Lets go Steelers!!!!!!!!!!

I was at the Strip on Saturday and it really was INSANE!! They actually had to close Penn Ave! The line for Feinbergs wrapped around the block. Luckily we ran into my cousin and she told me not to wait because it was all picked over. Thank goodness I heard from her on that one!! I did end up getting 2 shirts - one says "The Bus Never Stops" on the front and "The Bus 36" on the back. The other one I love says "Keeping the Drive For Five Alive" and has the 1970s Steelers faces above the 2005 Steelers. It is so neat! I got the last one they had on Saturday. I'm going to load my pictures tonight, so I'll show them to all of you when I get them up. It was great to be in the heart of the Steeler Nation though! :thumbsup2

I also got stuck in traffic for the Pep Rally on Friday - I was going to go but my sinuses kept me home. :( The traffic for the stadium started on the Parkway at GREENTREE. It was out of control. I took the route through town to get back to the North Hills. If I didn't I'd probably still be sitting there. ;)

Overall, what a great non-game Steeler weekend!!! Safes travels to the boys as they head to Detroit today!!!! :cheer2:

Well I seen on the noon news , the team got to Detroit safe and sound. Some of the players were wearing Jerome's old Notre Dame shirt. Nice guys!

That crew on USAirways was a hoot. They were all dressed in Steeler gear including the pilot. After the plane landed, the pilot opened his window and was waving a Terrible Towel out the window. Gotta love it!

Here's my latest shirt creation inspired by the Swarovski gemmed shirt on Ebay. I bought iron on sequined letters and made my phrase. The sheet was only $9.99. at Michaels. Sorry I couldn't get this photo to sparkle more. :smooth:

Sorry to keep posting, but what is the Reebok Fanzone (held in Windsor, Canada)?

It's been interesting watching the NFL network today being it is "Media Day". Got to see press conferences with the Bus and Big Ben earlier today. They were getting ready to take their superbowl team picture a little while ago.

On a sad note, Deuce Staley's dad passed away after a long battle with cancer...keep him and his family in prayer.

:teleport: bumping :teleport:

I've posted so much here. My fingers started cramping pretty bad from typing so much last week.

Any way, I'll help keep this thread on PAGE ONE for you . That's where your thread belongs, tubman. BTW, thanks for starting it. I hope you will start the Steelers vs. Seahawks thread as well....hint hint ;)

We'll be in Detroit late Fri. to late Sat.! I am so excited! I gotta get packing!

:thumbsup2 Black and Gold ALL the WAY!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I saw that in Sports Illistrated. He said it symbolizes "fun."

Well the SeaHawks fans are trying to get a strong hold on the front page so we need to keep this thread rockin' :woohoo: :woohoo:

Today in the cafeteria at work, they put up a huge Steeler display, complete with a 70's Terrible Towel, several jerseys and hats and a Steeler blanket. Now that would be par for the course in Pittsburgh, but in the middle of Richmond, it was a sight for sore eyes!

Steeler fans are everywhere!

We have nineteen Terrible Towels in our house. And 14 of those are on 2 blankets.

I am SO EXCITED that the Steelers are GOIN TO THE
SUPERBOWL....somebody sit me down!
Not sure where to watch the game: in seclusion so I can
concentrate, at a big party with huge tvs in every room
or with our good friends at a smaller party!

It's a great problem to have isn't it!!!!

Where are YOU going to watch?

Go Steelers, Rock my world! Here we GO Steelers Here we Go!

I love love love telling my DH Mr.They'll never beat the Colts
how they BEAT Indianapolis! Woo hoo!

So should we hope for a close exciting game or a blow out?
Sit me down, I'm starting to hyperventilate!
How many days before the game?

I need to go read some other threads to calm down.

Hines Ward has a Mickey tatoo? I want a Mickey tatoo!

Steelers!!!!! Go Steelers!

LOL! We have two ...one that is "lucky" and I wear folded on my left shoulder till I have to wave it....(dont ask..lol)

and one that DH considers to be "unlucky" and is banished to the basement.....(you can't throw it out...that's like sacrilege!).....my son found it and had it out a couple of games ago and I thought DH was gonna have a heart attack....back in the basement it went! What can I say? Steeler superstitions! :teeth: :rotfl:

I'm right there with you on the superstitions. My Terrible Towels didn't come out until the first playoff game (as Myron would have it) and have since been hung on my bedpost every night. They come off only for the games, when one of them is tied on my head and the other is in my hand to wave.

For the Indianapolis game, I got called into work during the 3rd quarter to do some data testing and I wore my Terrible Towel in the front pocket of my jeans. Polamalu's interception got reversed and I said to my co-workers "I don't care how stupid this looks, I have to wear it on my head" and I did.

Don't question the mojo...just run with it!

My son is so excited that we finally found a Bettis jersey for him. He has a Ben one, but has been wanted Jerome. :cool1:

ONE FOR THE THUMB!!! :thumbsup2
