Why can't they just come up with new live action content instead of turning every stinking animated movie into a live action one?
Yeah D+ or C- Somewhere in thereMore D+ material...

Just you wait. When Wish comes out this fall, it'll also release alongside a shot for shot live action remake.
Exactly! Not to mention it seems like a slap in the face of the original. This seems really early for a live action remake already
The Black Cauldron would be a great choice! It does feel a little bit soon for this to be happening but I guess time is relative.
Even though Disney would probably see it as a risky move, I'd much rather they give the "live-action treatment" to past animated works that didn't do so hot their first time around or the ones that remain relatively niche. The idea of giving live-action adaptations to the likes of The Black Cauldron, Mr. Toad, etc. has the potential to reinvigorate those older properties and open more doors for Disney. I think movies like Moana, Beauty and the Beast and Lion King have already had their proverbial popularity doors opened and don't need the help other franchises might. At least, not yet.
I love Moana too. That and Sleeping Beauty are my top faves of the Disney animated films, completely exclusive of Pixar.I’m not sure how I feel about this yet.
I LOVE Moana, one of my top 5 favorite animated movies, I don‘t know if I want to see it in live action.
The jury is still out for me
I haven't been excited by any of Disneys latest films. This is no exception. No imagination and all are a rehash of previous works or are poorly contrived and quite boring. I am very surprised that LM was a financial success. I do not know anyone who viewed this film or has any desire to do so. Been there done that...nothing new.![]()
Yes it was awful. It really reveals the state of Disneys lack of imagination nowadays. They kicked the talent to the curb. Just another reason to be totally disgusted with the current regime.Well, Strange World was very original, imaginative, not a rehash, nor a sequel. Then again, it bombed at the box office, proving once againt hat audiences WANT rehashes. It's unfortunate, but it's a fact.
