Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

5 months from today!!!! It can't get here fast enough for me. :cool1: :dance3: :yay:

Good afternoon, fellow cruisers

We sail 5 months from today

You can click on this link http://livinonafantasy.yolasite.com/ and at the top of the page it has the FE link with who is signed up so far. Hope this helps.

That link is out of date. That was the web page that Michelle created. When I get back from WDW, I'll create a new web page that will include the updated info. Right now there are 13 families in on the FE.

Tinkerbell, thinking of you! I hope things work themselves out quickly and smoothly!

Gometros - have a great time in WDW! I'm jealous!

Gometros (I think) shared that there will be 1 other cruise ship in Cozumel. According to http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php, we will be the only ship in Grand Cayman on October 1. I could only find a Costa Maya calendar for the current month, but since there are only 6 cruise ships scheduled for all of May, I'm guessing it is a small/less-used port and we have a good chance of being the only ship there, too?

Starting to get more serious about shore excursion planning... :cool1:

Is anyone else not planning any excursions? Honestly we haven't seen anything we really want to do. We will get off the ship and wander around a bit, but I'm also looking forward to getting back on the ship and hanging out at the adult pool.

We're not really looking at excursions, just places to hang out at a beach for the day. I was considering staying on the ship in Costa Maya since it's such a short port day, but we might even go to a beach there too.

The thing I'm not doing is waking up super early to sit on a bus for an hour or more (each way), I can do that at home when going to work! :)

We are beginning to make our port day plans. We are planning to book on our own on Grand Cayman. We used Stingray Sailing in 2009 and loved them and plan to do that again. Cozumel, we will probably just go to Paradise Beach for a day of beach fun. Costa Maya I think we are going to do the Dolphin swim through Disney. I don't think we will plan anything for Castaway Cay, just relaxing.

I am currently thinking of...
Grand Cayman: Stingray City Snorkel (DCL)
Cozumel: Cozumel Ruins and Beach Tour (DCL)
Costa Maya: hanging out/swimming/shopping at the port
Castaway Cay: renting snorkel equipment and floats

I would love to try some other, much cheaper tour companies, but DH is adamant about DCL tours when DS is involved! :lovestruc

I haven't actually mentioned these ideas to anyone else in my party, so we'll see! ;)

We're back from Disneyworld. Had a great time. It was hot, but not unbearably so and the crowds were pretty manageable. We got to MK around 2:00 on Thursday and had almost everything accomplished, except for the old Fantasyland, in four hours. Most of the waits were the time it took us to walk to the loading area. We lucked out on Splash Mountain, when some young adults gave us their fastpasses they couldn't use.

My daughter did the American Idol Experience on Friday and while she didn't make it to the final show, she obviously was a hit as people kept coming up to her during the day and commented on how much they love her performance. We even had to young girls run over to us in IOA on Sunday, saying they saw the show.

Can't wait to go back in September.

As far as excursions go, I think we're going to enjoy the ship in Grand Cayman, I want to do Mayan ruins in Costa Maya, just not sure which excursion. On Cozumel, we're going to Paradise Beach.

I'm also curious if there are any other couples interested in sharing a Cabana? I think I'd like to do it, but it's too much if we do it by ourselves.

Have been busy so haven't had a chance to check up on what's been going here ... but welcome back! When r you going to WDW in Sept? Although I've been 'away' from DIS for quite a while ... in the past week, I've finalized our flights, added a stay at the Art of Animation before our 1 week stay at POR before our B2B cruises, bought tickets for the Pirates and Pals cruise and MNSSHP, added 4 nights after our cruises to do Universal, booked car rentals ... and so forth ...

The next thing to do is spend some time getting our FE matters together!

Tinkerbell ... we are so sorry to hear the news. Life can be so unfair - we hope that things do get better for yourself and your DH and want to send some pixiedust: your way -

We're staying at the Boardwalk two nights prior to the cruise, then go back for four days post-cruise.

I just want to say thank you to all of you for the support and well wishes you ave sent our way after what happened. As of right now we are ok. He is currently getting unemployment and it's enough to keep us going for a while with my income. We still plan on taking the cruise and enjoying every minute. We will not let this get us down!!! Again, my heartfelt and most sincere thanks to all of you. I know I can always count on fellow Disers to be there for me. :grouphug:

I'm glad to hear that you can still make it. It's heartbreaking to delay or cancel anything that you've saved & planned for, for so long. We had to delay this cruise a whole year because of employment issues. Barring extreme circumstances, we do not expect to delay this cruise again. :beach:

:upsidedowI filled out the request to participate in the FE exchange but I haven't seen my name on the list. PLEASE, don't leave me out!
