now it is horrible. There is NO consistency to this skin problem of mine but right now it is the worst!! I am breaking out in the T zone plus my neck and even in my ears! WTH! I am 40 years old!

I can say I hav been there recently. I am 32 yrs old and have a back that looks like a teenagers. Face was a little better. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was going on. I recently read that as we adults do activities where we sweat we don't always wash up afterwards. This traps all the bacteria on our skin and gives it time to grow. Yuck! I really noticed my breakouts after I started going to the Y and working really hard. Once I stopped when I was sick they went away. Anyway I'm with you. I wish they would not happen.

Kara - did you notice that we burned thru more pages today than they did while we were gone:rotfl: . Does this mean we spend too much time here? :surfweb:

Renee glad to hear the postcard made it. It was the last day we were there. We were driving up US 1 out of Palm Beach and I look in my bag and there they were. I lost it. We stopped at some random post office to send them. Glad to hear it was well received. :lovestruc I would love to be able to tell my DD after shots that we were going back to WDW.

DD is screaming her head off. Doesn't want to fall asleep. I know 18 mos she should be able to cry herself to sleep. Still sometimes the crying can be a bit too much. I've been typing for a while so I am calm and collected so I can attend to her needs. I love knowing I have the ability to walk away and count to 10 and come back. It really helps. Gotta run.

Hi Everyone. It has been a busy day. I am tuckerd out. We bought Badookie a new stroller today and did shopping for his Birthday party. We also had a play date and I did some cleaning.

Tessa- Happy Birthday.

Debbie- After Ds was born my acne was terrible as you described and I went to the derm. and he put me on an antibiotic and a sulfar face wash you can ask your primary care doctor.

Kara- Woo Hoo on photo pass

So My parents are now not able to go to Disney in Nov. We will be changing our plans yet again:mad: We will be taking my sister (14) and now are going 12/4 to 12/11. I am hoping for peace and a good deal.

Hi everyone! Just a quick fly by - I'm getting ready to leave for our retreat weekend. We'll be having strawberries in white choc. fondue, champagne, lots of wine, quiche, tri-tip and baked potatoes...yummm lots of pampering and bonding.

Anyway, about the breakouts - as we start to age, the magic time usually being 40, two things can happen. One is a hormone imbalance because we start to supress the production of progesterone. "What your doctor may not tell you about PMS" or "What your doctor may not tell you about menopause," by Dr. John Lee talk about this.

The other thing is that we don't turn our surface cells over as fast as when we were younger, so good exfoliation is important. Debbie, if you have broken out badly, don't use the scrub - use the clay masque or an enzyme masque.

Okay, off my soapbox! Have a great weekend girls!

Happy Birthday Tessa!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I recently read that as we adults do activities where we sweat we don't always wash up afterwards. This traps all the bacteria on our skin and gives it time to grow.

So what Laura is trying to say is that we are disgusting, filthy human beings who don't clean ourselves? :rotfl2:

Kara - did you notice that we burned thru more pages today than they did while we were gone:rotfl: . Does this mean we spend too much time here? :surfweb:

Yes, I did notice that and I realized that I need to get a life!!! :rotfl:

Hi Girls..
I am so tired again. We went to a nature museum today with a BEAUTIFUL butterfly exhibit, DS was at home with my Mom all day.

I don't know what it is but I've just been dead tired all week too! It hits about 3-4 in the afternoon. But then I usually come back to life right around bedtime and can't fall asleep! Aaaarrrrggghhh!

Debbie - I'm right there with you. About a year ago I started breaking out right along my hairline and on my jawline. And I'm talking big, hard, tumorlike zits. Sorry for the visual. But I still get it about once a month. And right now I have one right in front of my ear. It's just lovely! So I feel for you! But I'm gonna be 42 this summer, so if what Tammie says is accurate, then baby, we're just gettin' old! :rotfl2:

So My parents are now not able to go to Disney in Nov. We will be changing our plans yet again:mad: We will be taking my sister (14) and now are going 12/4 to 12/11. I am hoping for peace and a good deal.

Jillian - I'm so sorry you had to change your dates, and that your Ps can't go with you, HOWEVER, I might just have my 3rd DISmeet of the year!!! Right now we're planning on going that first weekend in December to see all the Christmas decor! And if I meet up with Debbie in September, I just met Laura last week, I'll hook up with you, too!!!!!

Now DH is starting to get cold feet about doing Disney in September, all because of the economy. He's the GM of an auto auction and he's seeing first hand how the economy is really affecting the auto industry. There is talk of gas being up to $5/gal by the end of summer (that's double in just one year!), and that will not only affect our cars, but then groceries will jump up, etc. I'm not an economist by any means (I was an English major so let me quote Shakespeare or something!), and DH is a very positive person, but I can tell that he's a little shaken with things right now. And he usually gets so mad at the media for making everything sound so bad, and just last night he said he thinks the media is actually downplaying the economy! :scared1:
They usually sell about 300 cars a week at his auction. This week they sold under 200, and it's been dropping for the past few months.

We have our final meeting with the contractor to do the summer kitchen this afternoon, and DH is wondering if we should hold off. We're having a new screen enclosure done, pavers, and the kitchen/bar area. So now DH is getting me panicked (that doesn't take much).

Sorry to be a downer, but it just got me thinking.....

Hey Cammie - I see you posting on the Lost thread!!! I haven't watched it yet - TIVO BABY!!!! Hopefully work will be slow today (so I can play on the DIS and watch Tivo!!!). But I really need to clean! The painter finished up yesterday afternoon and it looks great. The color is called Gobi Desert and it's just a basic beigy tan color, but darker than what the builder put up. So it gives the room a little more "warmth" especially at night. It was a good compromise - DH doesn't like anything dark, but I like a nice contrast with the white trim. So this worked out nicely. And the painter touched up our kitchen ceiling where DH got a big glob of green paint, and all our baseboards in the family room and hallways. PLUS he did the downstairs hallway for me and only charged an extra $75! I'll definitely keep his number handy - very cheap and did a nice job!

Cammie - I've thought of you often and always forget when it gets posting time. How is the stomach burning going? Feeling better?

Oh yes - no problems. One I took the Tums that night, I was feeling much better w/in a couple of hours. I really think it was something I ate. As has been discussed, I'm getting older; while I don't have the acne problems, I am realizing I can't eat the same foods like I used to!:sad2: I really loved onions - raw, grilled, sauteed - I'd put them on alot of things. I now realize I really can't do too much of them anymore. Same thing with certain cheeses. Can I say that it sucks to grow old?

IKara - did you notice that we burned thru more pages today than they did while we were gone:rotfl: . Does this mean we spend too much time here? :surfweb:

Yep! The rest of us just post here to humor you two! You guys need to get a life!:lmao:

So My parents are now not able to go to Disney in Nov. We will be changing our plans yet again:mad: We will be taking my sister (14) and now are going 12/4 to 12/11. I am hoping for peace and a good deal.

Oh my, Jillian - can't believe you've had to change your trip again. But, look on the bright side - you'll still get to see the xmas decorations and you'll definitely have less crowds to deal with. And......you may get to meet Kara! I'm really bumming now though. The week of 12/4 is the week we USUALLY go; I switch this one year to acoommodate family and I wind up missing out on a DIS meet!:headache:

Hold off on the kitchen; go to Disney in September! (like my priorities?)

Lost was soooo good last night! The hour went so fast! Of course, we still have so many questions! Lauren now makes me jump onto the Lost thread during the show to see if anyone can help explain what we're not getting. It seems, though, that most people are just as clueless as we are! Love it, though!

Drum roll please.....my website is back up and running!
DH finally got me access to our server to post the pictures. Whoo-hooo! Anyway here's the link:
http://www.schue.ws/florida08/index.htmlhttp://www.schue.ws/florida08/index.html

I am going to get more done on my trip report.

Beth is home from school today. We are prepping for the Church's spring carnival. It kind of takes over the school grounds with the rides and such. I'll be there tomorrow working in the school spirit shop. We'll have fireworks that night. They won't be as good as Wishes but I'm sure I'll get a little teary eyed at them

Kara completely understand where your DH is coming from on the economy bit. The flowermart is way down when compared to last year. We can't determine if it is because the spring weather has not been good or if people have actually tightened their belts. The $5/gal gas thing scares me. That's outrageous. ! You have to go on your trip because it is you 10th anniversary.

Cammie I just saw you are nearly under the 1 month mark. That is so cool.

Great pics, Laura! I am confused - did Katherine go with you - I don't see her in the pics :confused3

Laura - love your site with all the pics! I'm a star now!!! :rotfl2:

It's so sad looking at all those pics, thinking - I just saw that! I hate the post-Disney blues! :sad2:

OK, just watched Lost - can I just say WOW! Sawyer so has the perfect sneer - and I loved it, "Can I get you some lemonade while I'm at it?" :rotfl2:

So did Jack and Sawyer leave the helicopter pilot tied up? Did I miss that? Is next week the season finale??? And may I just say that Sun is the bomb!!!! What a ballsy chick! Love her!

Morning everyone.

Can you help me out? Disney Shopping has free shipping today, so I thought it might be a good time to order DD a dress for our upcoming May trip:banana:

Ever since she was tiny, she has always been drawn to Snow White :confused3 Not sure why, she has just always loved her. So naturally, I'd like to get her a snow white dress. She is a tiny thing. 5th percentile for her weight/age. She is average in height. She will be 2 next may (turns 2 in March).

What sizes can you first start getting dresses - I think I've seen the smallest as a 3-4. Suggestions? I've found one on EBAY for size 3, but I"m afraid it will swallow her whole!

Loved the pictures!!! My favorite is the one with the waterfall behind her! LOVE that one!

Renee - not sure what the smallest size is in the dresses, but I was just reading on the BBB thread that they are coming out with all new dresses so you may want to hold off for a few weeks. Also, if she's that tiny (Ally was always way ont he low end, too!), just get the dress altered a few weeks before you go. I've had to do that with a lot of Ally's clothes (especially when MIL continues to buy her everything a size too big!!!).

One more thing, when I've had Ally's dresses taken in, I just have them do the bodice and maybe take up from the shoulders - I can hem it myself to save money.

I can say I hav been there recently. I am 32 yrs old and have a back that looks like a teenagers. .

Laura - I noticed that DD was out of sorts for the first week and a half that I got back from Disney. DH said she was fine when I was gone, but I remember very well she started doing a crying thing before bedtime. It lasted about a week and a half. Seperation anxiety maybe... But then it got back to normal.

I didn't realize we are the same age...Nov here.

Now to make everyone hate me. I never had acne issues in highschool ever. My skin tends to be on the dry/sensative side. DH has it horribly though. I got him to using the Cetaphil face wash (you get it anywhere) and the lotion. As for mine, I've had some issues with hormones (pregnancy, nursing and then not) and found making sure I do a face wash and toner and then moisturizer twice a day really helps. That said, I think I've read somewhere that toners aren't the best. I have used Clinique for years. Everything else will break me out in a chemical burn rash. It is all about finding something that works, I guess.

One more thing, when I've had Ally's dresses taken in, I just have them do the bodice and maybe take up from the shoulders - I can hem it myself to save money.
Great ideas! Do you think they can alter it from a 3 to a 2 okay. Those portions are getting pretty small there. For some reason, I am thinking that all I found at Disney were 3 and up too. Maybe they don't make a 2. :confused3

Is this one a good deal?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140232666859&fromMakeTrack=true
I know that you mentioned that they have new styles coming out - but isn't a snow white - a snow white?

I'm very inexperienced in this girly stuff! :rotfl2:

I don't think I even knew there were princesses until I was like 12... :sad2:

Kara - and on the whole economy thing. My husband is an economist, so things can get real intersting around here. Sometimes I feel like I'm in another lecture at school :sad2:

If it is any help, he has commented about the state of things, but I've not heard the tighten down the hatches speech yet either. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand your DH, but it is our patriotic duty to go to Disney and throw $$$ into the economy. For me, I'm telling DH that we were given the economic stim check with the intention for us to spend that money, so I'm doing my duty and spending it on a Disney vacation :rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2 So there you go!

Secondly, my season pass holding friend - are you guys going in May. It would be cool if were were there at the same time! I told DH that Epcot is one of the places I want to go. His response about dinner planning - as long as we have that one where the girl is almost in the bikini with the "I dream of Jeannie" pants. JASMINE - men! :rotfl2: :lmao:

I think that's a good deal, plus you'll probably pay $10-15 to have it altered. I'm sure it could be done, but I'd wait until closer to the time you leave to make sure it fits. I agree that Snow White is Snow White though. I think I read that the new costume has a lace collar or something? Sometimes I think the costumes are too fancy, instead of just following the movie. DD's Belle dress was nothing like the gown Belle wore. It was more yellow than gold, but it was very comfy, no scratchy material. That seems to be the biggest complaint in those princess dresses. There is a beautiful pink Sleeping Beauty dress on www.disneyshopping.com that I wish Ally would have chosen.

That would be so great. I was just reading that the Cheerleaders and Football players are going to be there starting the 7th. So we may leave earlier in the week. Do you know if good codes come out? I am going to plan for my sister to go to BBB I know she is 14 but I think she would just love it.

We are in the same situation. We had plans on redoing the entire kitchen and adding a new bath. Now there is no way. DH's father is not doing so well and they are in Italy (where they live) and DH might have to go there for a little while which is a problem since he is the only one working now. The only other option is for them to come here and stay with us. I hate that idea because they are not very nice to me and they are very rude.

Oh yes - no problems. One I took the Tums that night, I was feeling much better w/in a couple of hours. I really think it was something I ate.
