Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

I just want to say thank you to all of you for the support and well wishes you ave sent our way after what happened. As of right now we are ok. He is currently getting unemployment and it's enough to keep us going for a while with my income. We still plan on taking the cruise and enjoying every minute. We will not let this get us down!!! Again, my heartfelt and most sincere thanks to all of you. I know I can always count on fellow Disers to be there for me. :grouphug:

I will tell you that in 2001, I got laid off on Veteran's Day and we had a cruise planned for the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We decided to go ahead with it anyway and it was the best decision we made. It helped me recharge my batteries and I came back from the trip more focused than ever.

:upsidedowI filled out the request to participate in the FE exchange but I haven't seen my name on the list. PLEASE, don't leave me out!

I have to humbly apologize. You are not seeing the up to date list, since the web page in the first post points to the old spreadsheet. I've been so darned busy on the weekends, since my son plays professional ultimate and every Saturday is spent traveling two hours each way to their home games in New Britain CT. I'm also the official photographer for the team, so I have to come home and go through everything and post them. With the long weekend coming up, I'll try to put something together.

Our biggest decision is what to do with those four days. We decided not to renew our APs, since this coming year will probably be a low WDW visit year with our trip to Alaska planned. We still have unused tickets with two days on them. So either we add two days, or we just use Friday before as a chill/pool day and if the weather cooperates, maybe go to one of the water parks during one of the three days after we get back.

My daughter & I have questions about the FE exchange. Do we give one gift, one time? :scratchin Or, do we give little gifts every day? :confused3 Or, do we just go with whatever floats our boat?::yes::

Pretty much whatever you feel like :) Mostly though I've seen people give out something (either one per stateroom or one per person) once.

Thanks for the info, Tania.:thumbsup2. There are only 128 more days til we set sail...I better get started making my FE:eek:

Wow! It has been a long time since I last posted on this thread. Our party of 7 adults is still going. I have been quite remiss on any planning for this trip. I just received an email the other day from DCL saying that we could start making reservations for excursions, Palo, etc on June 16th. YIKES! I better get busy.

Glad you brought that up. I assume by June 16th, that means Friday night at midnight. I have a bit of a challenge, since I'll be in Columbia MD at a Beach Boys concert with my DC-based daughter. I'm staying at a hotel in the area before heading home in the morning. So I'll have to bring my laptop with me so that I can log on and make whatever reservations I need to make. Then I have to be up at 5:00am to make the long drive back to NY to make my son's 1:00 game in New Britain CT. And that night my other daughter is giving a concert with a trio she has been singing with. It's going to be a busy two days!

Good afternoon and hope you all had a restful Memorial Day weekend

We sail 4 months from today

Yes, it will be very early Saturday morning. Now that is for Gold Members. If anyone is Platinum, they can begin the 1st. Or silver members will have to wait another 15 days after the 16th. I think it is:

Platinum Member - June 1
Gold Member - June 16
Silver Member - July 1
First Time To Sail - July 16

Does anyone know if I can make reservations for our entire party at Remy on the 16th? We have 4 cabins and everyone has a different status.

I can't believe it is only 4 months to go. We booked back in October so it has been 7 or so months since then. Wow! time really flies.

Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. :cheer2:

Shoot, I know that's been asked before, but I forget the answer. I suggest asking in the Cruise forum.

I think I read about that this morning. Answer is no, not until a person in the cabin is eligible to book. I have a feeling a lot of people will be going to Palo/Remy as soon as they board to get/change reservations. Good luck to those of you trying. Sounds like there is usually spots left when boarding. Just go there first.

Thanks! Yes, we have to wait till 75 days to make the reservation. So I have a feeling we will be trying to get reservations onboard. I doubt there will be a reservation for 7 at Palo or Remy at 75 days out.

If you can find a few more people, you should be able to get the semi-private room at Palo, I believe its 10 or 12 for the table.

Morning all! :wave2: We are so excited our sail dates is now less then 4 months away. It has been long awaited for us, we planned this cruise in 2009 and book it as soon as bookings were open.
Now that we are done with school for the summer I would really like to work on my FE gifts. Is there any was we can get a current list of FE participants?
Can't wait to see everyone in September, just 17 weeks to go!!! :cool1:

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I just signed up for the FE list so I thought I'd stop by this thread and say hi and introduce myself!

My name is Lindsay! My fiancé Chris and I booked this cruise for our honeymoon! Not only is it our first time on a DCL cruise, but it's our first cruise ever!!!!! I am so excited!!!!

A little bit about us... our wedding is September 22nd. So one week before our cruise! We live in Cary, NC... which is where we're getting married. I'm 26 and he's 27. He's a computer programmer. I currently work at a doggie daycare, but after the wedding I'm going to school to become a phlebotomist. We've been dating for 6 years, and we've lived together for the past 2 years. We went to the same high school and were in the same graduating class, but we never met each other! We didn't meet until college and started dating shortly after! We have 3 dogs. Our dog Rosie (Manchester Terrier mix) is my Maid Of Honor and our dogs Fernando (Pug) and Ray Ray (Chihuahua) are co-best men in the wedding! In 2009, Chris took me to WDW for the very first time, and I've been hooked ever since!

Here's a picture of us:

So yup, that's us in a nutshell! I look forward to getting to know all of you as we plan our cruises together!!!

Love the bridal party! At least you don't have to worry about them getting drunk and ruining the wedding :lmao:

Welcome to the group. You couldn't pick a better first cruise than to do it on DCL. My wife Judy and I were also married in September. Our anniversary is five days before your wedding. It's a great time of the year to get married.

Does anyone know if there will be an FE exchange? Will there be a list? It's getting closer and would like to plan FE gifts. :yay:
Thanks,

Barbara
