Live from the first MVMCP!!!!

For the Princesses and Princes, do they meet one after the other or is it just luck of the draw who you get?

Bad info...just confirmed no Perry all night

Just to confirm, no Perry ever or just that night? That's how they could have made P&F good for the party. Add Perry!

Yep, this is what I'm thinking, too! Dwarves first, Belle/Beast, Cindy etc, Pooh and friends, and leave Mickey and Minnie and the princesses till closer to the end. I'm very interested to hear how long the lines are later.

I'm thinking much the same thing for our party on the 30th except maybe Jack too. Can't wait!!

Ladies, Ladies!
I'll be sure to say hello to Eugene for you all on Friday. And Sunday. :lmao:

The popcorn buckets should be at any vendor selling popcorn. And the popcorn is uh-may-zing.

Any idea if you can buy just the bucket? I can't eat popcorn anymore and DD doesn't eat that kind.

I thought the crowd was very low last night, especially compared to the first MNSSHP we attended last year. I thought that crowd was MUCH higher.

Advertised times were until 11:30 for characters so it was not unexpected. I personally believe they should be out until midnight.

They seemed to have a lot of CMs out checking wristbands and they were doing a great job enforcing. People behind me at Capt Jack were told they had to have a wristband.

One point of my contention is Photopass. They had massive lines at 7:30 when I walked down Main to get to Storybook Princesses. Why? Because they were still allowing non-partygoers to get photos. When we were leaving right before midnight, Photopass stations were already closing down, including the closest one to the castle.

See that would make me upset:headache:. If someone is spending that much money to go to a hard ticket party. They need to clear out the day guests before the party starts otherwise of course they are going to dawdle on the way out and take pictures and see if they can check out the parade and crowd up Main Street. Since the party is only 5 hours then all of those hours should be exclusive and day guests shouldn't be in the lines for pictures, characters or anything else.

I was at the first MVMCP last night and was disappointed regarding the characters. They allowed day guests in to see the princesses up to 7pm so they were able to see the princes also. I was second in line and by time I got our was 720. Belle and beast didn't come out til 8pm even though the sign said 7. So were in line til after 8 for that. Once we got those pics, we headed over to Cinderella. We got there around 830 and we were told they were getting ready to go in til the top of the hour. So we skipped them to see the memories show, fireworks, and parade. We were told that Cinderella would be there after the parade so We rushed back and the line was already closed for the night (this is a little before 11p). The CM said they go in at 1130 and there were alot of people in line. There were maybe 10 people. For the price i paid for the party, I would never do it again. It was way to overcrowded and the main characters werent out all night. I understand that they need to switch out but when a character is out 45 mins every hour and close there line at 11, it's not worth it. I rather go to the MNSSHP. JMO
 Really they won't close the princess line to day guests until the party starts but they close the line an hour before the party ends to people paying the expensive ticket price. Talk about customer service. If they can let day guests in line up til the last minute they should the party guests as well. They are paying for it after all.:confused3

Are you going to the party on Dec 13th. My DD and I are going that night too Have any good tips for seeing the princesses?

Well, so far no. I was going to add another night just to hang out with my DIS friends! :cool1:

We bought a Mickey snowman bucket of popcorn on our way out of the MK on our last day last December. It helped ease the pain to eat popcorn as we went along....... back to the resort............. waiting for the ME........... waiting for the plane....... flying home.......

No princess roulette. At least once you make it through the line you should (barring an unusual circumstance) see Snow/Prince, Aurora/Philip and Rapunzel Flynn. The big issue seems to be just getting through that darn line. My go-to approach for long lines has always been to just line up really early. That seems to be a bad idea here because the line stays backed up with day guests well past 7.

See that would make me upset:headache:. If someone is spending that much money to go to a hard ticket party. They need to clear out the day guests before the party starts otherwise of course they are going to dawdle on the way out and take pictures and see if they can check out the parade and crowd up Main Street. Yep. That wouldn't make me happy either. This is NOT an EMH. At an EMH, they allow day guests to stay in the park and do whatever they want, they just can't do attractions. Hard ticketed parties have always been different. They have always required day guests to LEAVE at 7. They even refused to sell them merchandise in the shops after 7. :scared1: There is no way they should be clogging up photopass lines after 7.

The problem is they would sell it for $100 to limited guests the first year see people are willing to pay that and up thenumber of tickets for sale every year to make more.:rolleyes1

Yeah....... I figured. We do love Disney, but completely understand that sometimes the bean counters sure know how to spoil the magic.

Yep. that about covers it. And I don't get it. In the past, they've been FAR more respectful of the money people are paying for the party tickets. I just hope that if others encounter issues with this, they will write guest relations so they KNOW people notice and might not be as inclined to fork over the cash for tickets next time.

For some reason I imagine yours will at least be adorned with lovely fabrics and trimmings. :lmao:

LOL! I can't say you're not right though.......:rolleyes1

I think I have decided against it. The more I think about it, the stupider it sounds. Even if we had a guarantee that dd would see her Flynn...that's still a LOT of money to spend to get to hang out for a few minutes. He's likely to get a restraining order against us, lol.
I know it would mean the world to her and I'd give anything to see her little face light up....I just have to find some common sense. Somewhere.

Well, it sounds like that adult "sanity" thing has set in. What a bummer. It was sure fun to dream for a bit though, wasn't it?

Maybe we can catch up another time.

It probably would have been a lot easier if you hadn't seen his photo at all.

Now get get your letter ready. I'm more than happy to be a surrogate stalker for you...... errr..... your daughter! :lmao:

Nooo, he's not our Flynn. :rotfl: That guy in my avatar is our Flynn. My dd is convinced he is the REAL Flynn...there are no words for the crush she has on him, and how sweet he is...he was not friends with Flynn during the MNSSHPs but uh...we found him elsewhere. ;)

But for my dd to see him as *friends with Flynn* again is pretty much her life wish. And sadly. She won't. :sad2:

your dd has very good taste! whoa...FLYNN!:lovestruc

Hey everyone......... I've made such a stink about the Princess line mess that I thought I'd share this over here. Someone just posted on the other MVMCP thread the following:

Just some observations from yesterday (11/09) I was at MK for the day and I'm not sure if they are doing this during all MVMCP nights or it was just last night but the last Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It at 5:40pm was cut short about 10 min. also in the times guide it clearly states that Mickey, the Princesses in Town Square and Fairies meet and greets are from opening to 1 hour prior to closing (in this case 6pm) I went by Town Square Theater around 6:30pm after the Castle Lighting show and CM were turning regular guest without a wristband away, only guest with party wristbands were allowed to line up. I didn't ask the CM I just saw it happening.
Hope it helps your planning, I'll be attending the party on Nov. 29th.

Fingers crossed........ it looks as if sanity has perhaps prevailed. I hope anyone else attending with first hand experience will post it!

Dear mom2rtk,
Someday, I will send you my measurements and money and ask you to make me a Rapunzel dress.

Probably not, but the dresses you do for your daughter are just so amazing!!!!!!

Looking forward to the party in December. We are mainly going to see the Celebrate the Seasons Castle Stage Show (for personal reasons:thumbsup2) but now I find out that I can't miss the Castle Lighting Show as well on the night we attend.

Can anyone tell me exactly what time does that start? I know it is before the party and I am guessing it is around 6 p.m. but can someone tell me the exact start time?

The last time I was actually at Magic Kingdom in December was back in 2005 before they began with the Castle Lights. We actually went last year but was at Magic Kingdom for all of 2 minutes before we left:rotfl: But it was late in the evening and the castle had already been lit. ( i did manage to snap one shot of the castle from all the way back on main street at the entrance but I never got to see it up close).

The castle lighting show is at 6:15pm, they do stay on during the entire evening, only off for fireworks and the magic the memories and you.

OT, but Mom2rtk, you make all those dresses?!?!?!?! They are AMAZING! Your daughter is very lucky to have such a talented mom!

WHOOO HOOOO We are going on the 13th as well!! so glad to see they might be shoo'ing the day timers out, but I am going to MK for the whole day, then have a hard ticket for that night... how do I get my wristband? do I do it when I enter that morning?

Also, what is the memories show with the gingerbread castle covering?

thanks!

I know they are slightly different but when my family went to the MNSSHP on 10/30 I was really concerned about what would happen at Town Square Theatre with the Princess meet and greet. Well we lined up at about 6:15 and were the second ones in line. There was a line started over on the side outside the entrance to the line. At about 6:35 or 6:40ish they moved us into the waiting area and let us wait there in a separate line. Other guests were still going in to meet the Princesses up till 7, but at 7, maybe 7:05 we were taken into the room and were the second ones to meet them and were out of there by 7:10. So maybe that night was just a really good night, who knows.

Sorry if this has been asked already but can you tell me the time of the first castle show, first parade and the time of the fireworks? Also, did I read it right that if you are not apaying guest for the party they don't kick you out but you cannot do any attractions?
Thanks all....

You're confusing this with EMH where that is true. Without a wristband you can't even use the bathroom on party night.

Most people aren't there for the attractions on party nights. Many are there only to see the parade, fireworks and shows.
