Live from Disney! (with pics)

:rotfl2: Great report!!! Hey Rob--I luv sweets too!!!! Any special recommendations? DH and I will be in the World in Jan/06.

Goooooood morning DISers! :cool1:

Thanks again for joining Rob and I for our adventure on the high seas. I am in a much better frame of mine this morning. We had a pretty good day at sea yesterday. I woke up early and did the trip report things. :goodvibes

Swam on the verandah for awhile (lol)

day12-1.jpg

Got showered and woke up Rob for some breakfast at the buffet. This is where Rob’s day starts to get good. Not only did he find his usual plate of fruit including watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple but he also found his chocolate croissants!! We have been dreaming about these for years now and they were every bit as good as we remember. So we sat down and started eating and then I looked over and saw something that we had missed. Told Rob I would be right back. I returned with his absolute all time fave thing to eat…a fruit salad. Last time all they had were the fruits I listed above but I found a whole fruit bar with his FAVE blueberries and some raspberries (my fave!), strawberries, bananas, kiwi, apricots and some prunes too.

day12-2.jpg

I put some of each except prunes and apricots and then got him 7 little coffee creams and some equal (that is how he likes his fruit salads) and when he saw it, he almost lost it! You should have seen the smile on his face LOL

Went back to the room and vegged for awhile. I ended up taking a wee little nap while he did some computer stuff and then we ordered room service. The ham & cheese was yucky but would have been much better had it still been warm. The chicken tenders were good but so far the cookies I have tasted taste like they have been burnt. :confused3

day12-3.jpg

We went down to Promenade Lounge for some salsa lessons, that was fun!!! We’ve been salsa-ing ever since!

Back to the room to get all dressed up. Went down to The Walt Disney Theatre to watch The Golden Mickeys. Afterwards, we took a few formal photos and then caught the family show of Gary Delana. Man this guy is talented!

day12-4.jpg

day12-5.jpg

Time for dinner in Animator’s Palate. Tonight was the “show” where the restaurant goes from black & white to colour while you eat.

The menus were amazing…they had holographic Disney images on them!!!
day12-6.jpg

We all ordered two main courses so our table was full LOL! :rotfl:

day12-7.jpg

The butternut squash soup was delicious but my sirloin was not very good.

The Boston Cream Pie cake was divine though!

The servers were quite a bit better this evening, still not like Sasha and Attila, but better than the night before!
day12-8.jpg

day12-9.jpg

We went to Rockin Bar D for the adult show from Gary Delana. He was hilarious!! I am glad we caught that show, it was so fun!

When we got back to the cabin, we had received our gifts from Dreams and the returning gift of a beach bag. Although I was a little disappointed yesterday that I had to fight for it, they did come through so that made us happy!

day12-11.jpg

Rob joined me in the hot tub for a little bit and then I went for a swim.

day12-12.jpg

We really started rocking last night, don’t know how high the waves are since we don’t get that channel anymore but you can sure feel it this morning!!! Woooo!

Headed to bed for some much needed rest!! :earboy2:

Today’s adventures will include…

Character Breakfast at Parrot Cay
Exotic Rasul Spa Treatment
Twice Charmed show
Dinner at Palo

BTW...sorry for any typos or spelling errors, trying to get the reports out as fast as I can :groom:

It's me again reading this thread. I totally understand the "somebody always gets sick in our trips". I'm usually the one. Did you ever try Airborne? You take it before going on an airplane or being around large groups. It worked for me last trip to WDW in May. Airborne is an immune sytem booster. It's full of vitamins, zinc, echinacia, stuff like that. Can't wait to hear about the rest of your cruise. Hope you all stay healthy.

sounds like your trip is starting to get better! BTW I thought that you didn't have to dress for dinner on the cruise. Has this changed? I have to admit that, so far, I haven't heard anything that would change my mind about a cruise. The food hasn't been too good, water where it doesn't belong and problems with servers. Not good. Am wondering if a few more days in WDW would be a better idea. I am trying to like the idea of a cruise as DH wants to do this. Will keep reading in hopes that you have a better time and can help DH to convince me that it is a good thing!

Timon -- another fabulous report -- don't worry about the typos. We just enjoy the reports so!

You guys are the best! Thanks for all the informative entertainment.

I've been without PC access for a few days now and have been dying to get to work to check for your reports! Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your trip!

Thanks for the great reports. As a first time cruiser next year I am really getting the flavor of it. May I ask what kind of camera you use. The photographs are FABULOUS. I'm the photo nut in my family, always trying to get everyone to slow down and stop so I can take pictures, I constantly get the UGHS from them all, but once they see all the pictures when the trip is over they are happy I did it. Have a great trip and pixie dust for good weather and more pixie dust for some good food for you Timon.

Cass I just found this thread-- I usually see you on the scrappin' board!
Your pix and TR are awesome! Thanks for letting us "Share the Magic" right along with you!! :flower:

Cass and Rob,
I LOVE your formal picture together!! You guys are the cutest couple!!!!!:teeth:
Thanks for the posts....I am really enjoying them. I can't wait to read tomorrow's report. Have a great day!!

Dana

Thanks for keeping the reports coming while on the cruise. I've been debating taking a Disney cruise for the past few years. I just can't decide if I would really enjoy it.
Swam on the verandah for awhile (lol)

That quote had me LOL. :rotfl: I hope they clear the verandah off for you. It would be a shame if you couldn't get the full benefit of it. Definitely complain. Sometimes that's the only way to get the job done. Have a nice dinner tonight. I wonder what the dessert will be?? :goodvibes Hope it's good.

i'm enjoying reading your thread so much,i never fancied the idea of a cruise but you have made me rethink on that one!!! :teeth:

Thank You so much for the reports and pictures. I also visited your web site ooh, to have a scrap room like yours! I am so excited for you and your husband. I am looking forward to scoops, tell Ron to lay low!! :rotfl:
