Live from the first MVMCP!!!!

Yep, this is what I'm thinking, too! Dwarves first, Belle/Beast, Cindy etc, Pooh and friends, and leave Mickey and Minnie and the princesses till closer to the end. I'm very interested to hear how long the lines are later.

We went 2nd night. We saw the lighting of the castle at 6:15 standing on the Liberty path & then hustled over to Dwarves line. We were probably 10th family in line & got through by about 7:15pm Based on the reports from the 1st night we saved Princesses until about 10:00pm - there was only a 10 minute wait at that point. They were GREAT - really spent some significant time with our group and I think we have some great photos. We made it out in plenty of time to grab a snack at Main Street Bakery & grabbed a good spot right on Main Street to watch the 2nd parade.

Cinderella & Prince & Tremaines were out at the stroller parking area near IASW.

Also, we found that CMs were really diligent in checking for wristbands - every store we entered we were checked and near Splash Mtn there was a line of CMs checking every person that walked by as well.

Worth every penny.

Well, I think you've convinced me we need to go in early November!

Do keep in mind, I'm guessing what you experienced was a low-ish crowd night, which makes a huge difference in the experience.

First night usually draws in a fair number, and Veteran's Day (especially on a Friday with no work the next day) really packs them in. You made a good call choosing the party in between! :thumbsup2

Party merchandise is only sold during the party.

The castle lighting is a short show that is IMHO one of the best bits of Disney magic. Just breathtaking. They do that every night though, so try to do it on a non-party night so you can get in the dwarf line early.

Perfect! :thumbsup2 I knew I wanted to be in dwarf line by 5:30 or 5:45 so I would miss it. I did not think about catching the castle lighting show on our second MK night. This way I will be sure to see it anyway! Thanks! :thumbsup2

Did you catch Wishes at 9:30 before you went to the princess line? I would like to save the princess line until later, but I want to see Wishes and the second parade. That is why I am asking you.
I am thinking we will try the princess line during the first parade but I am not sure how that will work. :confused3

We were at last nights party which was a sellout! Their were tons and tons of people but we arrived around 4:45 and were able to ride a lot of rides still throughout the night. Saw the first parade, found our seat about 40 min before the parade began. After the fireworks it did thin out some.

im gettin kinda worried, last years party were nowhere near selling out...whats going on? we will be there 12/5 through 12/12 should we buy our tickets now?

Any party in December can sell out. If you have your heart set on a certain one, buy your tickets as soon as possible.

If you'd rather NOT be at a party if it sells out, then wait and take your chances.

Curious about this too!

Curious about this too!

we went on 11-15. waited until the second parade until doing the mad dash to meet the characters. this trip the kiddies met more characters then ever!
Jack Sparrow is still my favorite.. and i missed Rapunzel and Flynn.. i'm still kicking myself over this...:sad2:

We were there on 11/18 and it was not sold out. The crowds were great. We were more about shows though than characters. The only characters we saw were Belle/Beast and Mickey and Minnie. I asked my daughter if she wanted to wait for the Princesses/Princes but she said no (posted 30 minutes at about 10:30, but probably shorter, Mickey/Minnie was 5) My daughter had an absolute blast at the Cosmic Ray's Dance Party!

We are attending the party on December 2nd.

I think we will try to hold out for the second parade, but want to make sure we see the MMY Castle show and Wishes.

Any advice as to where to try to watch these from, and when to get to that spot? My worry is that Main Street will be jammed with people who watched the first parade and stay. Will it loosen up after the parade passes?

You can get spots in Frontierland and Liberty Square 30 - 40 minutes before the parade.

We watched the first parade from Liberty Square, then moved to the hub for MMY and Wishes. Just don't make the mistake of standing behind Walt and Mickey like I did for MMY :rotfl:

On 11-15 I walked right up to a curb spot for the second parade only 25 minutes before it began! I was directly across the street from Country Bear Jamboree.
Best seats I've ever had :santa:

i hold my head in shame...
i did get a little ill from food i had earlier by the time Jack Sparrow perked me up she and Flynn were gone! :scared1:

doesn't this constitute for a return trip??? :thumbsup2

Now I'm confused. They're supposed to be out all night (sort of). Was it after 11:30?
