Lightning Lane no longer offered today 10/11

Not a glitch. It sold out yesterday. It was being discussed on the GCH thread. @AstroBlasters is there and is reporting back on the crowds. @cinabc to answer your question, LL rarely sells out.

I'll be there today but mostly for pin trading and Kings at the Castle. I doubt that I'll go on on any rides.

So if I buy LL ahead of time, this means that there is a chance that you get to the park and can't even use it? I am planning to go December 27th which will be a very busy day as well. So it could potentially just be a waste of money?

You can use it. It's just sold out for today. If they don't limit the number sold, the wait time will be too long at the rides.

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking. If you buy it in advance, it will be active as soon as you pass through the entrance turnstiles. If you don't purchase it in advance, there is a chance that it will not be available for purchase after you enter the park.

As far as being able to use it, do you mean that there will be so many people with LL that you won't be able to book attractions? That depends on how knowledgeable and skilled you are with booking and modifying LLMP. Personally, I think LLMP at DLR is more valuable than it is at WDW - We paid for it at WDW but it only helped us with a couple of attractions at each park.

Sold out again today at park open.

Disney Parks management has prioritized selling discounted tickets through Costco over the Magic Key holders.

We will not be renewing our Magic Keys when they expire in August.

Thank you for clarifying! When I read the above post, I had a moment of panic as we bought LL with our tickets for 12/20-12/24.

Nope, that's actually a very good argument to buy it ahead of time: to make sure it doesn't sell before you have a chance to add it on!

I hadn't seen any postings in the GCH thread for over a week (it's one I keep an eye on), but thanks to your link I found the discussion in the VGC thread.

May I gently suggest that when DISboards participants have major information such as "LLMPs sold out today" to please start a thread in the main level of the Disneyland forum? Putting that information in a subthread in the Disney Vacation Club forum means that very few DISboards readers who might be affected by the situation will see the posting. Grazie!

The VGC thread is my tribe.

Conversations ebb and flow in each thread. There is a thread about crowds that migrated to a conversation about scooters. It is difficult to start a new thread about everything, that's why I linked to where AstroBlasters mentioned it yesterday and tagged them so they were aware of this thread.

My wife just met up with a friend who is down here at the park because they got an email for 40% off a 2-day ticket package that included LL (not Costco).

Sounds like LL is like park reservations - best to not wait any more than you have to so you can make sure you get them. Would really hate to show up and find out they were sold out!

Do you know more details on that offer? Maybe some kind of locals deal like the California passes I've heard about recently?

Sounds like it might be this.

I guess when you have a Magic Key you can only buy LL day of. I can say that if I paid that much for a non resident Magic Key I would be real mad.
