The Countdown is On!
I made this chalkboard out of a canvas painted with chalkboard paint ... yep, that easy. We have it displayed on our mantel. My daughter likes to help with counting down, she's just as excited.
We received our Marriage License in the mail. We paid the million extra dollars to do it online, if there was an easier way to do it online without having to go to the courthouse, I don't want to know! We didn't want to cut out any time at the Parks since we are going before our cruise.
We added this "letter" to our Welcome Bags ... it's actually a postcard I made (free) on Zazzle. I keep looking at the picture, because all I see here in NY is gray clouds and white crap falling from the sky. I am beyond over Winter and ready for Spring!
We also added an Itinerary and on the back is everyone's stateroom numbers. I made that at home and laminated it.
I also found a ton of (unread ... free) magazines laying around that I decided to throw in each bag. Depending on the couple/family, depended on the magazine. I always like to read magazines while laying on the beach or by the pool ...
I had a Scentsy party back before Christmas and I was able to score these free with my Host rewards. The scent is Ocean. I had originally bought a few packs of car scents from Yankee Candle, but when I opened them, they were not individually packaged, so I'm giving these instead ... I lightly opened them so when they open the bag it will have a scent to it. It smells nice, wish it was coconut though ...
I think that's it for the Welcome Bags, besides what we already had added. I really wanted to add Taffy, but we are mailing these bags to the Port instead of lugging them all over. I did not add any food/beverage to the bags. Because they have to be there ahead of time, I have no idea where they will be ... I didn't want to have to worry about it making a (possible) mess.

Back in 2010, I made this purse autograph book for my daughter. I thought about making these again for my younger nieces. If time permits, we'll see!
But maybe an idea for someone else reading this ...

Lesley you and I think a lot alike. I also did our marriage license online $193.50, ouch. I ordered and received scentsy circles for our welcome bags this week as well. I ordered jet, set, go & beach sent. We have a framed chalkboard next to our front door and are counting down the days. It's almost time!!!

I LOVE Scentsy. I don't think I remember smelling the Jet, Set & Go one .. I really wanted something coconut, but I opted for the Ocean scent. Just smelling it is making me VERY excited

11 days until we depart for Orlando! 15 days until our cruise, 16 days until our ceremony!
We finally agreed on adding stateroom credit for our "wedding favor" We contemplated on several different ideas, but this seemed to be the best option. I went to Target and bought (more) gift cards, saved the 5%, and called them in to DCL. It did take quite a bit of time.
We also shipped out our Welcome Bags to the Port today. This is to ensure that our guests will have the bag when they arrive in their stateroom. And we won't have to worry about lugging them to the Port.
Since we will not have our other box ready to go, we will still ship this to the Contemporary and unfortunately lug it over to the Port.

How exciting!!
Here is a picture frame that we will place next to our Message in a Bottle Guest Book ...
I found the small bottle at Hobby Lobby and attached it to the picture frame. On the scroll of paper it says:
I'm sure you (or most of you) can figure out what movie/book it's from ... one of my favorites!
I actually have another bottle with the same message that I am hoping they will allow on the cake. Meredith said it would be up to them onboard, fingers are crossed! If not, not really a big deal.
My lifesaver is finished ... I messed with this thing so much, I'm not completely happy with it, but the box needs to get shipped out today, so I have to be okay with it.
