Let's Play "The Next Poster"...Disneyland style! Part 2

Same!! My friend got one with the brass castle and I was always sorry I didn't get one. I would also totally buy one now.

I'm not sure if it was The Fab Four, but they were awesome.

False, though it took me a few decades to get there! I always thought it would be meh, but I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.

TNP has seen something at DLR that most people haven't.

True! I've been lucky enough to work as a General Contractor at DLR and have seen so many back-of-house areas that most would never be able to see. One of my favorites being the Tomorrowland Terrace Kitchen, which goes 3 stories underground. Not the "coolest" but definitely something different.

Sticking with the "Tomorrowland" theme... TNP never went inside Innoventions before it closed...

Would definitely be interesting to see how some of the "backstage" areas work in the parks.

True - Had to look up Innoventions to see what it was and definitely never visited that attraction when it existed.

And speaking of closed attractions, TNP never went on Splash Mtn and now never will.

False-though not a fan of getting wet and walking around, have been on it several times when the kiddos were younger.

TNP-will never get on Mickey's Funwheel (Pixar Pal-Around), even the stationary cars are too much....

TNP has never taken a Disney cruise or taken some non-parks Disney adventure....
True. I don't care for cruises and my kids are grown. We couldn't really do it when they were younger but maybe if/when I get grandkids...

I'm not sure if this qualifies or not, but I've done a few non-park things. I've visited the Disney Family Museum, visited Walt's memorial in Forest Lawn, ate dinner at Walt's table in the Tam O'Shanter, toured the Disney Studios, and things of that sort. I've attended some special events and once chatted with Kathryn Beaumont (voice of Wendy, Alice) at an event at Walt's Barn.

TNP has had an extended period of time when they didn't do Disney.

Sadly, I have! But it was for a good reason~ I had very young kids lol. I didn't go for 7 years but it felt like 100.

TNP has been at Disneyland for New Year's Eve.

False-We have been on Turkey day a couple of times and once on Christmas day (oh my). But never have we been in the land on New Year's Eve.

TNP has discovered the joy of mobile food ordering and uses it each trip.

True! It's very convenient. I'm not always sure where I'm going to be at any given time so I rarely order ahead by very much. If it's really busy, mobile order doesn't always work out in that case, but I once mobile ordered a very popular Christmas treat from Jolly Holiday for later that night before it sold out, which it did by noon. I also like that I can order from one place and my friends from another and still eat together (example: I love Bengal BBQ skewer plate and can mobile order it and they love bao buns, which you can't mobile order).

TNP has done a special tour.

We have never done a special tour at Disneyland, have done a few at Disney World. We have done dessert parties for both Fantasmic and WOC, but no tours. Almost pulled the trigger, maybe next time we go during a crowded time.

TNP has gone to the parks just for limited merch offers.

Nope, in fact one of my pet peeves is merch hogs!

TNP is a direct owner in DVC.
No. I have a fear of timeshares, but people seem to love DVC. I used to get invited to a presentation every year with a nice Disney gift card as a bonus. I was interested in the info but mostly there for the GC. I was sad that they quit doing it after Covid. I had a trip planned before the parks shut down and my friend and I, who were going together, were each promised a $50 gc for attending, but then bam, parks were closed and that was the end of that promo, it seems. I guess they don't need it to sell the property!

TNP is/was a CM.

No. Both of my kids applied for corporate positions but did not gain employment with Disney during their college years.

TNP has a Disney cup for coffee, a Disney cup for water, a Disney cup for, you get the idea.

I know we have had documentaries, but how about a full blown film on the making of Disneyland or Disney World.

For Disneyland, I would love to have been a fly on the wall on the planning, construction and opening days.

For Disney World, I would be interested in the secrecy and shell companies and how it all came about.

TNP will always watch a Disney movie or show to get hyped for their upcoming visits...

False-don't need to get hyped up, just let me in the gates. Three weeks out from a one day visit-ooh so little time in the parks.

TNP has planned out their 2025 park visit(s), agenda, lodging, meals, shows, etc.

False. I don't plan things out very far in advance because life is too unpredictable, at least for me. I also enjoy the excitement of a last-minute decision to go or opportunity I wasn't expecting to come along.

TNP has thought about (whether for real or just daydreaming) being a CM someday.

True-but not for long. I would be afraid that the magic would wear thin if I actually worked there. And the customer is not always right, so I would be biting my tongue too much and too quickly.

TNP has Disney gifts as the bulk of their holiday offerings to family and friends...
