I find it kind of funny about the Christmas party and not even being able to use the bathroom....we went to the 9/20 Halloween Party and nobody even checked our wristband....and when we purchased the party t-shirts not one person checked either.

We got asked last Dec. 16th when we got in line for Rapunzel and Flynn. It was 6:15 and that CM meant business. We got asked to show our wrists until about 10:30 or so.

You'll get them immediately after going through the turnstiles.

As for PPs about not checking wristbands, I'm sure there are times you are being checked without even knowing it.

No, but there will be spots inside the park after 4-ish to get them and save you trekking back up to the front. The Hub and Stitch's Great Escape are commonly mentioned on here, but I can't personally vouch for those.

Thanks. I think we are going to head to MK earlier than 4 PM. I was not sure how it would work if we did that.

It was the Hub in 08 and 09 and Stitch last year. It's very easy. There's a line set up, they scan your tickets and put on your wristband and exit the other side. Very efficient!

When I was there for MNSSHP on Oct 7th it started pouring down rain right at 7pm and there were CM's stationed at the entrances of every building denying entrance to people without a wristband. It was a total mess on Main St with people trying to stand under the awnings to the stores due to the rain.
I was even standing under the cover of a popcorn cart and the CM there made the people without wristbands move toward the entrance.....I got to stay though since I had my wristband.

A CM saw us and said if we had wristbands we could re enter the building, which we ended up doing since it was gridlock, but they were not making the people standing there without them leave.

It did pour right at 7 pm but maybe you were lucky enough to be inside for that.....I did leave from under the popcorn cart and went to one of the stores on Main St and you are correct they were not making people leave from the sidewalks in front of the stores but they were certainly not letting anyone in without a wristband. I did go into the store and there were CM's everywhere checking wristbands.
It was nice though that the rain let up that night for most of the parade!

Ive seen some of the merchandise they are selling and want to buy a shirt for the party but I dont want to put it on during the party...I want to come to the park with it on....anybody know???

Party merchandise is only sold during the party.

The castle lighting is a short show that is IMHO one of the best bits of Disney magic. Just breathtaking. They do that every night though, so try to do it on a non-party night so you can get in the dwarf line early.

Yes, their is a castle lighting show that takes place at 6:15pm. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald come out and talk about how nicely decorated the Magic Kingdom is but Cinderella's castle is missing decoration. They all talk about how the castle should be decorated. The fairy godmother appears and says since it's Cinderella's castle, they should ask her. Then Cinderella and Prince Charming appear, Cinderella says she wants the castle to be covered in ice. The fairy godmother grants the wish and the lights turn on.

This is the cliff notes version.

If you want to dwarfs picture, I recommend skipping the castle light show. People start lining up for the dwarfs around 5:30pm. Wait times exceed well over 45 minutes all night long.

No, you can only purchase party merchandise during the party. Cast members bring the merch out at 7pm.
