Finally seeing the lobby in person and I think it’s beautiful!!!! Bar and all!! Pictures do not do it justice. Just wow.

Gaspy’s area around 8 am. Theres a portable light stationed here. Also over by the Courtyard pool.

Disappointed to see all the games are gone. Ping pong, foosball and the chess game.

Characters were out & about

Traffic Circle Takes Shape Outside Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort​

Since our previous update, the traffic circle and connecting roads have been paved. The roundabout is mostly round, but is not a perfect circle. It’s located just west of the existing Grand Floridian parking lot.

The addition of this traffic circle is part of the Floridian Way rerouting project. It also passes the Magnolia Golf Course, the Disney Wedding Pavilion, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

I finally got a chance to get a mocktail at the Perch bar and see the lobby transformation at The Grand Floridian. I love everything!
I don’t drink, so I was not initially happy when I heard they were putting a bar in the middle of the lobby. But it looks grand and the lemonade drink I got there was very good and the lobby is beautiful…. the carpeting, the furniture, everything!

Construction Walls & Scrim Removed From Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort​

There were previously walls at the two entrances of the tea room. These have been replaced by curtains. There was scrim across the front windows but this has been removed.


The windows now feature three stained glass pieces. Before the refurbishment, these were plain solid windows.



The right window features one bird looking down at another.


We went to the other side of the tea room and peeked through the windows, finding it apparently done inside. There are new chairs with leaf-patterned backs around square tables with light wood tabletops. Like the rest of the lobby, it has new carpeting.

Disney previously announced the Garden View Tea Room would open in early 2026 with a “new tea experience.” It’s possible Disney will soft open it this week for Christmas.

More Lobby Construction​

Upstairs, there are curtains down from this wall where some construction was taking place. When we last checked in, there were holes in the wall, but these have all been sealed up.



In the entryway for Cítricos and Victoria & Albert’s, some tape is covering a line down the wall from the crown molding to the floor.


Curtains are also down from outside the Enchanted Rose Lounge. These walls were once dark blue and then plain white. Newly added are rose gold wallpaper accents.



One set of curtains remains outside Curiouser Clothiers on the first floor. The wallpaper has been completely replaced in this area.

Do we think it is likely that the Senses Spa will also be furbished? I think that's the only building that won't have been touched once they're done with the Convention Center.

The Perch was busy so I ran up to ER to the to -go line.

Which is more important ? A good wine? Or a glass vs plastic ?

The wine is better at ER but if sitting in lobby the perch has Glass,

Rock beats scissors, quality wine beats glass, something like that.

Anyways the perch! I sat across from it and as someone that has sat in the lobby many times I can say it’s hard to believe the bar takes up so little space! That bird cage was just such unused space!

Also went from packed and a line to empty in like 20 mins.

Thought of it but knew EWP was starting soon so I took plastic to boat dock! Got to ride boat and watch, one of my favs!

My grand will be one in April! Best time having that lil girl in my life.

Dd says she knows someone that might know but is asleep. (Assumes). If I hear my thing I’ll let you know.
