We are but if a good code comes out I might stay at CR I will tell DH it is for my Birthday 12/22 and christmas I know this would work!

House maint. stinks!

Does anyone know of a better time to go? We would like to be able to walk onto the rides if this is ever possible.

.

And, to top it off, everytime the girls come back from a weekend at Dad's, I have to hear about the latest enhancements he's had done at his house: stereo surround sound in the living room; turned basement into workout room; re-did their master bath. And did I mention ....... he's leaving tonite for a 2 week European vacation -- 3 months after his 1 week Cayman Island vacation. Nice, huh? Seriously, I'll choose my week in WDW with the girls anytime but it just gets my goat that he can even afford to do things like that! Ok - my jealous rant is over. I know I'm very fortunate - so many others out there have it much worse. Perspective, Cammie.
I had to walk away and come back to this one after having some pretty nasty conversations in my head about it. So here is my censored 2 cents...

Dear, your AHEH makes me  ! Honestly though, I think I feel pitty for that man. He had one heck of a woman - strong, funny, responsible, and from what I have read with DD's, very loving and giving. I cannot believe that he has done better for himself, so the fact that some of the things that he is doing makes you jealous, well - it p****** me off, quite honestly! All I can say is I'm certain that those times you & your girls are at the world mean more to them than the sound system he has at his house and all the trips he is taking (sans the girls)! I'm not a spiteful person, by any means, but if that man gets an upset tummy on his vacation my feelings wouldn't be hurt in the least! :snooty: :rolleyes1

Rant away anytime. God knows, you deserve to!

OK, you know my love of May! We only used 4 FPs all week cause the lines for the big attractions were only 10-20 minutes standby. And my sis has been in mid-late January and she walked on just about everything. But she said there were several attractions closed duiring that time, I guess they close for updating and maintenance during less busy times. Also, I've heard that October is really good!

Whew! You go girl!!!! And .... yeah, what she said!!! :thumbsup2

HAs anyone been during the summer? As in July? People who live here say the crowds are really low during this time because people go either right after schools let out or right before they start up again? I can't imagine Disney being slow in July??? :confused3 Doesn't really matter cause our passes are blacked out from mid-June to mid-August, 2 weeks over spring break, and the week between Christmas and New Years. All times that I wouldn't even DREAM of setting foot in Disney. But I've heard that late August is slow, but VERY hot and humid!

I have no personal experience, but i have a friend who goes the first or second week in August each year. Her photos are always glistening. She has two younger DD's too, and they are fair skinned/red head - I feel terribly for them when I see those photos. She goes and stays all day - freezes bottled water, and it it is hot by 5 pm - that is it. Just not nice thoughts of how that trip would be. Maybe I'm jaded, but I think that heat there would not make it desirable for me. August is our hottest month here, and we get humid but nothing like FL. To be out in 100 degree weather all day - :scared:

anyone notice that if I control my hand to mouth reflex this weekend I might crack the 10 lb lost mark? :woohoo:

You can do it Renee!!!! I don't know if you have anywhere to walk in your neighborhood, but I've found that a good brisk walk in the evenings has done wonders for me. Plus, it allows me some "alone" time. Now that it's hot here and the slithering things are out, I'm stuck back on the elliptical in my house (cause I'm too darn lazy to go to the fitness center!). Of course, I could just head back to Disney.....:rolleyes1

Seriously, if I had eaten better there, I'll bet I could have lost 5 lbs. I ate huge dinners and lunches, including desserts, and still lost 1/2 lb. I may try that in September. What am I saying???? I'm eating at Flying Fish, Chefs de France, and Tutto Italia???? AND DH and I were commenting that we didn't even make it into the bakery in France last week, OR get our school bread in Norway.... we have to make up for a lot of lost snacks last week!!!!

Thanks for the cheerleeding! I actually did SITUPS this week! :scared: We've had rain most days this week. I've wanted to get out and walk with the kids. I know I need to. Exercise just isn't second nature to me. Something I have to work at. Just like my love of eating out!

As for your date decisions. I'm there sister. May or Oct. Everyone EVERYONE says Oct. I want to go in May because it is closer. Your photos honestly looked pretty empty. With the kids, we'd leave mid day for a break - and I'm a little worried Oct might be too cool for that. Carlos is from Puerto Rico originally, so you know, heat doesn't bother him at all. It's the kids I worry about.

Great pics, Laura! I am confused - did Katherine go with you - I don't see her in the pics :confused3

Nope Katherine stayed home. I just couldn't resist posting that one with the rest of the pics.

Kara - can you relink me to your food TR? I wanted to check out what you said about Garden Grill. That is one of the ones I want to add this time - depending on what you say! Next time I'm so up for CP, CM & Ohana. And the Princess One in Epcot for DH, I mean DD. :lmao:

Holy Smokes! Kara is actually logged off right now. She must be having a late liquid lunch at her Cabana by the pool! :rotfl2:

What are you talking about??? I'm not logged off! Why, that would be totally unDIS of me! :rotfl2:

Here's my dining review http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1822327

We really liked the character interaction here, I think because the tables are in single rows, hard to explain, but there are only tables on 2 sides of you, so there's a lot more room? Also, I'd recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe, too. It's a lot of fun! And our server read my report and replied!!! I actually left her an extra tip on top of the 18%. FIL thought that was "stupid" but Jeff and I have been there, done that, so we always try to tip 20% unless the server is just flat our rude.

Jeff just got home (I so like this better than saying DH) and came into my office with his sad face, cause I have on Live365 and they were playing the Epcot entrance music. Love it! I also told him, Renee, that you said it was our "patriotic" duty to spend our tax stimulus check and that Disney is as good a place as any! I got this  from him! :rotfl2:

Looks like Laura added to her TR so off to read that and then our outdoor kitchen dude should be here with the final quote - fingers crossed!

Cammie- I would like to be able to walk onto the rides. Did you find this possible? Or should I wait until Jan to go?

I am from Divorced parents and We had the same problem Dad and Step mom could vacay and my mother and stepdad struggled because they had to take in my cousin and raise her too. My dad only paid 65 dollars a week Child support and my DM couldn't take him to court she couldn't afford it.

Well, in Dec., no, I couldn't walk on rides; but I can't say there were many 60 minute plus waits either. And, I have to add, I know I don't "do" the parks the right way. With Amanda, I just move a lot slower; we typically don't get into a park before 10:30 most days. I don't think Dec. has the huge crowds like spring break, but the place sure isn't empty. Now as for Jan - two things: it's historically VERY COLD; and Disney schedules ALOT of ride refurbs. during this time - many popular rides could be closed.

As for my divorce: in the eyes of the court, my ex is giving me more than a fair share. I do get a huge percentage of his salary, but it's what's needed to pay the bills that keep this house running. We both agreed I needed to stay here to take care of Amanda; we had alot of work done in 2001 - put in wheelchair ramp and an accessible bathroom; so, yeah - he's a good guy because he's keeping me in this house and that's where all the money goes! In the meantime, new wifey makes ALOT of money! I know, in the end, I am the "richer" one because I have a great bond with my girls and a clear conscience - sometime I just need to b**** about it! Thanks for letting me!

You're so funny, Renee! I think I need you as my life coach - give me daily pep talks. Your posts always make me feel good about myself. Thanks!

I think if your passes are blacked out for the middle of summer it's because it's very crowded; look at the other black out dates - all during busy times. I know the week around 4th of July is PACKED also.

Good for you! You can do it!:cheer2: but..... wait for after drunk posting tonite!

1st. What do I have to do so I don't have to log in 5000 times a day? I sware, even though I have the site up ever so often it kicks me out. Is that a hint? :confused3

2nd. :rolleyes1 I can't remember... :rotfl2: :lmao: so like me. It will come to me again, I hope!

Of course I'm winning on a dress now. I decided I really want the OTHER one, so I will win this one! Watch! :sad2:

Oh, I remember. Since Mia will be 24 months - which princess meal? I'm thinking you all swayed me to the one in EPCOT. So which rest. is that again?

I don't know what I've done to stay logged in. I just logged in the first day - and never logged out. I shut my computer down every night; in the am, I turn it back on, come here and I'm logged in - and it says the date and time when I last visited.

Wish I had another princess dress here to give you. I know we had a Snow White one but it's gone now. By the time Lauren turned six, it was all about Jasmine (she loved wearing a belly shirt!)

The Princess meal in Epcot is at Norway. It is slightly cheaper than CRT,but IMO, it's nice to experience a meal in the castle at least once. With Mia only being two when you go, you wouldn't have to pay for her - would be a little cheaper that way.

As for my divorce: in the eyes of the court, my ex is giving me more than a fair share.

Well, I'm putting on my Judge Judy hat and saying "GOOD! He's their dad. That is what dad's do. They should provide a roof for their kids!"

I'm glad that you do feel that way - but I still pity him and feel that he really messed himself over in the deal!

Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking I could really go for a few good strong drinks tonight. I have to go to my MILs tomorrow for the day. :scared: Top it off, DH thinks his DB has a crush on me - sad thing is now that he said that, I think he might be right! :scared1: So I'd love a few good drinks - probably tonight and tomorrow night too - but man that is instant weight for me! :sad2:

It's funny, I can't remember what Nicolas was like at 2. I mean, I remember that year we went to the beach for the first time with him and it was fun, but I don't remember if he was "that" in to things or what. Would the castle be exciting at that age - if so I'd be in for whatever!

Funny story with Mia and Snow. We were browsing the Disney Store - she couldn't have been more than 6 months max - she snagged her off the shelf when I wasn't looking! I looked down in the stroller and there she is with the Snow White rag doll, chewing on her shoes! She has loved her ever since. Yesterday, I got her that little pincess plastic figure set since she is always trying to play with Nicolas' little toys - well, again, Snow White. I have no idea what the deal is but for a long time now, she just loves her!

Wait - so your BIL has a crush on you?:scared1:
That is actually a good drunk posting story! ha ha.

He has always been the odd one out in the family - and he and I have talked - mostly around their BABY. My niece is about 6 months now. He & DSIL have major issues - like live in seperate rooms, have their own BF/ GF - really wierd. He calls me and talks for hours some times and tells me what a magnet he is for women - really odd stuff. DH seriously thinks there is an issue and we laugh about it because DH knows there is no way on my end - but ever since then, I've not been real excited about talking to him! :scared:

I'm pasting in this funny little email. The gist is decide based on reading these things if you are more like Martha or Maxine

Martha:
Cure for headaches: take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

Maxine
Take a lime, mix it with tequila, chill and drink! 'All' your pains go away.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2

That's so cute! Snow White has always been Amanda's favorite too. I think it's the bright contrasting colors of her dress, the black hair and the red lipstick - very visually appealing for her! And, all the Snow Whites we've met have been sooo sweet. You're definitely going to want to hit Epcot then; you can see Snow White at the Norway Princess meal AND see her with Dopey in Germany.
