Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

i can't get that google document link to work :( i want to add my family's info! it will be our first cruise i'm super excited! i put our info up on here but haven't checked back and lots of pages have been added since...

I just tried the link too, even though I filled in my info already. Says the doc doesn't exist.

Sorry, guys, don't know what happened. This should fix it:

Who knows :)

On another topic...anyone going to try Remy this cruise? It's quite the add-on (I'd get the wine pairings too) and am not sure if it's something I'd like...and I'm pretty sure DH won't be into it. On the other hand, he's surprised me before...and it's comparable in price to a shore excursion.....hmmmm...

We're definitely going to try it. I've heard it compared to Victoria & Albert's and I loved our dining experience there. It'll be instead of Palo for dinner, but I'm still going to shoot for Palo brunch too.

We are not planning to try Remy, but are planning Palo for dinner on my birthday.

Good afternoon, fellow cruisers.

We sail 6 months from today

Has anyone kept up with all the changes on our roll call? I might have to start at the beginning to see who's still coming.:scared1:

Tania, I've never used hotwire or any of the others. You'll have to give me a crash course. The best price I've found is by getting the Hyatt gift certificate, which supposedly includes taxes. It's $145 + $6 S&H, so $151 total. Otherwise it's $152 + about $20 in taxes. I haven't ordered the certificate yet. I think you have to call the hotel first to make sure the date is available to use one.

Cute pics Wendy! Love the pirate outfits. I think our flight gets in about 6:30Friday night. Our daughter (TrojanJulez) and family are taking a redeye and will arrive about 6:30 Sat morning. Then they may crash in our room for a few hours, unless the get some sleep on the plane:rotfl2:. We're taking DCL transfers to the ship.

Hi,
I don't know if you have already gotten your reservations, but we have had good luck at Port Canaveral with the Country Inn and Suites on Astronaut Way. They have a cruise package. It ran about $160 with taxes etc when we booked several months ago. It includes a hot breakfast the morning you embark, shuttle to the port for each person in your party (you have to let them know this upfront and schedule the time to leave) and it includes free parking for the time you are gone and also free shuttle back to hotel when the trip is done. (You have to call them when you get your bags from the port and ready to leave) We also got hot cookies in the evening downstairs at the hotel desk the evening before. I am not sure if they do this all of the time or not. If you have several in your party, this may be a good thing to check. The only extra you would have is tipping those that transfer your bags to and from the port

Thanks,
Linda

We're still six months away from our cruise and we're already thinking ahead to our next trip. Judy and I just booked an Alaska cruise on Princess for next June. We looked into Disney, but it just didn't do the itinerary we wanted.

Here's wishing everyone a very Happy Easter and Passover.

How nice for you. Which Princess ship are you going on? Which itinerary? I've really enjoyed my cruises to Alaska.

Has anyone been to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel? I read through the thread on the main forum and it looks like something my family would like (one of my moms complaints about cruising is not having enough time on a beach :) )

If you're a drinker, it's a great place to be since their fee (I believe it's $49/pp) is an all you can drink and eat deal. It's a great beach, especially when there are a number of cruise ships in port that day, since they only take so many people. The good news is we will only be competing with one other ship that day, the Carnival Imagination. There are other alternatives if you don't want to spend that kind of money, like Paradise Beach and Mr. Sanchos.

I've been twice. But, I posted on that other thread too, so you should know my thoughts.

We'll likely be booking Nachi Cocum again for this trip.

Thanks Sandy and MisterOJ :) DH actually thought the price was quite reasonable, but he likes his drinks too  so I'm sure we'll all get our money's worth.

We'll be at Paradise Beach. As nice as Nachi Cocum sounds, neither of us are big enough drinkers to make it worth our while.

From what I am reading on this thread, quite a few people eat onshore too. We usually can find enough good food onboard ship to eat without the extra expense, but I am sure we aren't getting a feel for the culture by not trying different things at port.

At any rate, our bunch is really excited about the trip. There are 10 family and 3 friends with us this time. All our kids and grandkids and a friend of a family member.

I agree with you about the added expense, but when you spend a whole day away from the ship, such as an excursion or a trip to a beach, you may not have any choice. Plus, some people like to eat onshore to experience the local cuisine.

Hi,
I wondered if anyone that is signed up for this cruise is also going on the Wonder Panama Canal Dec 9th Cruise.. DH and I will be in our 60's by then . Would like to find some people on this cruise with common interests , so that we would have friends/acquaintances to talk to on the Panama Cruise.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda, I wish. I want to do a relo some day, but can't take that kind of time off of work right now. Maybe if I ever retire (which right now esems unlikely :rotfl: )

Gometros, Is the spreadsheet from post 1 still up to date? Is there a new link?

Our 3rd Disney Cruise is 160 days from now. I was looking for info about joining a Fish Extender gift exchange. I hope this is the right place. I hope I can find THIS place again, after I log out. I'm not so good at navigating the internet :(
