Badookie's 1 today:cheer2:

We just had his pictures done. I can't believe it.
Kara your trip looked like the crowds were great. I am glad you liked POP maybe it was just too busy for us?

Here are a few pics

Happy Birthday Badookie!!!!
Jillian - he is just too "pretty!!!" I mean look at that beautiful hair! What a doll baby!!! Is the party this weekend???

So here's where my household is right now.

Me - in the last 24 hours I've worked 19 hours at 2 different jobs. 4 hours of sleep and 1 hour of watching DD8 at her oftball game.

DH - Umpiring the high school baseball game and of course didn't get his day off this week again!

DD8 - after mouthing off to me in the car about where to go for dinner, ended up with a Big Mac and no friends over after dinner.

DD5 - cried when I told her they couldn't go outside, so I gave in with the condition that they HAD to come in when I called them at 7:30pm for tubs. 7:30pm comes and I shout out for them to come in. Well this one thinks she's all that and says, "NO". Yeah, oh no you didn't! As I slowly put my shoes on as not to kill the child with my laser beam eyes, she quickly runs with her sister to the door. So now she's crying in her room "I want to take a shower, but you won't let me." Yes I will let you after DD8 has her turn and after I'm done being angry with you.

So now DH is home so I'm going to bed. I'm sorry to vent to everyone but it's been a tough night.

Tina - so sorry for your crappy day yesterday! I'm going through the same thing right now with DD7 going on 17! This whole attitude started about the time we moved to FL - we were giving in on everything since she had to go through leaving her school, friends, etc. Don't know why we did that because she adjusts so well, but now she's just a little witch sometimes! DH's cousin in Orlando said to DD, "You remind me of your aunt Kimmie." :scared1: That would be BSIL!

Just this morning DH asked Ally (that is MY DD!) if she brushed her teeth. Sigh, "yes!" She lied. So I asked her later and she said, sigh (she's getting good at this!), "Daddy asked me too....." That was her answer! And she still hadn't done it! :headache:

Kara, Love your stories - I can't believe your BSIL!

Yeah, you got her name/title right!!!!! :rotfl2:

 i just realized that my previous post may have given some vinegar filled person a mental note. :rotfl2:

I will not use my vinegar filled comments on YOU, Mildred!

Speaking of names, my sister's name is Kami, and like you Cammie, nobody ever gets it right. As Kara, I mostly get Karen and I just go with it. But I've been Carol, Carla, and Tara a lot too. And never EVER does it get spelled with a "K" - always Cara.

When DD was born, we had a heck of a time picking a name. We didn't want to know the sex so we just picked out two names. If it was a boy it would have been Aaron Tripp and if a girl...... DH didn't like any names I came up with. I really wanted Karenna or Kaitlyn. Nope, he hated them. Then when we agreed on Allison, I wanted to spell it "different." I said either Alison or Allyson. So there we are in the hospital and the birth certificate is sitting on the table waiting for me to fill it out. We still haven't come to an agreement on the spelling. So I pick up the pen and write in Allyson Lynn (Lynn is the middle name of my mom and MIL so that worked perfectly!). DH looks at me like, why do you get to pick the spelling? I told him that when we built our house I wanted blue shutters and he wanted green - we got green. So it was my turn to make the decision!!! :rotfl2:

oh - and

:woohoo: IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!! :woohoo:

Tessa

Tessa - Happy Birthday to you!!!!!

Gonna try to finish my trip report today - I should have waited until I got the photopass cd back - there are so many great pics on there. Oh well, guess I'll just have to bore the heck out of my CFWW buds with them!!!!

Off to get some work done this morning.

KARAJEBOO - "Tina - so sorry for your crappy day yesterday! I'm going through the same thing right now with DD7 going on 17! We went through the lying phase awhile ago, but I think we're done with it. Last night DD8 and I had a big fight about going to bed - apparently the witching hour! - so I told her no softball game tomorrow, which lead to intense crying. Well go to bed and earn a chance to go. I'm not tired. Right, twenty minutes later you were fast asleep?:scared1: Why do they have to fight!! Then this morning she shows up wearing her softball uniform? WHY??

I hope the rain holds off today I'm going to mow the lawn for DH. Only if I don't fall back to sleep on the couch. I'm still trying to catch up from the last few days of no sleep.

The good news is today is my last day at Cracker Barrel!!! Finally after 4 years the terror of the last 6 months with a horrible manager will end!! :dance3: :cheer2:

How funny - I just read that someone posted that last week the crowds and heat last week were "worse than in the summer." Not likely! It's funny how people see things so differently. I mean, there was virtually no humidity last week (until Friday or Saturday) and that is what makes FL heat so bad! And waiting 15 minutes standby for TOT, TT or any of the major attractions in the middle of the day??? I can't imagine that being worse than summer when school is out! But I have honestly never been in the summer (and I don't think I'll EVER attempt that either!). And now with our new handy dandy season passes.......

Tina - good for you for getting out of a bad situation at work! Enjoy!!!

We're lucky that we have never had an issue with Ally going to bed. She was a great napper, and even now at 7 yrs old, she still voluntarily takes naps on the weekends. Which means that mommy gets a nap too! Even at night, if we're letting her stay up for some reason, she'll just walk up and give us kisses and tell us that she's tired and going to bed. Weird, I know!

I may have to break down and cut the grass today for DH, too. I did it all the time in SC cause we had a much larger yard and a riding mower. Now we have a postage stamp lot (gotta love Florida!) and a push mower, which I've never even attempted to start. But his hand is all swollen now, he has it wrapped in an ace bandage, and won't go to a dr. "It'll be fine." WTH??? Men just drive me nuts sometimes! Meanwhile, I'm scared to death to cut the grass cause who knows what could be slithering around out there!

Happy Birthday Tina!!

Kara we thought of you when we were BBQ in Palm Beach. A snake came out of the shrubs. Our friends weren't even worried about it. I of course did my best freak out. haha. Too many insects and bugs for me.

I get Lori all the time with the name of Laura so I completely understand where you are coming from Tori ( oh mean lorrie :) ) How can a person mess up a name. Drives me nuts, well that isn't far to go.

Off to make the summer to do list. I've got the bug to move again. I always get it every spring. I just think next year will be the time to do it. We'll keep Beth at her school because it is a private one and borders won't matter. She just needs more friends in her own neighborhood to play with. I feel really bad for her somedays. She just looks at me and says I want to play with someone today. Then I get on the phone and have to schedule a playdate Oh if she could just go outside and meet her friends and play. I just need to get the house in tip top shape. Now if I could only stick to my guns about it. We were going to move 2 yrs ago. I got cold feet about leaving my neighbors. (glad I did because I really didn't like the house we found)

Laura, is your daughter in 1st grade, too?

As for moving, it's the "getting the house in order" that totally sucks! And then having to keep it "perfect" in case a showing is scheduled. And Ally was never the problem - it was Jeff!!!! When he moved to FL 6 months before we did, my house always looked like a model home, well, minus the fabulous decor! :rotfl2:

Beth is in Kindergarden this year. I know what you mean about the house. I could have killed Tim time and again for messing it up before a showing. I think once we really decide to sell I will have a stager come in and help me make the fabulous decor choices

I think a stager could make all the difference in the world! I love watching those shows on HGTV! I'm like, now why didn't I think of that??? :rotfl: In fact, the agent that ended up selling our house had some wonderful ideas of his own! But then we moved so the house was empty. But he ended up selling it to a couple that found it during an open house. He literally "sold" it to them, but telling them all the things they could do to it. He was wonderful! I never thought it possible, but the right realtor really can make all the difference!

OK, so BSIL was supposed to add borders and autographs to all their own photopass pics, right? Well she emails me this morning that she thinks she's got them all done, but wants me to check cause she couldn't do anymore last night (and I want to get this ordered today). I'm only on Day 3 and I've already done 22 more for them!!!! What was she thinking?

Cammie - thanx for the Sawyer tip on Jimmy Kimmel tonight - better get TIVO set up cause I can't make that late night! I'm wondering if I'll be able to make Lost tonight! I think it has taken about 4 days for last week to catch up to me - I'm sooooo tired right now!

TIVO ALERT! TIVO ALERT! TIVO ALERT!

Kara - Our man Sawyer is on Jimmy Kimmel tonite! Looks like he'll also be getting some airtime on tonite's Lost , but it's nice to see him as himself!

I need to play catch up and read the last posts, so forgive me but haven't read them yet...

1 - took DS to the dr today. Failed his vision screening. This wasn't too much of a shock to me. DH & I both wear glasses and have since childhood. DS was on the porch of CP at Disney and couldn't see the program going on at the castle so I suspected then he might have a distance issue. I am currently researching the 3 names they recommend.

We did shots today. I had to hold him down while he begged, PLEASE STOP THEM MOMMY. Not a good day. :sad2: :sad1:

2- Negotiated in to DH going to Disney next May  I talked to DS ped today about if we should hold him back a year or let him go through. He sides with holding them back a year so that was interesting. I guess that Oct could be now an option since we may not have K to worry about, but just Pre-K :rolleyes1 ANYWAY, got DH to agree so we are going! YAY!

I'll catch up later. I'm trying to see if one of the drs they recommend specializes in pediatrics. One does surgeries, which makes me nervous they might be too agressive.

Catch up later!

Good luck with this! I think they make the cutest glasses for kids now, too!

I hate this! I really wish the nurse would be the "bad guy" and hold Ally down. The look in her eyes makes me feel like a traitor!

Ya know I'm kidding with your name! You just made it too easy for me! :rotfl2: Actually, I always found the spelliing Lorrie very pretty - isn't that how Lorrie Morgan spells it? The country singer?

Check this out too Lilia Imean LuLu Imean Loreda....
I mean U2ShouldB4Disney..........
Thanks, but did you notice that she still had her full name showing up. I think I'm doomed. I'm not going to get a new one, so I may find out what bag of tricks Cammie has!

:woohoo: IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!! :woohoo:
 :cheer2: :rockband: party: :bday: :jumping1: :drinking1 Tessa, Happy Birthday!!!!!

Re: your screen name. If you can't change it, I know one thing that can save you trouble. You don't have to log in and out of the Dis. I stay logged on; when I turn my computer on in the a.m and go to this site, I'm in. Just a little tip.
Oh yeah. I'd be up for that one!

[BJust this morning DH asked Ally (that is MY DD!) if she brushed her teeth. Sigh, "yes!" She lied. So I asked her later and she said, sigh (she's getting good at this!), "Daddy asked me too....." That was her answer! And she still hadn't done it! :headache:

.
I battle DH over the SAME THING. DId you brush Nicolas' teeth. He'll say yes. I ask DS and NO HE DIDN"T. WTH???? He is 4 yrs old. He needs help. Yeah, there are more fun things to do with your time, but this is life. It has to be done! MEN :confused3

Tina - Congrats on the last day!!!! :cheer2:

I thought they weren't that bad when we were there. Then I saw your pictures and realized how packed it was :lmao: ! It's all in how you look at it!

We live in a great neighborhood with lovely neighbors. We get together on holidays and have picnics together. But no boys Nicolas' age. All girls :sad2: I would love for him to have a little boy nearby to play with. I keep hoping one will move in to the are. I'm not moving from this house unless we move to a different city. :rotfl:

BSIL :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Cracks me up! Well, I have to go spend my weekend with DABIL and DASIL! :rotfl2: I'm sure you can figure that one out too!

Ya know I'm kidding with your name! You just made it too easy for me! :rotfl2: Actually, I always found the spelliing Lorrie very pretty - isn't that how Lorrie Morgan spells it? The country singer?
Yes. She spells it the same and I think we are the only two people on earth who do! I sware if someone ever got it right, I'd fall out! Now DS has the same problem with Nicolas. It is the spanish spelling and everyone always throws that "H" in there. Thus my daughters name... Mia. Thought, we'll no one will ever screw that one up. UHHH... she gets called Maya all the time! :headache:

As for me, in effort to keep Connie, Carrie, Cammie's head from spinning, why not keep it at Renee. You know, not once has anyone ever messed that one up! I LOVE that about it - very simple. But whichever. I don't care. I know who you are talking about if I see Lorrie, Renee or Mildred.... thanks Kimmie - I mean Kara :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I just ordered my photopass cd!!! :cool1: Hopefully I'll have it early next week so I can post away!!!

Anyone up for DP tomorrow night?

i'd love to do non-drunk work posting. I'll be able to cram a lot into 15 min.. The work police have now set up tracking on internet usage during non break times. They will let you go on the spot now. They (the work police) are getting really bad. I know the company is in tough shape but giving a little leeway would go along way with employee morale. Instead they are going hard core. Really smart idea when you have a hiring freeze and we are under staffed as is. Sorry. I just let that out. I am very frustrated with work right now. I thought Disney would help get me out of that but I guess not. I think my days may be numbered there. I just can't leave until I have something new. Guess I'd better keep my eyes open....

Laura, I'm sorry to hear that! I agree that being so strict is horrible for morale. At my old company, the owner was real strict about workplace chit chat between 8-8:30 (when the phones came on). I don't know why it bugged him so much, but I was the only one who could talk to him about stuff like that. He was very "reactive" and would just set a new policy on a whim. I could usually get him to back off, but it was the worst part of my job, dealing with him.

I used to manage a restaurant and I was miserable (anyone ever eat at a Melting Pot fondue restuarant?) with the ownership. We went to WDW for our honeymoon, and I cried like a baby walking from Epcot back to Boardwalk, cause I was so dreading going back to work. Luckily, when we got home I had a message on my answering machine offering me a new job!!!

Hang in there girl - something will turn for you! :flower3:

Laura - :thanks: the post card came today and Nicolas was over the moon! It couldnt' have had better timing, after the morning we had with the shots! He was so excited to get the card. He was thrilled too that people were excited about seeing Mia too - he really wanted her to be there! So the post card was a smash hit - and I got to say "We'll be going next year!" so it was like all the stars lined up - thanks so much for doing that for us!!! So Sweet! I'm sorry that work stinks. I remember those days. Maybe something new/better will come up!

Kara - :rotfl2: :rotfl2: You know I HAD to do that. You know if the shoe was on the other foot, you couldn't resist such an easy target either. So take that from Mildred! :rotfl2:

Cammie - I've thought of you often and always forget when it gets posting time. How is the stomach burning going? Feeling better?

Everyone else - :wave2: hope you are doing fine!
