Live from the 2/14/04 Magic! Finally in motion!

If you can remember, I am trying to find out if any of our servers are back on the Magic. I have some pictures of them with the kids that I would like to send them. Our head server was Nadege from France. The main server was Rudy from South Africa and our assistant server was Bayoki. They were WONDERFUL and made our cruise very special. We would LOVE to get to sit with them all again on our 12/4/04 cruise.

Thanks to whoever is able to find out anything!!!

We saw Nadege on the 1/31/04 Western cruise. She is a sweetheart! I cn't give you any information on the servers, however.

HADD!!! :wave2:

Have a great time on your cruise!
P.S. We have friends that are also aboard!

Andy,

Great job on the Key West picture. Thanks! I will print all of them when I get home.

The day was amazing! We actually arrived a bit early to Key West. Only a drop or two of rain all day. We just sailed away to our first day at sea.

The Captain is Thord Haugen. Tomorrow is formal night, meet the Captain reception, and I am so excited to see the Golden Mickey's.

The Cove Cafe is really nice, however they have put up a wall of sorts outside of the entrance, and made it a nice private area to sit. This morning I walked through a cloud of cigar smoke to get in, so be prepared to hold your breath while entering. Thank god there is no smoking inside. They have placed all the ashtrays out in the patio area.

MJ, thanks for the tip about British Pub night.

Rae, you are too funny about the snow falling on me in the hot tub. I am really looking forward to riding with Nicki.

Till tomorrow!

Robin

Keep 'em comin', best wishes for great weather!!!

Robin, I don't remember what your new cabin # was, hopefully you will see this. Palo brunch today 11:00. I will see you there! We have our character brkfst this morning and I will be leaving that to go directly to Palo.

Ursula, would love to say hi and meet you, or any other DISer that hasn't come forward. I'm no longer wearing the hat, but hopefully you can recognize me. (for the DISer who had the question about the hat, jeffrey made us pins, sent with lanards & bubbles; just last week we also received micky sailing hat ears from jeffrey & family to help us pick each other out)

ship really is rocking this morning! almost rolled me out of bed!

Our servers are great, Cia Romano and Sampog(very funny).

It is overcast now but is supposed to be 95 to 98 and sunny all day.

bye for now

Keep the reports coming. I'll be on the Magic this time next month and I'm getting excited.

Tell me more about the new Stack for teens. The furniture is hard, but are there other reasons they don't like it? My son had fun at Common Grounds last cruise.

wow I love reading the posts live from the ship..... I will have to remember this when We are on....

I have a quick question.... can you get life vests for kids in the goofy pool? If you do not have time to answer We understand...

Have a great cruise... and the weather is better than here... -20

Sending you some sunshine
:sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Pixie Mom 3,

I'm not so sure that you can get life vests for the kids at the pool. I know you can rent them at Castaway. You might want to look into bringing a small blowup type. If I happen to find out for sure, I will let you know.

MerryPoppins,

The two teens that are with me, this is their 5th cruise. They are so used to the common grounds, change is hard. The only thing they said was the chairs are hard plastic, and that is the only place to sit and hang. I know from years past, all my DD's "fun" photos are of all the kids practically on top of each other laying on the sofa. The stack has no where to really "hang" and relax. They have not mentioned the activities, however by the looks of the navigator, they are all the same.

Very rocky night on the ship last night. I love it, I sleep so good! The sea's have calmed down a bit, and the sun is even trying to come out! I really enjoy the new Cove cafe it is such a nice place to come and get coffee and check on the outside world via the computer.

Tonight is the Golden Mickey's and I am so looking forward to it.

I had brunch with DMomof3 today, no other DISer's in sight. Historically this has never been a big week for any kind of dis meet. (I'm hoping to participate in the 2005 "50th" birthday cruise!)

Ohh, missy, and were you invited?

Of course you were! And so is everyone else! Now do you know that they released the dates for 2005 but not mid May, June, July or August!!!!

Since Disneyland also turns 50 next year - get out your spies and find out from anyone and everyone what might be going on!
Corner Danielle, Captain Tom, guest services and dig, dig, DIG!!!!

We are all going crazy with our thoughts that they will reposition the Magic (thinking 10 day cruise) via Panama Canal to somewhere in California then cruise the Mexican Riviera til August then return via Canal to Port Canaveral.

Ohh, by the way, hope you are enjoying the weather. It's a balmy 10 degrees here now! I think I might just give up my parka and muckalucks.

Rae

Yes, please see if anyone lets anything slip about the summer of 2005 cruises!!!

Rae, I think we have you beat today, as we are up to a balmy 23 degrees.

Rae,

I was born in 55, and grew up 45 minutes from Disneyland. As I posted on the other thread, I am going to the future booking presentation in less than an hour, and plan to ask Donna plenty of questions.

Thanks for the invite, but I was planning on trying to swing this DIS cruise anyway. Going west (way west) would make it even more special to my old stomping grounds! If they offer a Panama cruise, I'm definately there!

It's about 77, and the sun is trying to come out. After the presentation, it's out on the deck for me! Sorry you are freezing.

Hey, I haven't seen any one else's actual date posted here!

Okay, I'm not shy! October 19th!

I've really gotta get off this computer now, and head down to see Donna.

Robin

Moocow..

You have the same birthday as my daughter but she was born 1992 and my sisters wedding anniversary in 1991.

I have to say this....I wasn't born in 1955!!!:teeth:

O.K. Robin, that makes you the baby of the group so far!!!

Hi LYNN or DMOMof3

I just read your post and I find this amazing----my parents and brother are on the 2/14 cruise right now too (I wanted to go, but I'm in college so it was too hard to skip a week of classes :( ) I talked to them yesterday when they were in Key West and their servers are Ciao Romano and Sampong too!!!!!!! We had Ciao on our last cruise 2 years ago so they requested him. My family is at the late seating so if you are too, you're probably sitting right next to them!!! My parents are both blond (Donna & Gary) with a 16 year old tall blond boy (Andrew). They are with a group of 4 other men and a teenager. If you see them, say hello from Alyssa! :) They're a fun outgoing group of DISers so be sure to introduce yourself! It's such a small world that I would read your post and notice that you have the same servers as my family! Anyway, have a great cruise and I love the updates--it makes me feel like I'm with my family even though I couldn't be there. :)

Alyssa :earsgirl:

Robin - rae519 - guess my birthdate!
